Hi sis ooh lala, currently nasa 4th grade yung anak ko with VCIS. Sobrang happy siya. I am a work at home mom, it also works for me kasi yung videos are helpful for them kapag may work ako. I got a teachers edition sa mga second hand homeschool shops (meron Homeschoolers in the Philippines FB group). Malaking tulong yun kasi medyo advance topics na din ang grade 4. Next year, may 18k/year tuition + books na kami kasi tapos na yung 1 year scholarship. Nevertheless, mura pa din and better quality than in private school.

Super enjoy ang anak ko. Sabi niya, he loves it more than regular school kasi he doesn't just copy the notes but actually, learns so much. Yung quarterly exam are done online. Very good quality education. Pero, nakukulangan lang ako so, I add Charlotte Mason curriculum like literature, nature study and yung history namin focuses on Philippine heroes and their lives on top of the social studies ng VCIS. Over all, we are very happy.

Hi sissies.. pa join dito.. i'm planning to homeschool my 2kids starting december. Ipupullout ko sila sa school na currently enrolled sila kasi binubully anak ko and walang ginagawa school about it. In short "favorite" nila yung bully. Sayang nga kasi mukhang wala akong marerefund, nagbayad pa naman kami ng full amount ng tuition. Pero safety kasi ng kids ko iniisip ko kaya i decided na mas better na homeschool ko sila. I'm a housewife naman kaya matututukan ko talaga sila. I will attend Homeschool global's orientation on nov.11. Homeschool global is formerly known as TMA. Sa pagbackread ko, many said na matagal sila magreply, i think they improved na. I inquired siguro mga 10am nagreply sila within 30 minutes. Then may mga follow up questions ako, tapos i received a reply agad. I also considered Victory, kaya lang i have to wait 3months daw for the books to arrive. Kaya madedelay kids ko ng ilang months. By february pa sila makaka start ng 3rd quarter. Unlike sa Homeschool global, they can start 3rd quarter on december. Kaya i think i will stick to Homeschool global.

My kids are excited na to have me as their teacher. Excited narin sila magdecorate ng magiging classroom nila. I hope i can do this.

mommies, may upcoming Homeschooling Conference this coming Oct 22 at SM Aura in Taguig.
Admission is P1000. I attended last year and marami ding na meet na existing practitioners. I highly encourage attending this if you are considering this option as this only happens once a year. You can search it in FB. Philippine Homeschooling Conference 2016.

Hello sisses! Im planning to homeschool my incoming grade 1 kid because we're planning to stay in China for 1year only..Im torn between Peniel and VCIS dahil sila yun cheapest at mas flexible ang system (based sa mga nasaba ko dito at blogs)..umatend ako last year ng orientation sa TMA sa may ortigas. Hindi ko masyado nagustuhan dahil required na magpunta doon monthly or weekly bukod sa may kamahalan ang TF at books (45k sila last year + 15k books).

Ano sis ang marerekomenda nyo?
TIA!

^sis, you can try International British Academy. They're very flexible and DepEd-accredited too. Total cost is around P30K including books. It's located in Cavite but everything can be done online naman.

I've attended the orientation of Catholic Filipino Academy and for me it is one of the Best Homeschooling that is recommended. Teaching you practical ways in education tapos they recommend that teaching 1 to 2 hours is long already for kids.

I felt bad when I heard other parents na 1 reason for them to home school their kids it is because they already want to prevent from bullying.  :( In which I am wondering of how come there are schools who are not taking this seriously but there is already law regarding this.

Hello,

I'm looking for options regarding homeschooling for a first year high school student. Pwede ba ito kahit na out of the country yung daughter ko?

Thank you

https://usa.inquirer.net/28873/home-schooling-gaining-ground-among-filipino-families

"It doesn't take a master's or doctoral degree to be a home school teacher; but it does take a lot of dedication and interest in research, Donna explained.  "Actors, athletes, children of business people and diplomats who have to travel a lot, do it and there are no constraints to their learning and pursuing further studies later in colleges and universities."

The home school child is allowed to focus on a field of specialty like math or science, music, among others, and the parent-teacher follows a specific curriculum for their fields of interest." "

https://www.smartparenting.com.ph/parenting/big-kids/homeschooling-top-universities-a1162-20170722

During a TEDx event held in Hong Kong three years ago, homeschooling dad Joshua Steimle named some of the world's top universities that accept homeschooled applicants with open arms, such as the likes of Oxford, Princeton, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard.

"These schools not only are saying that they accept homeschoolers, Harvard said it's actually an asset that they consider favorably," said Steimle. He quoted the university's website, "Homeschooling is an educational asset that Harvard considers favorably when making admissions, decisions."

Other famous people who were homeschooled include Albert Einstein, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and 14 other US presidents, Thomas Edison and Charles Dickens. The founders of New York Times, Honda and KFC were also homeschooled. "
