Kawawa mga engineers dito sa pinas. Sobrang kawawa sila. Kaya habang maaga mag shift sa it. Sobrang degrading ang mga engineers dito. Kawawa talaga mga pinoy.

^ bakit naman? nag apply ako sa SG before.. buti hindi ko agad na-grab.. yung sweldo ko ngayon same lang ng offer nila.. at least dito, kasama ko na family.. kung ibang bansa pa, home sick pa ako..

parang somehow its true. may h2b is an EE sa dami ng work nya parang I think he still not properly compensated, buti na lang na he loves his job kaya andun pa din sya.

Hmmm, hindi naman siguro lahat.  May mga engineering companies na mataas magbigay ng salaries (Fluor Daniel for example) pero syempre like all fields, kelangan pag engineer magsimula sa baba, and magipon ng experience para may pang leverage when salary negotiations come.  Sa Design Engineering field, I think mataas naman ang bigayan sa Pinas basta meron ka nang experience.

^i agree with you sis. and ang maganda pa if dito ka sa Pinas nagwowork as an engineer, you can accept sidelines like for me working in gov't. as an engineer maliit talaga ang salary sa gov't. so i'm doing sidelines na di naman nakakaaffect sa work ko. After office hours or during weekends i can do some extra work, sayang din additional income...

^haha ginawa ko rin yan Nung Bata pa ako :-) kasi naman yung sahod ko nun 7.5k tapos may tax pa(10 years ago). Masaya magsideline hehe kasi ilang Oras Lang naman pero mas malaki pa ang rate kesa normal work hehe!
 Ang tingin ko kasi, sa engineering, gaya ng pagdodoctorvor iba pang propesyon, kelangan hanapin mo Saan ka bagay kasi pwede sales, design, planta, support. Then kung Saan ka mas effective yun ang careerin mo kahit na mas mababa~ kasi Kung Linya mo at enjoy ka sa line Ng engineering na tinatahak mo magsha-shine at magsha-shine ka and may darating at darating na opportunities for you to grow~ based laang yan sa experience ko naman :-)

CE, working dito sa Pinas.
Good pay, travels to Tokyo or site every two months (two weeks only, then back to Pinas again)
Mom to a two year old boy, wife to an EE.
so far so good.
