After failed relationships with Filipino men, I've tried online dating, met an Australian guy there, talked for a few months, and now he's my fiance. He will be here by July and who knows, if we're really meant for each other, we may get married this year. So fast yet I feel that this is it. LOL. God bless us all in our relationship with Foreign men and also to those who has Pinoy men. ☺

wow I never realized sikat pa pala ang online dating. Hindi ba risky? :(

I also want to try dating foreign guys. Sa online lang ba?

My friend once told me we should try dating "AFAMs" ( A Foreigner Assigned in Manila, I think)

Any experience dating AFAMS?

Be careful with the AFAMS . We have 2 expats in our company ( both Americans, pero one is pure american while the other may chinese blood) ). I discovered that they are just users . Close kasi sa akin yung may chinese blood and sobrang madaldal. Ibinuking nya na kaya nag g GF ng Pinay si  Kano eh para may libreng maid and s3x .Nakikipag live in sila pero kapag nagsawa na babu na agad at papalit palit talaga , so walang emotional involvement.

At mind you,  both of them are in their 50's na tapos they are dating young girls at target  nila yung mga crew ng fast food at starbucks .  The reason daw is madaling mabola. Probably they promise to marry them and bring them in the US.

^ told the same thing to my friend who suggested eh. Andami ko nakikitang middle aged AFAMS with younger Filipinas. I've always wondered if they're relationship is real or not. Then again, I'm not to judge.

it kind of bothers me that people think that. personalities aren't based on nationalities or races, and "cultural differences" at this day and age arent that vast, if at all.

i'm Filipina and i don't think i fall under the "caring and loving" kind. i'm more of the aloof no PDA type of person, and he's the nice, touchy, caring one. it made me uncomfortable, but whatever. you just learn to find your middle ground like any other relationship.

Actually meron cultural differences. Kaya nga pinag aaralan yan. Of course depende din sa environment nung individual, im sure you would have turned out different had you been born in a different family, different schooling, stimuli, exposure to media, religion etc etc. euthenics vs eugenics.  Even friends nga in a multicultural environment talk about how things are in their respective cultures. Asians share more than caucasians. But nagclaclash din minsan. Even whites see it. I disagree. I think u just see yourself in others

I've dated someone before na half Egyptian and half American.

kaso hindi kumain dito. kasi he specifically said that he doesn't like the food and will order takeaway instead.

so turn off sa mama ko.

^^^ I don't think that's culturally related. I know quite a bit of Egyptian Americans who are quite respectful. So I think that dude's just a douche.

Just share my experience lang baka mapahaba hahaha

I always follow my instinct kahit sa online ko pa ma meet i have this feelinif ok o mpagkakatiwalaan si guy o hindi. Saka ang gusto ko same or close age ko lang.
1st date experience ko with a foreigner India ang gwapo ang tangkad  ;D businessman, solong anak. Gusto nya ako sinasabi nya yun kasi lagi sya busy at walang time. He asking for marriage then after a year

What i like about him:
gentleman as in to the point na parang nakakainis hahaha

Demanding
Dominant masyado ang gusto submessive type ako
Walang time

Almost same experience. I am currently in an LDR with an Indian guy. Matangkad, gwapo. I met him in Kuala Lumpur during my vacation. Seryoso sa work, one thing I appreciate. As in he wouldn't ditch his shift, even for me, which is fine. Kasi dati may naging bf ako na nagsasacrifice ng work just to be with me. Ayoko ng ganun. He must be able to juggle between work and relationship and time. Expressive naman sya with his feelings, he tells me he loves and misses me, and that he is serious and wants me to be his last love and all. Pero syempre, no matter how those words make me happy, medyo cynical pa din ako unless he proves it. Di pa naman ganun kalalim ang relationship since we are just starting out tapos LDR pa. And isa pang issue may language barrier kasi he doesn't speak English well, although I can adjust and teach him naman.

And like you, sis, I don't like his being dominant. Not sure if it is with the culture, this is my first time, or sya lang talaga yun. May times na he feels I don't respect him when I constantly say 'no' on some things he wants. Then I just had to explain that I wasn't being disrespectful, I was just stating a point, like he was. I know there will be more major adjustments along the way with culture differences, not to mention LDR pa. So I am still winging it at the moment. In a couple of days, I'm flying back to Malaysia to tour the outskirts of KL. I may be spending a day or 2 with him, so dun ko siguro malalaman if I can still go on with our relationship.

Try to read blog english indian relationship and madhamama about indian husband ang mga yan marami ka matutunan dyan yun mga napapansin mo kay indian bf kahit papano masasabi mo ganun nga sila in terms of ugali. As of now stop na ako sa ganyan im already married na  ;) Pero hindi Indian after him napaisip ko hindi ko kaya ang cultures ng India.

^Talaga sis? Naku. Hahaha! Nung andun kasi ako last time, we held hands pero patago. Haha. Tapos ayun nga, papunta ulit ako this weekend. Sabi nya he misses me so much na baka daw sa airport pa lang ma-hug and kiss na nya ko.

Sabi nya no daw.

I say andun ako sa let's wait and see, come what may kind of thing.

^ sis pumpkin! You're back!

Are you sure he is Indian? Kasi I haven't met an Indian (girl or guy) na hindi masyado marunong mag English. Almost all of them nakapagtapos ng university, and karamihan pa pursues MBA.

Regarding their food, do you eat spicy? Go for their prata, briyani mutton. Masarap din veggies nila. Pero wait, is he Hindu?

Oo nga Hindu or muslim or catholic ba sya?
