IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) - is it effective?

My sister underwent IPL for her stubborn facial hairs naman (so parang IPL for hair removal).  Ganda ng effect, luminaw talaga face niya. and we actually thought she was kinda morena, yun pala mabuhok lang face niya.

Got IPL hair removal from facial care centre, i love it!! they have 50% off promos minsan so watch out for it... got my full legs treatment for 70K lang.. that's for 9 treatments spanning over  2 years, every 3 months lang kasi.. from parang lalake na kulot at makapal ang balahibo, i have a few thin stray strands n lang.. i have 3 sessions left, hindi ko pa natapos kasi i got pregnant, hindi pwede pag buntis.. fortunately, the hormonal changes that goes with the pregnancy did not affect my hair growth negatively, bumagal pa nga [textspeak!] pagtubo ng facial and body hair ko, sa iba kasi kumakapal and mabilis tumubo. Worth it ang IPL if you ask me. Get it lang talaga from reputable facilities, don't experiment with your skin.. huwag magpadala sa mababang presyo, pag nasira nila ang balat mo hindi naman sila ang mananagot eh, hindi rin sila ang magdadala nun, ikaw din naman.. wag ka magbayad para mapeklatan..

downside lang ng konti: some ladies like their moles, or yung mga nunal... IPL fades them... nawala [textspeak!] mga moles ko sa hita, i found them sexy pa naman... sayang... ahihi...

i had 7 ipl sessions for underarm hair removal, im happy that's it's effective for me, wala na me hair, meron man tumubo, very fine hair na lang. nag lessen na chicken skin ko kasi never na me nagpluck at wax, hoping maglast ng matagal. i know hair reduction lang ang ipl. sabi naman ng derma ko magkakaroon pa rin ng hair growth after ilang months, pero per shot n lang ng area daw ang i-ipl.

buti pa sa inyo mga sis.  i had 5 sessions of ua ipl.  parang wala lang nangyari. maybe because i got it from voucher lang. pero among the ipl merchants naman sya ang pinakamahal.  Still have 1 last voucher tinatamad tuloy ako

hi sis before ngtry ako ngpa ipl, nakatatlong session ako and it was being done after facial pra mas open ang pores ko much better yung penetration ng light. Effective [textspeak!] sis i felt nun  ngtigthen and lighten ang skin ko, and less inflammation ang [textspeak!] effect ng skin ko sa facial and less prone sa infection.give it a try but i know u should not be taking antiobiotc na may tretinoin.

mga sis who had IPL on underarms, paanong procedure sa inyo?  curious lang kasi i had sessions done, voucher din, and super simple lang ng procedure.  as in pag punta sa clinic tanggal lang ng top then i-laser na.  ganun lang din ba sa inyo?

Yes sis. Sakin lilinisin lang ang underarm mo then they put ig na gel, laser na after nun then done na..

^sa akin walang gel ö  isip ko mga kung makakabawas siya ng discomfort pero may nabasa ako even with the gel may "sakit" pa rin (parang pinitik ng rubber band).  siguro sa gel na sila nag cost-cutting since voucher ang gamit ko.

^sa may likod ng SSS sa east ave. medyo generic yung name ng clinic eh, wala nga name sa voucher pero maayos naman yung clinic, in and out.  okay din naman mga attendant.  i just felt lang na kung regular price ako magbayad parang, "yun na yun?"

I did my first brazilian IPL. This is the procedure they did to me. First they shaved my hair then nilagyan ng topical anesthesia and babad for few minutes then nilagyan ng gel before i-laser. That's it! Hindi naman painful for me siguro kasi i have been waxing for years na so may high tolerance na ako sa pain

Hi mga sis! maintaining my underarm hair free with plucking gives me so much agony. There are a lot of clinics now that offers IPL but the cheapest based on my inquiries was around 1k per session. And you still need to undergo about 8 to 10 sessions to see better results. Until I saw and purchased multiple vouchers offered at a penny auction site that had an ad "80% off on IPL treatment". It's about 3 months now since my 8th session and satisfied with the results. The clinic is just walking distance from MRT Kamuning station, in a building corner EDSA and Scout Borromeo St.

was able to avail of Skin Rejuve's voucher rate through my friend, buti na lang, sobrang sulit!  at sobrang laki ng diperensya nila dun sa 1st kong pinuntahan (see my previous post).  unang una na lang, may gel sa Skin Rejuve (haynaku)!  pangalawa, unlimited laser shots.  dun sa 1st clinic tamang 5x per ua.  well i thought at first oks lang kasi medyo masakit siya so those 5x really made me cringe in discomfort and pain.  kaso nga kung may gel naman you can go beyond 5x.  in short, tinipid ka na sa gel, tinipid ka pa sa laser shots.  hays talaga. 

third and last, i prefer the attendants at SR, mas attentive kasi hehe.  dun sa 1st the attendants were not bad pero with SR kasi you can feel na they want to deliver their service to you, voucher or not.  they're professional but not cold or distant, basta yung feeling na they mean business.  and to think na ang dala ko lang is a scanned photo of my receipt from my friend who bought for me.  pero no hassle, they accommodated me just the same.
