Keratin Treatment / Brazilian Blow Out

My hair is all bleached and dry. Really dry. Ano masmaganda for this, keratin treatment or bb?

ang gulo na ng terms na gamit nila ngayon. Before it used to be Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatment which will last up to 3-4 months and you can't wash your hair for 72 hours. Versus the Brazilian Blowout which will last up to 6 weeks and hair is washable the next day, no downtime and mas mabilis sa salon - 2hrs.

I guess the Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatment is now referred to as the Brazilian Blowout since ganoon na yung terms. The "Keratin Treatment" now is defined as ?

Actually Brazilian Blowout is a brand,they have their own site.nagpa-Keratin Complex Smoothing treatment ako dati sa Tony & Guy,ganda ng effect.24hrs lang ang downtime,if I remember it right.I used Organix shampoo.nag-last ang effect ng 4mos.expensive lang talaga yung mga original na Keratin blowout treatment.

I tried 2wks ago yung Keratin Blowout sa Index Salon,ngayon balik na uli waves ko and almost balik sa dati hair ko.pero still manageable naman.pero not worth it though.kasi if I'll have it 2x a month just to keep the waves at bay,eh di sa medyo high end salon na ko papagawa hehe

^ahhh so that explains it! brand pala. kasi ginagamit siyang term for treatment. and other salons mix it na. 72 hours din ang downtime ng Keratin Complex Smoothing treatment sa Tony & Guy sis. Yung Express Blowout/Keratin Blowout ang walang downtime pero results niya would only last for 6 weeks. Agree, kung may permanent effect lang sana yun, sulit! Back then 3500 ang lowest promo niya so parang 3500x4 (since 3 mos lang siya sakin) = 14k in 1 year. ouch. di carry ng budget ko hehe.

Hi girls,

First time to post here. I am planning to get a brazilian blowout kasi pero naconfuse ako nung nagbasa ako ng thread na to... magkaiba po ba yung keratin treatment at brazilian blowout?
I've read two blogs na kasi, sabi dun kapag nagbrazilian blowout ka you can wash your hair na agad no downtime.. bakit po yung mga nagpabrazialian blowout sa thread na to ang sabi they have to wait for 3 days bago iwash yung hair?

^nako sis the salons kasi IMO use it interchangeably eh. sa mga napagtanungan ko din na salons (LPK, T&G, David's, etc) iba iba gamit nilang terms. mas ok daw ang brazilian blowout than keratin treatment pero iba iba explanation nila kaloka.

basta ang same lang is, kung walang downtime, mas mabilis magwear off ang effect. dapat kasi 72 hours eh.

4k at ystilo salon. keratin treatment din ang tawag sa kanila and yes ang pinagkaiba lang daw is the brand name.

2 days daw ang downtime but i washed mine after a day kasi may lakad ako. Nawala naman ang mga waves ng hair ko, though for sure mabilis lang ang effect niya, which is okay lang din naman sakin. Mas gusto ko rin naman kasi yung natural na bagsak lang.
Nawala lang yung pagka-frizzy ng hair ko which is the effect im after.

may nakita akong deal sa envy me salon, i can choose naman if rebond, perming, color or blowout. kaso i don't know if ok ang blowout nila. or if the deal with envy me is ok for 999? please share if anybody has tried this. TIA

Naghahanap kasi ako ng brazilian blowout talaga.gusto ko kasi yung walang downtime. ang init kasi ngayon e. hahaha avail sana ako nung sa index salon 1.5k/2k depende sa ml nung free shampoo and conditioner. pero nung nagtanong ako last night sa kanila if may downtime sabi nila meron daw 3 days. kaya nalilito ako. kapag nagbasa ka kasi ng mga blog/sa site mismo nung brazilian blowout wala raw down time yun e.

sis, I've tried Great Cuts Salon in Intercon Makati last 2012. The salon wasn't that fancy. I thought ma-murder yun hair ko...but I was wronged. Satisfied ako and my hair looked healthy the whole 2012. Every year nag papa treat ako ng hair, 2011 was in Basement Salon Eastwood for my permanent blowdry, super satisfied din ako. Since I am a fan of BB, I bought 3 Deal Grocer vouchers for LPK Salon this 2013 and we used it last summer.Sorry to say, bagsak sila sa akin. After the treatment mabigat sa pakiramdam yun buhok, plus hindi pwede mag wash for two days ata. Sa greatcuts and Basement tom pwede mo na paliguab hair mo..at magaan sa buhok. Yun sa LPK Wala pa one month nagbuhaghag buhok namin at mas naging worst pa yun sa akin kaysa bago na treat. Over rated sila sa opinion and experience ko at ng 2 ko pang kasama. Sayang pera

