Bantayan Island is an island in the Philippines located at the western portion of the northern tip of Cebu Island. It is politically a part of the Province of Cebu. The island can be reached by ferry from Hagnaya Wharf in San Remigio, Cebu, or from Cebu City, or from Cadiz City in Negros Occidental.

been to bantayan island last sept 2009 and we stayed sa Sta fe beach club.

We enjoyed our stay there! kasi that tume, unti lang tao. at kami lang ni boyfie ang lumabas,walang night life.pero sobrang relaxing,

we had a day tour sa ogtong cave,cool. ganda ng place and sobrang tahimik at enjoy ang lahat.

we were in bantayan last year, we weren't able to go to sta fe, but we spent a whole day in ogtong, ganda dun! lalo na dun sa cave, sarap mag stay.

dusa lang ang byahe from cebu city to sta fe!

But Bantayan Island is different destination, I think it's better to have it's own thread.

Yes it is part of Cebu but malayong part, it is not located at Cebu City.

Para hindi maguluhan yung mga gustong pumunta ng Bantayan Island, para mas mabilis nila malaman pano makapunta and ano mga resorts.

It's like Boracay, it is located at Panay but malayo sa City diba?

yeah, i believe ok na rin to have a separate thread. medyo malayo na talaga ang bantayan than cebu proper, like 4 to 5 hours of travel


we stayed at tristan's resort. di kagandahan kaso no choice kase puno na the rest of sta fe even ogtong. ang namimiss ko yung tristan's special pizza! everyday meal namin yun, di nakakasawa

^ yes approximate 4-5 hours (depende sa driver) hehe...

Approx 2.5 - 3 hours from Cebu Airport to Hagnaya Port and 1 hour boat ride. from Hagnaya Port to Sta. Fe Port

I tried their Pizza once pa lang and I also like it

^ang di ko type pasta nila. kakaiba LOL. pero hands down sa tristan's pizza, if pwede lang magpadeliver eh haha

^last minute preparation kaya naubusan ng ma-stayan sa sta fe hehe. feb or march ata yun. medyo madaming tao sa ogtong when we went there for a day trip. maganda shoreline ng sta fe noh, sa tapat ng tristan's di gaano eh, medyo madumi.

^oo sis, fine yong sand. mukha lang madumi yong dagat dahil sa mga damo. pero malinis pa rin kasi walang basura.

sobrang ganda don sa virgin island. sarap bumalik!

di rin namin nagawa mag island hopping, katakot kase, lakas ng hangin and alon eh. yun lang, malumot ba talaga dagat dun, kaya madumi shore sa hilera ng tristans gawa ng lumot, tapos they don't clean it. hinahayaan lang.

^baka kasi kahit walisin nila araw2x yon dadalhin pa rin ng alon yong mga dumi sa shore.

pero para sa akin mas maganda bantayan kesa moalboal. kaya gusto kong bumalik don. nakailang uwi na ako sa cebu pero di kayang isingit bantayan kasi medyo malayo din sa haus.

^ re lumot, I think seasonal and araw araw sa sta fe they clean it, pero kung maalon talaga, lahat ng shore line eh binibisita ng lumot hehe....

Island hopping naman try also sa Paradise Beach, actually it's not a develop beach parang virgin island na pwede puntahan, doon lang ko nakakita ng malapitan ng malaking blue star fish. I hope makabalik ako doon.

Naka snorkling din kami sa mga chorals, very nice sila pag malapitan.

any inputs regarding budjong resort?katabi lang daw ng kota beach?

and dusa ba talaga yung travel from cebu to bantayan?kasi ngayon pa lang nagplan na ako para sa trip namin and I really wanted to go to bantayan. problem is malayo nga daw and I only have 3days/2nights for the trip..

me and hubby stayed at sta. fe beach club last november peo one night lang kasi madumi dagat nila. we transfered to ogtong. super ganda dun! babalik ulit kami nextyear hopefull at sa hoyohoy naman try namin mag stay.

it's not really dusa if you love nature nice yung views and maraming places din kayo madadaanan.

okay lang din if 3 days 2 nights but you have to budget your time, dapat alamin mo agad ang schedule ng boat from hagnaya to sta fe.

what time dating niyo ng cebu dapat maaga, usually ang boat 11:30am, 1:30, forgot the rest na hehe...

yung mga dadaanan, it's nice talaga. di ko lang talaga type yung byahe, medyo matagtag and maalikabok at super init nung nagpunta kami dun, kase nga lunch time ang byahe eh. masakit pa sa butt yung upuan ng bus na nasakyan namin ;p

ic, hehe... may mga taxi din for hire para solo lang kayo, if may budget, meron din mga vans, dati sa sm cebu may terminal, not sure na ngayon.
