hi mga sis, is it true na 3months bago makakuha ng NSO copy.  Kasi need namin nito para makakuha na ng passport si baby.  Meron kami Certified true copy pero galing lang sa civil registrar di ba pwede ito sa passport requiremetns? TIA

Hindi ko na maalala masyado pero ginawa ko rin to para sa baby ko.  Parang pina-authenticate ko ata yung certified true copy sa City Hall since matagal pa yung NSO at kailangan na naming mag-apply ng passport.  Yung authenticated copy ang sinubmit namin sa DFA para sa passport application.  Better check with City Hall or DFA to be sure.

hi, question lang po. i gave birth last july 9 then nakuha iyong certified true copy from the hospital last july 22. if monday ko dadalhin sa city hall ng marikina (i gave birth kasi at marikina valley med center), how many months ko makukuha iyong NSO birth certificate? i'm worried lang kasi i have a lot of documents to process for baby like passport, health card, etc. TIA!

Thanks sis, kasi nakalagay sa site ng DFA na pwede yung CTC ng birth certificate pero dapat nga authenticated pa din ng NSO don sa muninsipyo. Try namin magtanong, ang tagal kasi ng NSO copy eh sa Sept. 1 na yung appointment ni baby for her passport.

Si hospital ang nag-issue ng certified true copy? From what I know ang munisipyo ang nag-I-issue non. cause I was required to get a certifiedtru copy by my office before and I was told by the hospital to get it from QC city hall

Usually the process is like this: upon giving birth, you'll be asked by the hospital to furnish a form. Then they'll forward the birth certificate sa munisipyo. From the munisipyo, you can get the certified true copy of the birth certificate.

Now if you need the NSO certified, it will depend on how long before the munisipyo forwards the birth certificate to the regional office then from regional office to the main office. Like for the case of QC, their SOP (ata) is to send a batch every month. But there are instances when they get a deluge of forms,
they submit it to NSO as early as 2 weeks. Ask marikina city hall if na-forward na nila yung birth
certificate sa NSO

Pagdating sa NSO, they'll forward it to the Archives. There they will digitize the birth certificate. This is the reason why if you go to NSO or order online, sometimes you a "no hit" status. This means either a) di pa na forward sa NSO or b) it's with NSO already but not yet digitized. Now if you desperately need the birth certificate printed on a SEPAC but the birth certificate if not yet digitized, you can go to the archives and request to rush it. usually in a day you can already get the copy (but mind you it's a loooong wait).

Mommies, a word of advice, make sure that your baby's birth certificates are error free. With my daughter's birth certificate,my husband did not check properly the type written form so he didn't notice that our day of marriage was incorrect. Though this is minor, we were worrying na magka-problema kami with registering my daughter's birth with my husband's embassy. Ayun hinabol namin sa munisipyo then eventually sa NSO.we were told that once the certificate is digitized already you can no longer make any changes.

Yes. Super daming Tao. Be there early. I remember we got there at 730am and the line is huge. Once they opened mabilis naman. I just don't know how fast they can release the papers cause we didn't reach that point anymore and was referred to go straight to the Archives

we get our nso's online price differences i think ranges from 30-40 pesos lang. We ordered 2 copies for the three of us, dineliver after three days kesa pipilia pa kami pagod ka pa. pamasahe mo pa. pindot pindot lang bilis lang then bayad sa BDO.

question lang... i gave birth here in UAE so yung birth certificate is from here na din, problem is, malai pala yung nailagay ko name dun.. i put my married name instead of maiden name.. pano ko kaya papaaayos un? or is it a big deal ba? thanks

^mahirap if there are wrong entries in your birth certificate. For us ang mali sa birth certificate ng daughter ko was the date of our wedding (instead na 26, 27 ang nakalagay). Since we had to process my daughter's dual citizenship (my husband is foreigner), we made sure that mistake was rectified. We were afraid that it may raise some issues lalo na if they cross reference my daughter's birth certificate with our marriage certificate.

^sorry I don't know what's the process if abroad. I'm based in MNL so we fixed everything locally. We were directed to go to the NSO archives to fix it. Good thing Hindi pa naka-digitize yung birth certificate ng daughter ko at that time. From what i remember, according to a personnel there if naka-digitize na, it will be a longer process (i.e. you'll have to go thru the court to have it rectified). I know someone na sa birth certificate niya nakalagay male, eh girl siya. When she was about to get married dun lang niya naisipan ayusin. It was a long (and expensive) process to correct it.

Better ask your embassy (or whoever issued the birth certificate) on what to do and what are repurcussions if you leave it as is.

sis question, hindi kasi kami kasal ng dad ng baby ko so kelanagan kami mag asikaso nung birth certificate nya, question, ilang araw ba pwede pa sya since gagamitin namin surname ng dad nya?wala ba expiration date yun?kasi hindi pa ako masydo maka galaw kasi cs ako tapos holiday pa next week

Depends on how many copies you need. Online it's Php 315 per copy. If you get it from NSO, around Php 150 per copy. If you'll just get 1 copy ok Lang if online. But like me, I like to get multiple copies, it's cost effective to get it straight from NSO. Kasi if online, they'll charge you Php 315 each copy isahang delivery Lang naman.

share ko lang. since hindi kami kasal ng ama ng baby ko, kami pinag asikaso ng [textspeak!] sa munisipyo. kelangan mag pa notaryo, sedula dahil late registration, medical certificate at barangay clearance.

Does anyone have experience with getting a birth certificate from Taguig? Or expediting the NSO encoding process?

I'm giving birth in May 2012 St.Lukes Global and we need the NSO birth certificate asap. It takes up to 3 months but we can't wait that long.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

@ryn11 - you the birth cert right away for what purpose? passport/visa application? if you really need the NSO copy it will take you 2-3mos or sometimes even longer..But if you only need the doc for passport/visa they honor even the certified true copy in NSO paper you can request it from cityhall that's what I was told before when i applied for my baby's passport/visa, they knew that it will take long for NSO to release it.
