How much does a trip to Paris cost?

^^mama squeak, so for us na non-chinese tourist, what's the limit for LV and LC? Like how many (qty) can we buy? Is the limit per passport or per store that you enter? 

^juana antonia - good to know that milan isn't too strict since we're planning to go there next year. kahit sa milan outlet sis, no limit or meron din of some sort?

^Not sure on the number of items you can buy but just to give you an idea my staff who was just there a couple of months ago was able to buy 8 LCs & 4 LVs (diff. Models) at Galeries Lafayette. Puro pabili sa kanya & di naman sya sinita.

She could have bought more at another store but wala na syang space in her luggage. So, yes you can still buy more items at a different store.

^sis, saang store yan? When I was in Paris just last October I bought 2 BVs and 1 Dior wallet, all leather items at Galeries Lafayette. Sabay-sabay ko din kinuha ng detaxe at the basement level. Wala naman silang sinabi sa akin. Then I also bought 5 pairs of Repettos (all leather) at their main store at rue de la Paix. Tuwa pa nga yung SA at dami kong binili.

Talaga sis? 6 months period? Is this per brand sis? Meaning for 1 passport, you can only buy in France, 1 LV, 1 Longchamp, 1 Chanel, etc. at a 6 month period? How did you know the rule sis - mga SA nila - as in sinasabi talaga nila when you buy from their stores?

^sis, I'm wondering about that kasi I was able to buy 2 Bottegas and a Dior wallet during my last trip there in October. Plus my staff was able to buy 4 Louis Vuittons just last March. Saan kayang store yan?

Higpit naman pala sa France, and I thought LV lang ang nagko-control dun ng goods.

^sis, I don't think so. Baka a particular store lang ganun that's why I was asking. As I've posted earlier my staff and I on different occasions were able to buy more than one item at a time. Kung gugustuhin pa nga we could have bought more at a different store.

On a different note, I'm looking forward to visiting the outlet shops in Florence. Heard they're really a bargain. Is it cheaper in Milan compared to Florence? I mean the outlet shops ha.

Never been to florence outlet stores sis kaya i can't compare. But my favorite outlet shop is not in Milan but in Switzerland --Foxtown.  It's a 2 hour bus ride from Milan, 20 euros.  For me, mas updated yung mga stocks nila dun.

store will issue me a gst refund form? is that the detaxe papers?

@foxymom - Madali lang to avail of the tax refund or detaxe. Just make sure you always have your passport with you. No passport, no detaxe papers. Yes, the store will give you the refund form or detaxe papers. Depends on the store there will be a minimum purchase to avail of the detaxe.

If you're planning to buy LV at Galeries Lafayette, hiwalay ang detaxe form nila. You can't combine it with your other purchase at that store. So if you buy LV and some other items, you will get two detaxe forms. One for your LV and another for the rest of your purchase (as long as umabot sa minimum). Their detaxe counter is at the basement. If you plan to buy naman LV at their flagship store at Avenue des Champs Elysees, ask the SA to give you a detaxe form. Make sure all your detaxe forms have been processed/stamped by the store otherwise you can't get them processed at customs before you leave the EU state.

The gst can be refunded thru cash or credit card. I always go for credit card since mas mataas ng konti ang vat refund 13-14% compared to cash na 10% (in France). I also don't have to worry queueing to get the cash refund at the airport accredited banks upon my departure. Baka maiwan pa ako ng eroplano   Yun nga lang it takes 2-3 months before the refund is credited back to my card.

On Repettos, depends on the style you want they cost from EUR80-190 a pair. The ones I bought last time were EUR130/pair. After refund they came out to 7K a pair only when they were being sold at Rustans that time for 10-12K/pair.

Kami we went there last August 2010 for 7 days. 3 days sa Paris (tour) tapos sa Versailles and Disney Paris
4 days. 4 kami (2 adults & 2 children).  We spent almost £2500 to £3000. Expensive talaga pero for
me it was worth it kasi I really wanted to go and see Paris as in!

Sis, medyo mahirap to squeeze in all those activities in 7 hours.  The Louvre itself is huge!  I suggest you take the bus tour, specifically yung Les Cars Rouges (the red one) since it only has 9 stop off points, including Louvre, Notre Dame and Eiffel tower.  I remember the entire tour only takes 2 1/2 hours if you don't get off the bus.  What you can do is, baba ka lang sa mga places you're interested in, take pictures, then sakay ulit sa bus.  It's up to you decide how much time to spend on each place.  Have fun!

Yes, there are lots of KFC's in Paris. Medyo may kamahalan lang. You're better off eating at their local version of fastfood restaurants. Just look around and observe where the locals would go for their meals.

No idea on the Disneyland fee. I would rather go to the original one in Anaheim or their larger theme parks in Orlando. If I were you skip Disneyland and concentrate on what Paris can offer. There are so many things to see and do there.

The train from CDG to Paris will cost you EUR8.50/person one way. Not sure how much from ORY to Paris. Cheaper to get the train. Even if you are four in your travelling party, it will just cost you EUR34. If you take a cab, depending on your hotel's location it will cost you a minimum of EUR50.

For your transpo needs get the Paris Visite Pass. It comes out cheaper if you will be extensively using the public transpo within Paris. Check their website at:
