High Schools in Makati

Need help mga sis. My daughter and I will be moving to Makati soon and I’m currently looking for school that will be best for my child. She’s an incoming high school freshman (I hope hindi na sya mag-grade 7 kung maaari).

Planning to apply to St Paul College Makati or CSA (dito malamang kailangan nyang mag grade 7). Reason is that, I want a co-ed school for her.

Any suggestion, opinion and advice is a big help. Thanks in advance

st. paul makati is okay according to some of my friends. CSA? not so much unlike before daw...

My sister was a graduate of mak sci.
St. Paul Makati is ok.

pero ako public school lang ako, Makati naman. Mas gusto ko parin ang education ng public schools ng makati compared sa private ones.

may neighbors kami, magkapatid na babae.. nag-aaral sa st paul makati, wala ng ginawa kundi magmurahan at magsigawan! nakakaturn off tuloy na majujudge na rin pati school nila syempre.

hehe sis namamahalan kasi ko sa CSA, sobrang mahal, well for me di ko kaya magpaaral dun. But I heard it's a very good school for what it's worth.

^Sis juicy elementary ako public school ng Makati, sa me Guadalupe. I can say that lahat ng training dun ko nakuha. Yung HS ko, semi-private lang. But I can say na maganda ang training dahil nakapasok naman ako sa isang top college school and fortunately nakagraduate din.

Katurnoff naman nga yung magkapatid na yun galing ng St. Paul. baka talagang mas me bearing pa rin ang home enviroment for most cases.

uu nga, kka turnoff naman yun,to think catholic school pa naman,,pero baka nga mas malaki factor yung family environment nung 2 teens..

anyways,i'll just share my feedback on Makati Science. i graduated there,almost 6 yrs ago na

maganda ang education system nila.during our time, there are only 4 sections per each year,so less than 500 lang population ng buong school.max 30 students per block.i'm not sure lang ngayon kasi may new campus na gngwa and bldg is,i think 10 storey,parang office.not sure kelan mttapos yun.

it's a public high school,gov't gives monthly stipend to students,pero pansin ko lang,dumadami nakakapasok from private schools.maybe gusto makatipid ng mga parents cause almost walang tuition fee dun ,(cgro 300 lang per year hehe) pero level of education is not behind w/phil sci and mla science,if not the same

classes are from 7am to 5:30 pm ,8 subjects per day
aside from regular subjects like history,HE,filipino etc, our core subjects are multiplied by 2,for english,match and science
for example,when i was in 3rd yr, i studied trigo and calculus
when we reached 4th yr, we still have trigo and calculus but advance class na

^sis, being from Makati Science, what other high schools from Makati ang kacompete/challenger nyo sa quiz bee... ang hanap ko kasi sa school is yung active sa mga contests and quiz bees.

I grew up in makati.. My mom is a high school teacher in a public school there..me and my siblings graduated in st paul makati.. My son now goes to csa makati..

For me, eventough im a loyalty awardee in st paul, i didnt send my son there.. I just dont like..

My daughter is an incoming Grade 7 and we are planning to send her to Makati Science High. Would anyone know what month do they usually hold the entrance exams? TIA!

My daughter is studying in makati science high school. Usually around this time nag register na sila for entrance exams on first week of December, for incoming freshmen. May mga requirements sila before they accept your child to take the exam. First, grades for major subjects (Math, Filipino, Science, English) should not be lower than 85. Then you have to get a 'good moral character' and copy of report card showing grades for first and second grading period. Last year 600 ang nakapasa sa entrance exam out of 1000+ applicants. try to search they have their own website.

My daughters both in high school also graduated from public elementary schools here in makati. maganda naman ang public schools and teachings dito.