Hi ladies, it's my first time to post here.
I've been planning to get Brazilian Blowout for months na. I've been reading reviews about it and marami na ring coupons online.
I was planning to get it at Envy me salon but since wala kong nakitang good reviews dun, I went to Index dasmarinas branch last sunday. Before kasi haircut and pedicure na pinapagawa ko dito. But i give it a shot since may nabasa naman akong magandang reviews about this salon regarding BB.

Out of impulse na rin, dapat maginquire lang ako e. So ayun nga 1.5k the BB itself + 500 with maintenance shampoo and conditioner. Habang nilalagay yung gamot sa hair ko, nahapdi yung mata ko tapos parang napapaluha ako. Tolerable naman pero uncomfy siya. Then naamoy ko nga yung gamot and I'm like 99% sure that it has formaldehyde. I'm taking a medical course so I've been exposed to these kinds of chemicals. After lagyan ng gamot bnlow dry nung guy tapos pinlatsa nya. Tapos akala ko babanlawan pa, hindi na pala So umuwi ako ng sobrang lagkit ng buhok ko tapos after 3 days ko pa daw pwede basain. I can't keep up with that since marami akong lakad so I washed it the next day ( approximately 12 hours lang )

When I washed it, ok naman siya. Pero parang rebonded lang siya. super straight but not as straight as pag nirebond siya. Yung wave/bewang ko sa hair mejo kita pa. But still, I want something na more natural looking sana which is hindi ko na-achieve I don't know how long will this last. Sabi nila more or less 9 months daw and the guy called it something like Brazilian Rebond daw. And I was like o ow, mukang mali tong salon na napuntahan ko. Pero ok naman talaga siya, siguro I'll give it a 6.5/10. Medyo irritating din sa scalp. I don't think I will get this treatment again.

^^sis yung BB kasi talagang walang downtime, express blowout ang name nun dati. yung keratin meron 3 days downtime since mas matagal maglalast.

Just had my keratin treatment yesterday sa Hair Lounge (formerly LPK). Okay naman. Nakalimutan ko lang huwag magpa-bangs kasi nga T&G lang kasundo ko maglagay ng bangs. pero ok yung layers ng haircut, too short lang sa napagkasunduan namin at maid of honor pa naman ako. goodluck isa lang nagplantsa ng hair ko, before sa LPK dalawa sila tapos all in all inabot ng 3 or 3.5hrs yung process. Ngayon 2hrs lang tapos nakababad lang sa haircap yung keratin. walang heat. Tuesday ko pa mawa-wash, ang oily na niya sobra last night pa lang. Paano kaya bukas sa work, pwede kaya i-curl to or itali? Nakalimutan ko na mga do's and dont's haha

Just had this done yesterday in The Fringe Salon in Timog Ave. (kahit bagyo nag redeem ng voucher LOL )

The process took for almost 2 hours lang. Sabi walang downtime and can wash my hair agad kinabukasan
but today did not wash hair. I have yet to see the lasting effect but my hair became softer, less frizzy and bagsak hair, still wavy the way I like it. Hopefully will last longer sabi 3 months. Acai brand yung pang BB nila and
and teary eyed ako ng konti.

I had mine done yesterday at red salon (david's) in salcedo village, makati. i got a deal from metrodeal 1500.00. i was actually going for rebonding but the senior stylist said that my hair is dry (nagparebond lang kase ako 6 mos ago). lalo daw magddry pag nag parebond, so suggest nya yung BB/keratin nga. since my hair is dry okay na rin sakin pero wavy na kase yung part ng hair ko sa ear level kaya gusto ko sana rebond. i don't know how it;s gonna look like after i wash it on wednesday. i'm hoping na sana medyo ma lessen ang wave at frizziness. but i'm sure i still have to iron my hair on specific days. hay and yeah, they offered me the keratin shampoo and conditioner which cost 500 for both.
