Hi sis! ;)

Dito ang venue nila:
-Ultra (Philippine Sports Complex, Pasig)
-Amoranto Stadium Swimming Pool, QC
-Rizal Memorial Stadium Swimming Pool, Manila..

I'm so happy, 2nd day ko pa lang last Saturday pero marunong na ko ng breast stroke saka survival..haha!

hi po! may i inquire about the instructor you are talking about? because i am really interested in enrolling in a swimming program this summer and noticing how big the discount i can get if i was referred i just want to learn more about it :D

Are you talking about SwimPlus? Ako din Day 2 pa lang natuto na ko ng breaststroke although I still needto improve my arm pull and whip kick coordination. Here's Coach Ed Loteria's number for those interested to enroll: 0916-5425149

A bit off the topic(OT if you prefer)
Someone from this thread asks why chose female instructors?
I specifically chose to find straight female instructors because it comforts my mindset that I am safe
while in 1-1 trainning or learning a new skill. i had one very first bad experience when i was 21yrs old learning how to drive from an unprincipled instructor. i did not complete my driving lessons and kept silent with the issue and shrug it away as a bad incident. I am always dressed casually(long jeans, plain polo shirt)I never flirted or talk nonsense with any of my instructors even in my younger years. But this does not mean all instructors are bad or hyenas. I just have to keep guard myself everytime. Though male instructors are the best coach when it comes to technical trainning, i would hate to punish myself "over respecting" my trainor when I paid for that trainning and for the experience.

I just want to share my swimming lesson experience last year at Syvilletech Training and Development Center. They are affiliated to De Voyager Academy or I can say na iisa lang sila.

I and my bf are really eager to learn swimming for our boracay trip. Gusto kasi namin puntahan ang Ariel's point kaya gusto namin matutong lumangoy. So nagresearch kami ng cheapest swimming lesson sa internet and we found their ad in sulit.

The advertisement is very tempting because it offers unli-swimming for P1999 for one month. So we enrolled there. We enrolled last year, noong sembreak. That was last October. Dalawa lang ang lagi naming nakaka-usap, si Ms. Maricel whom I think is the boss and si Ms. Emerlyn, who is the frontdesk personnel.Going back, our coach (Sir Harry) was actually a former coach from Bert Lozada, so talagang magaling sya and we learned a lot during our 3 sessions of swimming lessons. Marunong na din ako ng floating through dog paddling and marunong na ako a little bit of freestyle. We were really very happy and we were thinking na nakamura talaga kami. Sad to say, nakaka-3 sessions pa lang kami until now.

Here's the story. Nung tumawag kami sa syvilletech for our 4th session, nagsakit daw ang instructor namin so hindi na natuloy. After a week, tumawag ako ulit and they told me na may sakit pa rin daw, dahil na-hospital. So sige, naintindihan ko. Tapos after a week ulit, I called them and they offered me na hahanapan na lang daw nila kami ng bagong instructor. So nag-go na ako so we can resume the swimming lesson. After like a week, I called them. Wala pa daw instructor. A week again, may ini-interview na daw sila. Then, after a week, eh inaayos pa daw. And take note, ako lagi ang tumatawag sa kanila, never silang nag-update sa amin. Never silang tumawag or nag-text para sa update.

Nung Christmas break na, I called them and hindi pa rin makapag-resume because of same old reasons. Kesyo inaayos pa daw, kesyo genyan daw. Paulit-ulit.

Her name is Maricel. I forgot the last name. Sabi sa 'kin, within the week daw ay bibigyan nila kami ng definite date to resume.

Kasawa..

Pasensya na mga sis sa mahabang post. I just think na kailangan nyong malaman ito. Sobrang nakakadala eh.

Update: Coach Rowena, aka Weng resumes coaching afternoon sessions only at Rizal stadium.
Both female coach are good (I happen to like am sessions kaya ako napunta kay Coach Flor)
Swimming lessons are still open with Coach Flor, Weng, and male coach Rolly. Flexible time kasi ang offer nila (pwede sa am or pm time till rizal closed by 5pm) All Mondays, Rizal pool is closed for all lessons and trainning. Nakakatuwa kasi maraming young, teen and adult beginners napa float nila.
Plus the fact that they offer 1-1 instructions.

abbykulet Sorry to hear your sentiments about that swimming lesson buti na lang kahit mura hindi muna ako nag attempt na mag enroll sa ganyan or else I would feel the same thing.

Okay ka ba for diving? Kasi in my case ha? marunong na ako ng mga swimming routines and stroke pero hindi meaning nun is malakas na ang loob ko for diving kasi that is different na. Ang advise ko kasi sana is mag swimming lesson ka muna to learn different strokes then after that saka ka magdiving lesson sa Rizal Stadium kasi meron talaga sila nun.

^Yes, diving sya. And okay naman ako sa diving. At adventurous talaga ako.

Update about Syvilletech, I already sent an email about Refund request sa kanila as per Ms. Vanessa. And I hope that we get a fair amount.

^Thanks for the info.
