Keratin Treatment / Brazilian Blow Out
« on: January 28, 2010, 11:59:55 am »
Hi! Meron na ba naka-try nito? It's better daw than rebond or relax for the hair. So far, Piandre pa lang ang nago-offer.

hi, i've tried this treatment and yes i think its better than rebonding. my hairdresser explain that its not really a tx to straighten the hair, what it does is it seals in the "keratin product" into the hair using a flat iron kaya mukhang rebonded yun hair. and the more damaged the hair daw mas ok yun result.  :)

Yan yung permanent blowdry diba? I posted this topic before here and marami nagdiscourage sakin, delikado daw yung chemicals, meron daw formaldehyde.

Ganun kamahal to? Starting price, P5k, grabe...pero maganda kasi mga treatments nila talaga e. Sa Piandre ang pinagagawa ko yung Kerastase Vita-Ciment yun yong for rebonded hair, maganda nga parang nare-revitalize sya and very soft to the touch

is this the same with Brazilian Keratin Treatment??? Be wary mga sis if the same treatment lang sila because it has formaldehyde na delikado sa health natin  ;)

Who else has tried this treatment? More inputs please ;D I've had my hair rebonded for several times already, and I'm not sure if it's safe to have it done again.

I wanted to try this rin but super pricey pa nya, maybe because piandre and basement pa lang nagoffer. And is it true that the effect only lasts for two months? I prefer the everyday blowdried look kase than yung rebonded super straight..

curious din ako dito, pero nakaka-turn off nga yung price nya.
tapos kailangan pa daw gumamit ng special shampoo na mahal din. :(

hi sisses, i tried permanent blow dry of basement salon in powerplant last october 2009. yes, PRICEY siya...may bill was 14k, (haircut, hair color - 2800, salt/sulfate-free shampoo - 1800, permanent blow dry - 3 inches below shoulder ang length) i need to color my hair daw para mas maabsorb ng hair ko yung gamot.

PROS:
very soft and shiny hair
you can wash your hair the next day
ponytail allowed

CONS:
- though the hair stylist assured me that the product is formaldehyde free, i doubt it coz the product really hurt my eyes, sobrang hirap dumilat nung time na gingawa yung procedure and masakit din sa ilong yung amoy ng chemicals
- you cannot shampoo your hair every day dahil mas mabilis daw matatanggal yung gamot if washed every day, in my case, nag shampoo parin ako araw araw kaya siguro mabilis nawala yung shine ng hair ko, after 4mos, i'm back to using hair iron every day
- super pricey, i never imagined that i will spend such a huge amount for my hair, max ko lang is 10k before and i said to myself na ndi na ko gagastos ng ganun kalaki...just got really curious with this method dahil madalas ko nababasa sa magazines
- during the procedure, may part dun na kailangan may exhaust fan habang ina-iron yung buhok, para hindi daw ma inhale, for safety purposes daw...just to be sure lang, so that means hindi 100% safe yung product? that made me think, kung babalik pa ako or hindi, although the result was really really nice... i cannot sacrifice my health for it, to think na nagbabayad pa ko ng malaki

the sytlist told me that some clients do it every 2mos, safe naman daw... i don't think so, mukang may health risks talaga if done regularly,.

hope this helps   ;)

Hi!  I've also wanted to try this.  I saw this link on Piandre's website from someone who has already tried it, http://chuvaness.livejournal.com/790048.html.  You can also email Piandre (piandresalon@gmail.com) and Andrea Zulueta will answer any questions that you may have.  So far I think it's worth the price if you have been rebonding your hair for years like I have.  I will post more when I've actually had the treatment done.  I'm not sure of the price as well, depends on length and texture of hair as well.  Wish me luck nalang!  :-)

Ang pricey naman ng mga hair treatments ngayon... I think I'd prefer to just take good care of my hair at home. Hehe. I'm trying to stay away from too much chemicals. They can't be good for the health... hehe...

i had mine done at basement shang. 12k plus naman akin. expensive talaga yoko na hahaha! 9500 for the treatment (my hair is 3 or so inches below the shoulder), 1k+ for the shampoo and 1k+ also for the haircut. for 1 month, talagang ganda ng hair. if you have wavy hair like me, 2months lang di na masyado ok. i mean, slowly naman pagbalik niya sa original state ng hair but now at 2months, di pa siya fully wavy but awkward na. thinking of having volume rebonding nalang. and also, i do think it's hazardous to health nga. just my thought.  :)
