^Next year spring time pa kami ni hubby, sis. Have you checked other airlines for their offers? You can also check Air Asia if you don't mind flying low cost. They have really cheap fares kaya lang they leave from Clark and via KUL. Or you can go direct to KUL with PAL or CebPac to connect to their Paris ORY (Orly) flight.

^We got good flights with Etihad for this September sis 950 USD with 1 layover only. Manila-Abu Dhabi-Paris CDG. The layover is only 3 hrs too! And I like our flight sked, we leave at 1AM Manila but arrive same day in Paris at 2pm because of the time zone differences

^That's a good deal na rin! The cheapest I saw last May promo of CX was USD650++ with taxes comes out to USD850 for travel Jun to Dec. Yun lang nga limited seats and time to purchase. 

Early to mid September's a good time to visit Paris. Weather's just right, not too cold and not too hot. The leaves are just beginning to turn kaya you get those wonderful colors. I miss Paris! Time permitting sana we can drop by next year on our way to Italy. Enjoy your trip!

^LCs are designer bags too but not too pricey. Well depends on the style you're after.

About chocolates, Valrhona and Bonnat are well known French chocolate brands. Better punta ka na lang ng department stores nila and you'll have lots of choices to choose from. And all price ranges too.

sis mama squeak, re shopping, in order to get the vat refund form i need to show my passport right? is it okay too just brig a photocopy? im afraid to bring my actual passport and loose it

^^sis, there are some shops that will not ask for your passport like the Repetto boutique but most stores will. At Galeries Lafayette, LV (main), Printemps and Bon Marche, they ask you to present your passport (no photocopy allowed) before they process your detaxe papers.

@sis mama squeak, is it true that there is already a maximum allowable quantity that you can buy in a designer store per tourist passport? what's the rule now? just heard it from a relative ...

^No, it's not really a "rule". For popular designer products like LV and LC they do limit goods sold per client para naman yung iba makabili rin. But there is an unwritten rule for Chinese tourists specially at LV and LC na one item per kind per client. At LV they are super strict pag mga Chinese tourists na ang bibili kasi they are known to manufacture fake goods di ba. So don't be surprised if a Chinese person will approach you near an LV store to offer you money to buy them LV items. Twice na kami ni hubby naka-experience na nilapitan, di lang namin pinansin. Wala kasi kaming balak pumila at bumili sa LV 'no.

^^I asked the LV store manager in Milan in Rinascente last month regarding the rules nga-- sabi nman niya, sa kanila hindi naman mahigpit- although bine-base nila sa amount nung nabiling items yung limit- but this is because of tax refund yata. He said it's different in Paris kasi yata doon mas mahigpit talaga though mamasqueak is right na wala talagang written rule.
