Indian weddings are the most colorful. Do Indians require their partners to convert to Hinduism?

Ganyan talaga ang mga foreigners, halos karamihan. I was minding my own business one day, busy eating my gelato while walking down the shopping center of Miami then may nasalubong akong guy and nagtitigan kami for about 10 seconds. I kept walking but I turned around to check him out again, then nasa likod ko na pala sya and introduced himself and asked me if I wanna join their party later. Of course I said yes. I've met guys before in random places, train stations, elevators, subway etc, and I find foreign guys easy to converse with because they are not like Filipinos na itatry to impress ka.

Subscribing..

I currently joined a online dating site..  Its not really something I usually do, for me kasi iba pa rin yung personal di ba pero its an option that I want to explore.

Sa mga sis here na may exp with arab/emirati men, how was it? any tips that you can share? thanks   :)

bawat lahi talaga may iilan na mapupuno sa sarili nilang lahi up to the point na marami na silang, sorta, negative nasasabi. kesa ganito daw ganyan ganun. natural, hahanap sila sa ibang lahi.

and they try to mix up. heheh lagi naman may plus and cons. no perfect race....

Not all Indians are Hindi. There are Muslims as well as Catholics too.

I'm sorry, I just don't trust dating men na walang may kilala na kilala mo. Alam mo naman ang mundo these days.

Arab - Muslim? Hindi ako masyado open sa ibang religion especially Muslim kasi karamihan (not all din naman) are very religous. So if you are thinking long term, natatakot ako magconvert, tapos magsuot na lagi akong nakabalot. Di ko iyan ma imagine.

Somehow kasi sa Middle east iba parin tingin nila sa babae. Parang gamit at possession at hindi nila kapantay. May tao ako from Middle east before, ang hirap kausap simply because I am female.  Though again, hindi lahat. In general lang naman. Nasa sa guy mo parin naman iyan.

Agree with Muslim men who are Arabs (most of them). I'd prefer an Israeli or Turkish guy anytime.

I had an Arab ex sis. I say go for it if's just alright with you to convert, be a plain housewife and dress very very modestly. Eto yung mga reasons why I didn't agree to marry my ex. I work in an Arab country and the way they treat their females is very different talaga. But if you still want to pursue it, it's up to you. Just show him you're worthy of respect, don't be so liberated kumbaga.

^ Yeah, most Arabs expect their wives to be submissive, modest and conservative. However, I have a Tita who is married to an Iranian, but when my half-Iranian cousins are in the Philippines, they could actually express themselves by wearing sexy dresses (pero wholesome parin).

My ex claimed he liked me because I'm different from the women he knows.  I'm not the submissive type. I'm very assertive and outspoken, and I tell him point-blankly if there's something I don't agree with. But at the end of the day, he still wanted me to convert to his religion, and take note, he didn't give me a choice.  >:( Masyado din siya jealous, like I can't laugh with male friends kahit friend din naman niya yun. It was hard for me kasi naattach na din ako sa kanya pero kung di pa man kami kasal eh sinasakal na niya ako, what more pag married na kami?

Hi mga sis!
I just want to get an insight about American guys.
Anybody who dated one na? And lived there?
Because ive been talking to this guy online , on and off for 4 years already. We were open about liking each other ever since we started talking way back 2009 but never really pursue it because he was still in college that time and me, well I am here in the Philippines. We use to always talk via skype. Then we stopped talking like 2 years ago for some reason i can no longer remember. I think we both got busy and he said he think he may had a gf back then. Recently, he contacted me again and we talked over the phone for hours. It was really nice. It was like nothing changed. And now he confessed that he is inlove with me and that he would help in any way just so that I could migrate to US. He wanted to pay for my Visa and passport application but I declined and I told him that I want to manage those on my own. He wants to pay for my ticket to go there. He pretty much explained to me that he can  provide to me and can work in the same company he is in because of my job experiences , showed me his apartment, his car. He wanted to let me know daw na when i get there, hell take care of me. It's really crazy. To the point na, right now I think why not give this guy a try as he is really persistent. Pero siyempre nakakatakot parin don mga sis. But i think i am falling for him too. And now i find myself on the US embassy site for a visa application... Hahahaha

^sis, try natin himayin your questions and I will answer with as much realism as I can:

And now he confessed that he is inlove with me and that he would help in any way just so that I could migrate to US. He wanted to pay for my Visa and passport application but I declined and I told him that I want to manage those on my own. He wants to pay for my ticket to go there.

sis, parang malabo na out of the blue, he talked to you for this long and then suddenly realized that he is inlove with you. love is too strong a word for me to use kasi given your situation. double-check mo din, wag ka lang magdalawang-isip, damihan mo pa! Also, what kind of VISA? the only possible VISA that you can get at this time is a tourist VISA and it will be very very very difficult to secure one,  but not impossible.

