How much does a trip to Paris cost?

we were in Paris on the first week of May and paulan-ulan nga pero hindi naman malakas ang tumitigil din swerte namin we had blue skies a lot of the times when we were there
malamig sa Paris at that time, unfortunately I only brought a spring coat at hindi kinaya ang lamig pag nasa labas where there's wind! I had to do 3-4 layers with the coat para hindi ako manginig sa lamig, haha... pero it was fun!
We went on those free group tours and it was so worth it! we gave around 15 euros tip (for both of us na yun) for each tour since they were very good and very informative (we used Discovery Walks for NotreDame area and Montmartre)
We also got the Paris Museum Pass and the Navigo Decouverte for 1 week unlimited transpo (had a hard time with this one kasi hindi nila maintindihan english sa mga metro stations! hehe)

I miss Paris already!

gulat ako madumi pala ang Paris! mapanghi ang Metro. but of course, maganda ang Eiffel lalo na sa gabi pag nag twinkle!

ingat kayo mga sis. be street smart. madaming manloloko sa Europe. sa Paris, na harass ang SIL ko. umiyak nga siya. paano nag sign sila sa Help the Deaf kuno. tapos pipilitin kang magbigay ng pera. 20euros lang nakuha sa kanila but yung trauma na ma harass ka sa vacation!

kami rin muntik na, may lalaki biglang kumalabit sa husband ko sabay abot ng gold  ring. kunyari napulot niya. etong hubby ko naman nakipag shake hands pa sabay usisa sa ring. maya maya, hinihingian na kami ng pang coke daw. hay nako! sabi ko sa kanya yung ring. kunyari lang nahulog. no! hindi kami nagbigay kahit 1euro. hehe

kaya yung mga sumunod na pangloloko, pinapahiya talaga namin sila habang papalapit palang.

^correct, ang dumi nga ng Paris. It's our last night and hindi pa namen nakikita ang city of lights na all lit up! Masyado na kase gabi yung sunset and nakakatakot sa metro. Pagsinipag ako, punta ko ng trocadero tonight para may picture naman ako ng Eiffel na puro ilaw.

Ang haba ng pila sa LV, Prada, Channel stores. OA. Pati yung mga nasa side street na tinda mahal! Yung mga ordinary shirts nasa EUR15.

Naku sis, kawawa naman si SIL mo. Naalala ko tuloy yung lumapit na ganyan sa amin yesterday. Pero wi-naive off lang namen, hindi naman nangulit.

it's our 1st day in paris. wala kaming nagawa kasi ampagod namin sa flight from berlin. 3nights lang kami dito. good thing may wifi dito para maresearch ulit to. di ko kasi naasikaso talaga euro trip iti namin kasi super busy noon. mag hop on hop off na lang kami bukas. i'm too tired to make a diy itinerary. sa totoo lang, ang laki ng takot namin ng asawa ko dito. kasi naman sa germany ambabait ng mga tao. ang praning tuloy namin. hahaha! kung makatingin pa mga tao dito, para bang kinikilatis na nila kung ano ba ang pwede madukot sa amin. is it safe to use tripod? kung ano ano na naiimagine ko, na itatakbo camera namin with tripod. hahaha! madali ba bumili ng train tickets sa train stations mismo? feeling ko kasi walang mag eenglish sa amin thanks po.

For the metro tickets, you can buy a pack of 10tickets for 12something, nasa 1.7each kung isa isa lang bibilhin mo. If you're going to buy a hop on hop off pass, kahit hindi kana bumili ng metro tickets. Lahat naman ng major sites dadaanan na. Yung L'Open Tour yung pinakamarami yung routes. Wag ka lang umasa na helpful and accommodating sila, most of their drivers hindi marunong mag-English.

^thanks sis. tanong ko na rin, how does the train tickets work here? sa germany kasi, merong valid for 2 hours, and yung isa valid for 1 whole day and same ticket can be used for buses as well. from our hotel, 1bus ride going to metro station, then 1 line lang going to city center. what can you suggest? thank you po

and may i add na bukas pa namin balak magpunta chateau de versailles. iba rin di ba train tickets going to paris' outskirts? paano po kaya ang magandang bilhin na tickets?

^hello sis! mainit na but windy dito. sa gabi medyo malamig pero carry lang. magdala ka na summer get up mo kung june. kyriad hotel kami, malapit sa orly airport. €255 yata kami for 3 nights, sa booking.com lang namin kinuha. ok naman dito, may airport transpo pa, yun nga lang, sira ac nila ngayon. helpful mga receptionist. kumuha na lang kami 2day pass sa hop on hop off, transpo, and museums. super ok kami dun sa 2 day passes namin kasi wala kaming concrete itinerary. nakakapagod sobra! pumangit skin ko kasi windy, asar. i should have brought with me my super dependable moisturizer kasi super dry ng skin namin sa weather dito maski mainit. bring sunblock. matinding lakaran ginawa namin, di ko na nakilala mga paa ko after! hahaha!

thanks for suggesting l'open tour yun nga the best na. sinunod rin namin suggestion dito na start with few french words then go na with english so far, wala pa naman kami naeencounter na mayabang na french. whew! nakakatuwa mister ko. sabi ko kasi, last stop na lang namin eiffel tower then uwi na pero sa trocadero kami bumaba. hindi nya alam na maganda bubulaga sa aming view. kaya nung pagturn namin dun, sabi ko surprise! ay parang bata na nagbukas lang ng gift e. tuwang tuwa! kahapon sabi nya namimiss na nya germany, pero kanina sabi nya ang ganda ganda daw dito. matalo daw kaya to ng italy sa kagandahan. hhhmmmm..... pero sabi nya gusto nya ulit balik germany if ever mag euro trip kami ulit kasi gusto nya environment dun. don't forget sunblock!!!! nasunburn yata kami, feel ko lang

@euwie - ang ganda talaga ng Eiffel Tower, lalo na pag gabi. Re the tickets, yung book of 10pcs valid siya for the Metro, RER, buses basta within Paris. When going to Disney (Marne La Vallee), Versailles or CDG airport, iba na yung ticket na kailangan mo, mas mahal siya.

Nung umalis kame last Friday, maganda na yung weather. As in super sunny and no need for jackets (carry na ng shirt lang).

Our hotel is just right beside Gare de Lyon station so sobrang ok. Andun yung RER A (going to Disney), Metro Line 1 (going to the Louvre), walking distance to Gare de Austerlitz (going to Versailles). The kids loved the kids area where they have Xbox and Xbox Kinect, plus may Mac for free surfing.

^mahaba nga yung queue if you want to take the lift to the top. What we did was purchase a ticket so we can walk to the 2nd floor and take the lift down. Pwede naman from the 2nd floor, pay the difference so you can take the lift to the top. Mas maikli na yung line from the 2nd floor.

^^ either go first thing in the morning or late at night. Another option though a more expensive one is to reserve a table at the Jules Verne restaurant located on the 2nd floor. They have their own private access.

@curlygurl - yes sis meron sa 2nd floor. when we got to the Eiffel, mahabang, mahaba [textspeak!] pila sa left side (coming from Trocadero), dito nakapila yung mga magte-take ng lift. Sa right side wala, so nakabii agad kame ng tickets. Nagtanong nga ako if pagdating ng 2nd flr and we decided to take the lift to the top, kung pwede ba. Sabi ok lang, there's another ticket office there.

Solve naman na kami sa 2/F, mataas na din siya sobra. I'm scared of heights kaya hindi na nga ako makalapit sa edge. Masaya yung ride sa lift going down.
