Physical Books - as posted previously wala akong masyadong books, I think I have around 40 back home sa Pinas. But not sure if ok pa ang condition nila. Been moving a lot kase before.  Most of them are Psychology Textbooks, and a few Fiction books that was given to me or bought from Booksale.

the ones with me now ay less than 20 siguro:

YA Books (5-6)
Self Help Books / Inspirational (5)
Cook books (2)
Fiction (6)

Ebooks - I think I have more than 500 in my kindle.

1. most of them are YA haha! Addict na talaga ako sa YA ngayon.
2. Chic Lit
3. Fiction - Medicine-Related-Thriller (Ala Robin Cook); Romance-Thriller (Mary Higgins Clark); Courtroom Drama-Thriller (John Grisham) - These books I've read when I was in Highschool and College. I want to reread some of them but I don't have the time kase ang daming YA books na gusto kong basahin

I own less than a hundred at this moment. I do borrow books, and I also lend (a.k.a. Give away na never to return :P ) and Officially give them away too, sometimes. Haha

I have lost my interest in novels throughout my college years and am just slowly regaining my interest, thankfully. My taste has also totally changed. Well not totally but I'm more picky now as my selections widen and as I slowly run out of time.

I used to devour Coelho books like he would never write again, but now I didn't even know he had a new book released. Used to grimace at the sight of Umberto Eco and Salman Rushdie, but have now found the courage to dibe into their complexities. They do take longer to read and absorb though. I also used to prefer Meg Cabot over someone like R.R. Tolkien before, but I am ashamed to admit this now. :P
Now, mostly, philosophy books got the best of me.

Sinusubukan ko bumalik sa novels to relax, though. Gusto ko mag venture more into sci-fi and fantasy ngayon.

Used to read a lot of fiction when I was younger, so most of my physical books are of that genre. In my mid-twenties I bought more of travel & food literature. My bookshelf is mostly for display now.

This might sound terribly corny, but finally purchasing an ebook reader changed my life haha, so much that I have separation anxiety with it even if I'll be away for a couple of hours.
I have close to 600 lovingly curated books in my e-library, no random stuff or trashy romances. I have been more interested in non-fiction as I grew older, specifically travel narratives, cookbooks (even if I don't really cook :P), food memoirs and food literature. I trawl the net for all the food-related books that I can find, Ruth Reichl, Grant Achatz, Jeffrey Steingarten, Molly Wizenberg, Jay Rayner, Bourdain, and the like. I hope someone else out there is like me, looking for a kindred spirit.

i wont include my academic books (puh-lease, i deal with them, awfully heavy things that they are, everyday for 2 semesters a year)  :P

basically my collection si only female-friendly dahil puro chick lits. hahaha. though i do have bdb, etc i still consider them romance kasi romance naman talaga, i mean the romance in it is what attracted me to those books. hahaha.

i also have neil gaiman of course, and hps, but those kinds of books are a minority. i really want something totally different from my academic books. i'd say my most treasured one is the compilation of arthur conan doyle's sherlock holmes, i have it in ebook though. the first time i read those books (bantam ed) eh highschool pa then after graduating i asked my sister to borrow them again when i was in college. i never get tired of reading sherlock holme's adventures.

Depends on your preferences, sis.

I have close to a thousand paperback + hardbound books. I don't usually count ebooks kasi I still prefer going oldschool. :)

ebook readers opened up my access to a lot of ebooks since everything has a free ebook copy if you'll have the patience and dedication to look for them  ;) most of my books are ebooks. and a point against the real deal is that usually they get molds/anay if they got stuck too long and then you wouldn't to touch them ever again. my encyclopedias as a child were pretty much devoured by those pest and and i could barely stand one of my favourite books of childhood (almanac of the uncanny) kasi inanay na siya  :'(

wow sis, you should have an opac or something. dami mo books. you got them all with you in your house? it's like book-gasm pala sa library niyo. :D all of them fiction/leisure reading or may mga acads din?

^ Yes, sis. Bookshelves, mini shelves everywhere: dining room, home office, home studio, guest bedroom. :) Mostly fiction. I do have several ancient civilization textbooks for consumption when I'm bored or feeling extra geeky. :) My school books I left in the Philippines. :)

Books (paperbacks, hardbound, etc...) - 700+

Law school books - 50+ ata

Audiobooks - 51

Ebooks - di ko alam pero 1.86GB lahat eh

If I have a choice, books pa rin ang gusto ko pero kasi wala na talagang space sa room ko. Nakalagay na nga yung iba sa closet ko haha Kaya eto, I resort to ebooks.

^^wow ang saya-saya pala sa bahay niyo. i want to have a house with a lot of shelves filled with books too! it says a lot about the owner of the house :)

anyway, pagdating pala sa mga academic books bumibili talaga ako kasi iba pa rin ang totoong libro. at least yun man lang gusto ko idisplay pag nakatapos na ako tapos makikita ng mga anak ko mga medbooks ko. hahaha.

I have less than 80 books on hand. I currently live overseas so i try to limit my purchases.
Most of my books are fiction and not hardbound.
Since leaving teen years, I'm not into love stories but i have the whole Twilight series -- not a proud moment there.

^ I use an ipad (ibooks) :) Hindi naman bumabagal, except if I just added books via Calibre, nagre-reload yata sya ng entire library kaya I have to wait a few seconds. It's up to 700+ books now :) I love that I can read magazines and other pdf-format books as well.