Unless he is a stakeholder sa company, and your skills/experiences are not available to anybody else here in the US, that chance for you to work there is slim. Also, if you are on a tourist VISA, you can't work. If you are on a fiancee visa, you can't also work. If you have a spouse VISA and have been given a permit to work/GC/EA, then pwede. Fiancee VISA is possible if he will visit u, or u guys have at least seen in each other in the flesh.

Suggestion ko lang sis, why not tell him to come visit you? Then see for yourself. Play it safe. It is nice and really good if what you two have is genuine love, pero there's more to it sis. That's the best suggestion I can give you, have him visit you. Madali sabihin na he can support you and all, pero unless gawin niya talaga eh we'll never know. Madami akong acquaintances dito na na-carried away din sa same promises only to end up miserable. Mahirap daw pala life dito, dami expenses, hirap daw pala hanap ng work sa chosen career nila, etc etc.

Aww thank you so much sis! Were still talking... Yeah love is a very big thing. Its a big thing for me too... So we just keep on talking right now... I guess, what happened is, hes really clueless pala! He thought its easy to just go inside America and start working there. And then we started researching about the visa options, and ayun nga nakita namin yun about sa fiance visa. Sabi niya, hes fine with that daw pero given what u just told me na we need to see each other pala before u can have one, then id definitely tell him na he should be the one visiting me. Id tell him today and see how it goes. Thank you sis. Appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. Are u married to an American?

It's really more practical for him to visit you here first.  Unless,  you can easily get there on a tourist visa and have family near his area to bail you out in case he turns out to be a creep.

Be realistic with your expectations, because things may not be as nice when you're actually together na.

In the meantime,  enjoy what you guys have right now :)

pasali haha I have a Brit boyfriend and we are dating for over 4 years now , LDR kami btw napansin ko lang na they are very much open minded, mas racist pa nga ako actually haha and sweet talker tho it will take time for them to say the magic words first but once sinabi na nila yon sayo grabe kilig! but one thing na notice ko, they are very devoted sa work nila, to the point na you will feel neglected pag nagtatrabaho sila, tapos they will tell u kung ano mali mo without any hesitation kaya minsan nakakainis yung pagiging blunt nila but all in all I love him to bits aside from the sexy accent niloloko sya ng mga friends ko na doppelganger ni Klaus ng vampire diaries (proud lang)

Thanks for all your advises girls! I really am learning! I've just had a failed online dating experience. He is American. Everything was going so well until he said that I was playing around (he meant to say "double talk/being so like back and fourth) Wasn't even aware that it's like I was playing around. Everything was new to me. Last bf ko was 7 years ago pa. I was bisex and decided to become straight again July this year. Your advises are really helpful. Again, Thank you!!!!  :)

I've learned that you have to learn what their culture is. How dating works for them. And vice-versa. Do not talk about the relationship or what your status is more often and just get to know him and go with the flow.

Hapon boyfriend ko. Hmm what can i say... Well i guess sa experience ko they're not expressive lalo na in public. When we went out on dates, swerte na holding hands and i felt a bit ignored lol maybe because sa kanila rin kasi hindi masyado open sa pda. But when it's just the two of us nalang, he's very very sweet. It's like being with a different person which i kinda like since i'm the only one who gets to see this side of him. Kasi he's kinda cold pero deep inside, he's really sweet. When i asked why, he said he was embarrassed sa public places lol.he's also very openminded. He respects my beliefs and my decisions. I'm not sure if halos lahat ng jap ganun but my friend, who's in a relationship with one for almost 3 years,  did tell me na mostly ganun ugali nila pero asahan daw na faithful sila.
