sisses, curious lang ako.... nasa culture ba ng mga europeans ang panliligaw? if yes, how do they do it? i mean... typical panliligaw ba like ng sa ating mga pinoy?  if no, pano nasasabing mag-bf/gf na ang couple? :D

i'm currently going out with a foreigner right now. He is half brit and half arab; He is younger than me by 4 years. I have so much fun dating him. He is so cool and fun to be with; Straightforward kaya madaling kausap. But yung nga di maiwasan ang mga cultural & religion differences.

^^^ @onefineapril: My boyfriend is Ukrainian/Russian and we didn't really go through a courting phase. It may because I've been in the U.S. for 20 years and he assumed that no courting will be necessary (I'm not too fond of this protocol anyway). However, I've talked to him about this notion of courting and it seems foreign to him so perhaps it doesn't exist in their culture. I know quite a bit of Eastern Europeans and none of them have ever gone through this phase.

^thanks, sis! so... pano naging kayo? i mean... one day.. nagsabi na lang kayo sa isa't isa na "from now on... you're my gf and i'm your bf"?

yung latest kasing dinate ko, he asked me out.... he once told me he missed me.... he's asking me out again pagbalik nya from an out-of-town trip... pero wala naman syang namemention na he likes me... so hindi ko mawari kung style ba nya yun to get to know me better o gusto lang nya ng company sa katauhan ko hehe.....

^ if he's not saying anything about liking you or wanting to be with you.. then  dont be prowl on this mixed signal just try to be cool and maybe you could tell him the notion of courting or how it is in here like what sis june have mention in here. so he could have an idea baka kasi hindi niya alam that there's courting existing dito sa atin hehe

@onefineapril: My bf and I kissed on our first date :) So I guess that counts for us liking each other from the start. We had already known each other for awhile prior to that. We didn't really have a clear conversation that we were an item...at some point it was just understood because of our closeness, how much time we spent together and the type of conversations we were having. We just enjoyed each other so much we worried not about these trivial titles. Eventually we just progressed to what we are now :) It was just natural for us.

Like what kittypowerranger said, I would advise against too much pressure on yourself or on him about these matters. If it happens, it happens. If not, then move on.

:) Just enjoy. Dating a foreigner is not rocket science. It's just about being yourself, having fun with your company, your sexuality and yourself :)

tama yun sabi ni sis june, same thing happen to me, wala ding courtship  or a clear conversation about us, basta nagkakaintindihan kami and compatible kami sa lahat ng bagay just go wiht the flow kasi pag di nyo naman like isa't isa di na yun masundan pa but he told me i love you i like you then yun na tuloy tuloy na di kasi tulad ng pinoy na need pa ng courtship ek ek observation ko lang ha.  basta enjoy each moment then pag nagpropose sayo yun na yun na for real talaga

Agrees with what junetwentythree said, it's not rocket science. It's best to be yourself.

My boyfriend of 9 months is French and while there really are cultural differences & we respect/acknowledge them but we take them lightly para no drama!

my friend is dating a Portuguese. She said they have qualities like Filipinos. Sweet and thoughtful. Most of them are Christians, so i think that explains it a little.

how is it going sis?

^95% of the time we split the tab for dates. The other 5% sometimes he pays for everything or I pay for everything.  I like it this way :D

When we first started dating, he picked up the tab for the most part. But I wasn't having it, so I insisted on paying sometimes. Nowadays we just take turns paying...like if he picked up the dinner, I'll pay for the movie or something like that.
