ladies, nasusulit nyo ba yung car seat? my hubby wants to buy a 3-in-1 stroller kase which has a car seat na. kaso baka mamaya sa una lang magamit and hinde na masulit after. what do you think?

Sis if you always bring your baby with you and if sanayin mo baby mo sa car seat then masusulit. I have a cousin 2 years old na baby niya, nasanay na. Pag sakay ng car, deretso sa car seat. That is why yung baby ko din sinasanay ko mag carseat for safety purposes of course.

In our case medyo hindi nasulit. The Graco one was sulit when we were in the US tapos inuwi namin dito together with the Graco trolley it came with and mabilis nya naka-lakihan. Tapos when we bought the Recaro carseat na eh ayaw na nya. Buti na lang may baby # 2 on the way na kami kaya magagamit nya yun Recaro. Sayang kasi eh.

Anyway, my husband likes Quinny Buzz miles more than Maclaren JC. Di pa kami makapili ng color dahil sa gender, though. Sana mag 0% interest ulit pag nalaman na namin yung gender.

In my opinion, it's better to get a separate convertible car seat, one that fits a NB to about 4 yo, than to get those bulky travel systems, and then get a lightweight stroller.  Yung car seat kasi sa travel system mga hanggang 3 months lang ng baby yun (it also depends on the size of your baby).  Yun ang hindi sulit, I think.  After 3 months you'll have to buy a bigger car seat and then you're left with a bulky stroller.

^ I agree. Ganyan nangyari samin with the Graco Metrolite, we ended up buying a convertible carseat and an umbrella-type trolley. Yung Graco, nakatambak na lang dito sa bahay. Sobrang nakakahinayang. Ang hirap kasi gamitin nun kasi pag naka-sedan kami, puno na agad yung trunk nung car dahil ang laki nya at ang hirap gamitin sa crowded areas like malls dahil mashadong mabigat and hindi magkasya minsan sa aisle.
Kaya I agree with Sis DV, buy a convertible carseat and a light-weight umbrella-type trolley na puede forNB.

The rear-facing car seat for newborns nasulit namin for 1 year kasi maliit ang babies ko.  We used them as carrier pa in the early months.  The front-facing car seat ang hindi nasulit because when my little boys turned 2, ayaw na nila umupo sa car seat.     They use the car seats for long-haul drives. 

Depends on your kid, sis.  Sanay ang kids ko sa car seat from discharge sa hospital, naka-car seat na sila.  So I thought okay kami.  But when they turned 2, everything changed.  Nakakapagod to deal with two screaming toddlers each time aalis kami, kahit sa church lang.  What's a mom to do?

But still, I am for safety kaya never ko naman pinanghinayangan ang car seats na binili namin.

^^Thanks for your inputs. i was wondering nga din whether the car seat in those 3-in-1 travel system would last my baby until toddler years. kase kung hinde, sayang yung money talaga. my hubby really is all for car seats kase number 1 talaga yung safety, plus, usually mainit sa front side ng car diba so wawa naman si baby don.

which brand can you recommend for a car seat? we wanna get the graco stroller that we saw, i forgot lang which type it was. ok din ba car seats ng graco?

^^ My kids used Phil & Teds and Safety 1st rear-facing car seats.  For front-facing car seats, Britax naman.

I live in the US so no choice kundi masulit ang car seat.
I agree with DV though that if you want it na masulit, go for the convertible na rather than the infant seat (o yung tinatawag na bucket) which usually accompanies the travel systems.
The infant seat kasi has a weight limit of 22lb (though yung iba, 32lb) and it also has a height limit. Depending on how big your baby is and how fast your baby grows, this can last you anywhere from 6mos to a year.
The only downside to a convertible is that most convertibles are ill-fitting for a small newborn and may not be the safest choice until your baby hits 9-10lb. So kung maliit ang baby mo, it may not fit your baby well. The few convertibles that I've read that fits babies well are the Sunshine Kids Radian and First Years True Fit.

My bestfriend lives in the NJ and she suggested that i buy my baby stuff in babiesrus.com and have it shipped to her house tapos she'll ship it to me. when i checked the website, super mura the items even the playpens and strollers. $65 flat rate ng shipping from NJ to Manila, that's per balikbayan/stroller/crib box. her husband kase has a friend who does shipping for business but the catch is 2-3 months yung timeframe. I'm tempted to buy online kaso ang iniisip ko, what if may factory defect or something.

I plan to buy the JC stroller din abroad and just have it shipped here. Wala na raw kasi dito eh. We did that already with my Son's stroller, it arrived in perfect condition naman. 1 month lang ang time frame.

^ Once na I reached my 5th month and girl na my second, I will give my Aunt the go-signal to buy it for me. Pero kasi my Husaband prefers Buzz eh. I will negotiate pa, sabi ko Buzz is too bulky. Chineck na namin sa Mega and nag-sign up sya sa log book and sabi nya, notify us pag may new color na damating. Kaloka. He wants a red Buzz daw para katerno ni Recaro carseat.

yeah yun lang ang backside ng buzz, bulky and mabigat pero sarap ng feeling while driving it. hehe. promoter yata ako ng buzz. haha. until now kasi napapalingon pa din ako sa mga buzz na nagkalat dito.

minsan im sad, sana di ko na lang binenta. itabi ko sa pagtulog.
