hi sisses! finally back from bantayan! what can i say?? wow!!yun pala ang isla!!!
one of the best places (aside from panglao) if you need perfect solitude! here's my share na:
landed on mactan airport march 2nd, 545am. pag labas pa lang namin ng airport, meron ng mga cabs na nangongontrata for like 1800 up to hagnaya port. we were just 3 and on a budget so, out sila! took a metered cab north terminal. costed us 108php. at the terminal, we first inquired sa v-hires, 2500 daw! duh!!! so we tried the ceres bus.but since the bus is leaving at 730, we decided to wait na rin if ever meron kaming pwedeng ka-share sa van. good thing, 3 finnish divers were off to malapascua so we paid 200 each lang and the rest of the fare, theirs! wahahaha!!so comfy ng ride since 6 lang kami!
took a stop at hillside bakery and had breakfast (chorizo, pork bbq, puso and coke = 30php)! panalo!! anyway, we reached hagnaya port just in time for the 930 island shipping ferry. paid 150 each and reached sta. fe port a little past 11. good thing, the sea was so calm!!! for people like me who don't know how to swim (what a sucker!!), plus point talaga pag mabait ang dagat. at sta. fe, we were picked up by the pink budyong service and as sis cutiepie has said, the guy (eddie) addressed us on a first name basis!!! not that maarte ako na kailangan may sir or mam, feeling ko lang, "wow manong, close tayo?" lolz. we reserved the beachfront airconditioned room for 1700/night.ok lang naman sya, clean but very basic. no tv, no fridge. after we put down our bags, we headed straight to the resto..ordered adobong pusit which was highly recommended by our fellow sisses here and grilled fish. mahal ko na ang adobong pusit nila, promise!!!very satisfied ako!
after lunch, pahinga muna kami sa room dahil suuuuppper init outside!as in! walang kahangin-hangin and the sun, parang galit sa tindi ng sikat! past 3pm, we went for a walk where the restos are. nagchech din kami ng accommodation sa tristan's. ok naman, 1K good for 3pax, with a/c tv and wifi. though we opted to stick with budyong pa rin. we ordered pizza from tristan's too, and they delivered it at exactly 7pm, as instructed. in fairness, masarap nga sya!!for 350, good deal!! past 4 na kami nagswim..ok naman yung water, calm and lukewarm! mejo umambon lang sandali nung 7pm, pero super sandali lang naman. we also ordered yung grilled chorizo. 11php/stick, grilled pusit and fish at 30/35 respectively. take note, free delivery hehe!!
the following morning, nagpalengke and side trip sa bantayan town. alimasag was 200/kilo, liempo at 160. we rented the boat at 800 tapos si manong (gudong?) na nagluto sa virgin island. sakto ang island hopping namin kasi very tahimik ang water, hindi nga ako kinabahan (though i still wore my vest!) paid 300 for the entrance at VI, paluto and use of utensils for 50. may tindahan there sa VI where you can buy water, softdrinks,etc.. left VI past 1 and dinaanan na lang namin yung hinagtagan island..hindi naman kasi kami mahilig mag-snokelling, picture taking lang! hahahah!!!! pagbalik namin sa budyong, medyo kulimlim, we though uulan, hindi naman..sarap lang magbabad sa water..then mga 5pm, we went to the floating bar (yoonek resort)..50 for a bottle of pilsen..pwede na! past 7, dinner at blue ice..highly recommend nung kanong katabi namin ng room...hay!!hindi naman masarap!ang bagal pa ng service!!ordered pork adobo, lasang pork steak!!!sus!!tapos yung shrimp gambas, konti na lang, chopsuey na!! sayang!! dapat nag portuguese na lang kami...patay ang nightlife in the island --especially sa beachfront kasi talagang total darkness lang makikita mo - -labo nun ah!
last day in the island..craving for the chorizo for breakfast..we walked again dun sa kabilang street and kakabukas lang nung carinderia na nagtitinda nun...longsilog with coffee - 45. good deal? esep-esep! sabagay, kahit saan namang carinderia syempre ever present sina mr. and mrs. langaw diba? but what turned us off was the presence of maggots in their catsup! promise!! gumagalaw na nga e! eww!!so mas maigi pa ring dun na lang kayo sa iba or make sure na bagong luto si chorizo and take out nyo na lang!
but all in all, it was all fun fun fun!!! (btw, hindi na pala kami nakapunta ng ogtong cave, tinamad na!)
