Hi mga sis! Ako naman 3rd year ECE student pa lang pero I dunno, parang hindi ako para sa ECE.  Hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin ma-grasp mga basic concepts ng electronics. Iniisip ko tuloy mag-shift na lang sa IE. Kaso wala naman ako ideas sa career path ng mga Industrial engineers. Could you please enlighten me? I'd really appreciate it.  TIA!

^ Hi there. ECE ako and when I was in third year in college, para akong sisiw. WAlang ka alam2 sa electronics. Haha. But now, I'm working as a test engr. Taga gawa ng test prog/software para i test mga ic's. Mapapaisip ka talaga sa trabaho natin, Kalli. Masakit sa ulo. I'm not really familiar with IE careers.

^ so may pag-asa pa po ako? LOL  . Nag-stop kasi ako ng isang sem kaya yung tinake ko yung electronics 1, petition class. Kasabay ko yung mga nag-take 2. Eh yung prof ko, bukod sa hindi magaling, mabilis pa magturo kasi iniisip nya siguro lahat makakasabay na sa tinuturo nya. Kaya hindi talaga maayos yung basic knowledge ko sa ECE eh.

hello i saw this thread and made me curious .


2007 IE grad here. first year nagwork ako sa concepcion carrier sa laguna it was fun pero mababa ang sweldo. Then i shift career and end up with IT world. 3yrs ako sa accenture as software engineer. Then i resigned now im in malaysia as programmer pa din. not bad  mga sis

anyway if you have friends who have 2yrs++ exp in cobol/mainframe developers/as400/rpg/java and wants to work here in malaysia i can give them a hand naghahanap kasi yung employer namin ngaun ng mga programmers

sis world of IE kahit san pwede kang mapasok so don't worry mas malaki ang chance ng mga IE engineers kahit sang field. at isa pa lakas lang ng loob yan kahit anong course ka pa.

@Kalli27: Lol, um, if you think you'll not enjoy life as an ECE, then don't pursue it. When I was in third year, my electronics understanding was a haze. Our teacher well, was not that good. But when I reached fourth year, I've learned to appreciate electronics because my professor was good in teaching us the theories.

I tell you the life of a test engineer is not a fabulous one. And I told myself na I want a job that would allow me to socialize, wear high heels, use make up and the likes. But nah. It's okay though, I dress up on Sundays, when I go to hear mass.

^you're right ate. Kung itutuloy ko pa, siguro maipapasa ko yung mga subjects pero hanggang dun na lang. puro pasang-awa. Hindi ko na rin kasi nakikita sarili ko na mag-eexcel sa field ng ECE.  Subukan ko na siguro yung IE.

Ganyan din gusto ko job!  hmmm... another reason not to pursue ECE. hehe

Hi mga sis, IE here. currently, on my 5th job (and hopefully my last!). No regrets when I shifted from CE to IE on my third year of college. Wala kasi ako imagination sa mga drawings. Now, Im happy with my career and I know I made the right choice.
