Hi Sis, maganda ang advice mo about Positive Affirmation..

I really don't consider my experience as depression. When I and my boyfriend broke up, I felt really really sad. The decision to end the relationship came from me naman (i couldn't take it na kasi talaga). But still, i felt extremely sad that time.
Nung sobrang sobrang ramdam ko na yung lungkot and I felt like I'm so broke and like a troubled soul and just want comfort, naghanap ako ng church na pwede kong attendan. Yung feeling na you there's no more to run but God? Ganon yung feeling ko! :D
Naging sa regular yung pagchuchurch ko. Surprisingly, naging ok ako  :) Feeling ko complete ako without any man in my life (pero syempre I have my son naman). I can definitely say that I found comfort with God.  :)
Now, i always have this concern to a person whether stranger or someone I personally know who seems like experiencing depression or deep sadness. Kaya sa fb, kapag may mga friends ako posting stuffs with "depression sign" contents, I will immediately send them a personal message like, "kamusta ka?", or, "do you want someone to talk to?" :)
So, to our sisses who are currently having a tough time, I am praying for your healing and genuine happiness in the future.  ;) :)

make sure lang to bring in emotions when you do positive affirmation =) useless kasi if you just hear them without feeling emotions. another suggestion is continue on listening to them to make it a habit, and slowly bring in emotions.

please don't take this the wrong way ah, I'm saying this kasi I've experienced it and even went for therapy healing plus nagconfirmed pa ako sa mga endless utube videos haha if affected ka sa sinasabi ng iba, whether pabiro or not, you must consider checking your belief on who you are. KAsi if affected tayo sa sinasabi ng iba, it means we are expecting something from them and we are letting our outside env't control us. The problem is, we can't have that kind of mindset kasi we can't control other people and it's not our job to change other people. What we can only do is change ourselves (even if we feel na tama talaga tayo and mali sila).  When we know we are right, be humble na lang and show compassion sa iba. Or gently "pull" yourself away from them or tell them kindly na medyo nakak-offend sinabi nila, parang ganun. When we love ourselves and accept ourselves no matter what, no one's opinion can bother us. we can even take it as a joke e. It always start sa sarili natin. Gaya ng sinabi ng therapist ko, "so what's bothering you, it's just words." As in paulit ulit nya yan sinabi sakin during my session with her to the point na naiinis na ako kasi feel ko useless session and bayad ko sa kanya. To make the story short, I finally realized the point she is trying to make. She made me realized na ako mismo may problem, dahil sa old belief ko and it affected the way everytime my parents talk to me.

Basta kapit lang, don't lose hope. The universe has your back =)

So happy to hear that sis =) Thanks for sharing your experience, it made me realize na I should be more aware sa mga depression signs posts ng ibang tao.

Thank you so much sis.. I really appreciate it.. Reading people post here makes me somehow feel a little better. I will listen to more positive affirmation videos and bring my emotion with it.. I just listen and so on..

Mukhang magaling din yung therapist mo sis.. Gusto ko yung sinabi nya sayo na "It's just words." I am doing my best not to be affected by it..

^yup magaling siya. Personally, magaling siya not because of her degrees but because she connects well with her patients. Pero of course, important is open din tayo sa mga sinasabi nila. During the 1st half of the session, naiinis ako sa mga sinasabi niya. PAra bang, I just want her to tell me what's wrong with me so I could fix it. But she's not like that. Pinaparealize niya sayo ano yun problem para yun sagot galing sayo mismo.

Share ko lang din, and lately ko lang napagtanto, how being grateful really does affect how we see things. It can be an effective alternative way to, at least ease yung mga bothersome thoughts. The time I felt the heaviness ng mga thoughts ko, though hindi ko naman sinasadya pero naiisip ko pa rin, and then eventually nakakaoverwhelm sila and I just felt really, really tired emotionally, I had a moment to stop and think na "hey, despite of everything, I can still do something about it..." or basta nagccount lang ako ng blessings. And then siguro parang nagincrease yung seratonin or endorphins or any happy glands meron sa utak ko tapos okay na ko, just by doing a simple pep talk with myself.

This will not remove the depressive thoughts in one go, pero it can be a good way to exercise the mind..

-- Just wanting to share lang sa inyo  :)

^Im trying to be strong for my kid maski parang zombie mode na ang life ko.

^Prayers and reading the Bible is good but you also need person that you can talk to. Therapist, a good friend or even here in GT, just to vent out can help.

Wag please. Kasalanan yun, hindi yon maganda. I don't know what you're going through, hindi rin sa nagmamarunong pero mas kailangan ka ng anak mo kesa sa makukuha nya sa insurance. Push lung.

Hope you're ok sis obviously hindi. I've been to that situation sis na to the point na gusto ko rin iend ang life ko.

Wala akong gana lumabas at makipag-usap. Hay.

^Sis, mysterioza_me I had a phase na ganyan mismo pakiramdam ko, but there were situations naman that caused me to feel that way, ang ma-advise ko lang sa ngayon is, just let yourself be, feel the pain, feel whatever it is that you are feeling, matatapos din at mapapagod ka din, dadaan talaga siguro tayong lahat sa breaking point, sabi nga nila in order for a star to be born a nebula must collapse, ganyang-ganyan naramdaman ko noon, shattered into tiny pieces, I just kept my faith, talked to my closest family members/friends, learned to EXERCISE, I RAN A LOT everyday, changed my diet, dahan dahan naging ok na din ako. I was close to having myself checked, kasi di ko na alam what's wrong with me, I am just so sad, down, demotivated, alam mo bang merong 1 buong taon ako umiiyak, as in literal na araw araw for a 1 year di pwedeng di ako iiyak or maluluha. Worst part is OFW ako dito sa Middle East. Now that I am doing very well, Im at peace na and very happy and content, I finally realized why I had to go through that. Kapit lang Sis, lagi mo isipin anak mo.

Yes I think malaking bagay yung exercise talaga. Dapat may activities ang katawan, kasi ako dati bahay, trabaho, kain.

Participate sa mga charity.

I'm actively exercising too for mood regulation, bonus na lang yung physical fitness.

There are others na basic hygiene activities lang, sobrang effort pa.

There were a few times, during may PMS (so I know it's just hormones), buong araw ako nakahiga. During that time nag-absent ako sa service ko, and wala rin ako gana manood ng kahit ano. Natulog na lang ako buong araw. There is such a thing as Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Pero di naman ganyan kalala saken.

At the time naramdaman ko yung isang criteria ng major depression which is psychomotor retardation - decreased movements. Kapag ganito ka for so many days, wala kang physical energy. For other people, samahan pa ng mga thoughts of worthlessness, guilt, and other negative emotions. Add to it a decreased interest of previously enjoyed activities.

Aside from the physical aspect of depression, if you have a history of childhood emotional neglect and abuse, better have a psychotherapist or use workbooks na nabibili (meron sa Amazon). Yung mga childhood pains they remain in the body. That's for working with your psyche.

As for working the body, try shibashi or qi gong muna, light movements lang sya. Recently, again during PMS, parang gusto ko naman matulog buong araw, no mood to watch anything, no energy to bike either (stationary). I began with shibashi. So far, wala pang downtime during PMS.
