^ yup, sa pobox ako nagpa-quote. i emailed babiesrus to ask for package dimensions muna then nagpa-quote ako ng shipping. pero at the time, maclaren tehcno xlr lang ang choice ko so yon lang pina-quote ko but i would think halos same sizes lang ang boxes nila.
yung mga strollers na bulky when folded, medyo malapad din sila when unfolded so medyo mas mahirap i-maneuver. sample nito yung mga graco type. well, hind naman talaga mahirap i-maneuver pero mas madali lang i-maneuver yung mga umbrella type na na-try namin.
kung bibili ka ng stroller with matching infant carrier/car seat, baka hindi mo na din masulit yung infant carrier/car seat if you'll start using it lang at 4 months kasi may height and weight limit. that's why we opted to get a reversible car seat instead kasi magagamit up to about 3-4 years old. we got a chicco proxima. hindi pwede i-attach sa stroller but we figured ok lang din naman kasi like you, hindi din namin plano ilabas masyado si baby while she's still so tiny. though i can see na may advatages naman ang infant carrier/car seat pero nagpaka-practical ako hence the reversible car seat.
yung una naming tiningnan was the chicco cortina stroller with keyfit20 infant carrier/carseat. ok sana pero bulky yung stroller. but between chicco and graco, mas gusto ni hubby yung chicco.
imo, maganda naman talaga yung quinny buzz plus aliw talaga yung hydraulics niya. kaya lang ang bulky talaga when folded kasi yung frame lang naman ang nagf-fold so parang binaba mo lang siya but the width is the same. tapos if you use it parent-facing, kailangan mo muna tanggalin yung seat and make it forward-facing before you can fold it. eh for my husband hassle pa daw yon.
yung mothercare spin maganda din sana kasi you don't have to remove the seat to make it forward- or rear-facing. we really liked this. ang drawback lang niya, when you fold, kailangan tanggalin yung seat then fold the frame so 2 pieces pa siya. and kinda pricey din.
maclaren is nice to maneuver, very lightweight talaga. ang ayaw ko lang talaga maliit yung basket tsaka nung tinry namin sabitan yung handle ng diaper bag na may lamang scotch tape dispenser (na hiniram namin sa SA sa rustans), halos bumaliktad na yung stroller.
kaya we ended up with peg perego kasi maclaren feel pero parang mas stable siya. pero kung ako lang ang masusunod, gusto ko sana talaga yung bugaboo bee pero ang mahal eh, hindi ko na-justify kay hubby ang price.
but true, walang issue ang pagka-bulky ng stroller pag SUV ang gamit mo. we had to sell my 1-year old car and got a 7-seater SUV when i found out i was pregnant in anticipation of the stroller in the trunk plus a carseat on the backseat. and ang idea ni husband, pag hindi ko daw siya kasama, i can just put the stroller in the cargo space as is, wag ko na i-fold kung hindi ko type mag-fold.
