korek sis hindi ganun kadali yung gamutan, ako years na eh pero d parin ako bumabalik sa dating ako. hirap din makakuha ng support group kasi ssabihin nila nag iinarte ka lang or what. basta hindi nila maiintindihan. :(

for the past week, exercise ako everyday. i have plenty of time dahil konti lang oras na binigay sa akin sa work, pero imbis na malungkot ako about it, ang laki lang talaga ng positive effect of exercising sa mind. normally i would've been beating myself up over it. pati ako nagulat sa sarili ko haha.

kapit lang mga sis!

^ Good for you, sis. Exercising doesn't work for me. :(

Nor trying to do the stuff I like. Zero motivation talaga. Oh well...

^ thanks sis, though i only participate in group exercises (zumba class, cardio, etc) at the gym. hindi ko pa kaya yung mag-isa lang ako because my mind will wander at kung ano ano naman maiisip ko. but being in class, you're concentrated on following the instructor. i guess it's good distraction, plus endorphins and all that. but once it's over, ayan na naman, may mga moments pa rin. ang hinahanap ko naman ay company, kasi i don't have friends here. sa city ko kasi mga ibang lahi, and although wala naman ako problema making friends with them, sadyang hindi ko lang trip yung mga trip nila.

i understand that zero motivation feeling as well sis. how about taking a friend along while you do the stuff you like? baka ma-lessen yung nakakatamad feeling if you have someone there with you.

Im currently suffering depression. I was once tried to take my life. I over dose myself with amlodephine but survived. After five months i kept myself busy with work when i had my long off anxiety attacked again i was not able to sleep for three days straight and crying for nothing again i thought of ending my life. (Its weird but im getting facinated with deaths) then i was brought to a psych and my doctor gave me altrox and jovia. I dont know if im getting better. Yes if i took my meds because it relaxes my mind i sleep a lot and having short retention of memory but once the effect lapses ill be restless again im having a real hard time now. Im getting tired...

Hugs to the other sisses struggling with depression.

Both my therapist and psychiatrist never told me to be "positive".  That's the problem with depression, no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to be optimistic. It's not easy to shake off that doom and gloom feeling. Telling a patient to be "positive" will be counterproductive kasi it'll make him/her feel guilty lang, IMHO.

Depression ang pinakamahirap i-cure sa lahat ng sakit, kasi nasa mind natin yan, before i've been there, with the help some friends na super recently ko lang nakilala, na napaka-positive, unti unti nakasurvive ako.

Mahirap kasi yung magisa ka lang parati, wala kang nakakusap, thinking all day ng kung ano ano na hindi pa nga nangyayari.. masyadong mapaglaro yung isip ng tao, diba nga our mind is so strong that sometimes it can destroy you. Payo ko mga sis attract more positive vibes. No one can help you but yourself din naman, at may contribution din ng mga "positive na tao" sa paligid..

They say na the more na positive ang kasama mo or nakakasama mo, the more na nakakahatak ng positive aura, w/c is true, first i thought keme lang but in the long run you will realize na napakalaking bagay pala ng pagiging optimistic sa kabila ng lahat ng medyo di magandang nangyayari.. it's really "how-you-take-things" .

Life is too short so make the most out of it. Let's be positive.

Hi, i'm looking for a support group and saw this thread. dunno if am really suffering from depression. I got this feeling of emptiness as others reporting thou am not getting mad or irritated on things. The thing is I dont care anymore like at work, at home, etc. Most of the time am sad when I'm alone but I always prefer being alone. I'm not enjoying the things I like to do before and lately i dont have any more plans for myself or for others unlike the old me. Maybe am just crazy or sad but am i depress? if so i hope we can create a support group like on chat or anything that people like us can reach each other anytime and anyplace, especially when the feeling of suicidal kicks in maybe other members can lend a hand and help to overcome it.

nag try akong mag exercise.

Nung sobrang depressed ako last year wala akong ibang ginawa kungdi pagurin yung sarili ko.
After niyan, boxing naman. Kaya kelangan kong kayanin to. mahirap talaga. pero kaya natin to.

Exercise. It releases happy hormones.
I drink. pero in control naman.
Think of happy thoughts.
Count your blessings. Try to go out and observe,

a bf also told me bipolar ako. Anyways, it's subjective because of your relationship with him before. As for me, I just ignored him. Also, don't take medicines, all it does is numb you from reality. Wala naman talagang gamot Para mag IBA ang pagiisip mo, mental defects are not the same with brain defects.
the same with personality disorder or behavior, usually its only affected by your current situation.

3 weeks ago, I tried to off myself.

I was under strict suicide watch for the next 10 days.

Even now, my psych told me I should not be left alone, so....

P.S.

I'm taking meds, doing therapy, exercising, reading books, going out with "positive" happy people, etc...

If you don't mind me asking, do you smoke? Because smoking also greatly contributes to depression.
