I know I don't have problems and challeges like yours mga sis. Pero prayer is very powerful. And try to look on the bright side. There are many things to be thankful for.

Yung mga problems na kaya nyo isolve, it's ok to find a solution. Pero yung mga uncontrollable problems lift them up to the Lord. Hold on. There are good things waiting for you. We just need to be patient and hopeful. That's our Lord's promise. These are the bible verses na shineshare ko sa bf ko.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Jeremiah 29:11
"I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I've been really depressed for a few months now. I'm depressed because my son might be diagnosed with autism, I hate living with my in laws, my MIL doesn't help when she refers to my son as abnormal, I don't get to see my family too often, I have few friends lang and sometimes I get really disappointed with the man I married. Sabi nga ng partner ko I might be bipolar kasi there are days na I'm really okay tapos bigla na lang ako susumpungin ng depression na nagiiba talaga ugali ko. It never crossed my mind to commit suicide but I've been thinking of getting away, leaving my in laws house and have some time away from everything. I'm scared I might become my mother who left her kids. I don't want to leave my son but the more I stay and live with my in laws parang I'll go crazy na.. I don't know what to do.. minsan natutulala na lang ako. I know we're still blessed pero ambigat bigat..

I'm depressed coz I can't find the right job.. I'm ashamed to tell my friends that I don't have a job.. that's why I avoid going out with them. I feel like no one is helping me. I always make wrong decisions in my career. :'(

In case you girls need to someone to listen. Venting out could help with your depression. But of course with a professional. Your friends are not enough to talk to. Always remember that.

OT Question, if you're with someone who has mental disorders, hereditary kaya 'to? would your future kids have them? I spoke to my bf regarding this and he said its best we don't have kids daw in the future.. this bothers me a lot, I know sometimes he is well and sometimes not..

I have recently been diagnosed as clinically depressed kaso hindi ko maafford yung P2000 / hour rate na hinihingi ng psychologist. Pero I've beat it for now. It's always there, but you can learn how to manage it. What I did was...

1. Seek emotional support. So I finally opened up to my sister and she became an emotional pillar for me. Iba kasi siya pa lang family member ko na nasabihan ko ng problem ko and the true source ng depression ko, which goes back to my childhood years. It pays to have family and friends to support you talaga.

2. Exercise. I signed up for gym and I noticed na I feel lighter and happier. It's because going to the gm releases endorphines so this is a great way to start.

3. Pray. Pray for strength and for guidance. And also, thank God for the blessings he has given you despite everything else.

Not sure if depression ang nararamdaman ko but I've been unhappy in my home for the last 3 years because we live very close to my in-laws. I hated the idea ever since and I am resentful to my husband because he along with his siblings were the ones who decided that their parents live 5 doors away from us. Since then we fight almost a month. I've cried many times and had my share of sleepless nights. 3 days ago I woke up feeling unhappy again because my husband's neice was here til' 1 am to use the internet. Maybe it sounds mababaw pero I feel my home has become an extension of my in-laws. I've been searching for a new place where we can move ang hirap naman din humanap. Three days ko na hindi kinikibo hubby ko because I got tired of explaining my side. Nauubos na yung saya ko and I always think of going back to my parents. But I can't leave my daughter here because we live 10 mins from her school. I can't face naman the prospect of having my inlaws take charge of her...naku never. Bottom line the longer I'm in this situation (which is living near my in-laws) the more I go crazy.

I have a history of depression.

It was difficult, and only those who had been there before can understand.

Yes, you do need emotional support, but also be selective on whom you talk to. Most people will try to be light and dismissive about your situation (I had a friend told me, "alam mo kelangan mo lang ng inspiration, magboyfriend ka na"), or placate you ("be thankful ka na lang kasi andami mong blessings," or "buti nga may trabaho ka"), or give advice that nobody asked for ("why don't you try doing this..."). Ako kase, and a lot of depressed people ha based on what I read, just want to be heard and understood.

What got me through it. Hmmm. I focused lang on those people na naiintindihan ako and I tried doing things that relaxed me. This can be as simple as hanging out with friends eating fish-ball and other tusok-tusok. I met new people and that got me distracted. I guess at both times, it just happened, parang pagmove on lang. I realized after a while okay na ko.

Lastly, and this has been mentioned before, PRAY. Make a petition to God to help you, lift all your problems to Him.

Ilang beses ko na to napagdaanan and yet ngayon ang hirap bumangon. :(

Nadepress ako nung naghiwalay kami ng first husband ko. I started thinking what went wrong. Dinala ako sa province and nagpadoctor ako. Na overcome ko yung depression by doing little things like magtahi, mag luto and mag drive.

Baka dun daw. Sabi ko baka hindi naman. Anytime kasi like 2 hrs ago, aatakihin ako. Naiiyak akong ewan. Baka nababaliw na nga yata ako. :(

^Grabe naman sis nababaliw kaagad? Siguro reflect ka what makes you feel down talaga, I think alam mo yan at the bottom of your heart. Look at it without denial or ano.

Sis nagstart lang ito nung September. Nagpatanggal ako ng tonsils. After the operation nagsasabi kami ng ang ganda ng health card sa office namin kasi covered lahat ng expenses. And I even said "pati pagbubuntis covered kahit Asian Hospital". Tapos biglang naisip ko na my husband doesnt want to have kids. Di ko alam if yun ang dahilan. Sabi ng hubby yun daw yun.

Ako naman deep down I dont want to work. Sana kung pwede sa bahay na lang ako and take care of my family. Pero di naman pwede yon. Aside from the fact my husband knew me na very independent, career woman. Baka yun yon?

Eto kain tulog lang ako. I tried watching movies di ako makapag concentrate. After this mapapagod ako kakaisip and then i'll end up sleeping and crying. :(

I experienced depression last year. During the height of my depression I lose interest in doing even the basic things. There is the feeling that I want to disappear, since I feel that i'm going nowhere and everything is not making any sense. Kahit nga sa pagkain kumakain ako nun dahil kailangan pero parang wala akong nalalasahan. Nagkukulong ako sa bahay reading books. Then I suddenly become interested in esoterics again.  I was already interested in esoterics before pero yung mababaw lang.

I read and study topics regarding past life, karma,  reincarnation,  and spirituality and somehow I gain clarity why things are happening to me. I also tried meditation.  I know i've got a long way to go in the esoteric path, since I am just starting but my learning in esoterics definitely made me a better person. What helped me in my battle with depression  may not apply to everyone, some might even get more confused and some may really need professional help , but I'm just sharing what helped me since it might also work for others.

Seeking professional help is by far one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I'm feeling better now.
