If you love funny paranormal books then I highly highly recommend Bewitched and Bewildered series of Alanea Alder. 3 books pa lang out sa series : My Commander, My Protector and My Healer.


Super laugh out loud lang ang peg ko while reading them. Can't wait for the other ebooks to be released.

When I went to Istanbul last month, I bought a few books by Turkish writers. I wasn't really expecting much. I just wanted a taste of Turkish literature. But as soon as I started reading, man, love at first page.

They're exotic and insightful, these books, and they transported me to unfamiliar territory - where Allah is god, Istanbul is a person, and Sufism is the way of life. I specifically enjoyed The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak. If you like Rumi's writings, you might want to check this one out. I was recovering from a break-up when I read this, and it calmed me and helped me put things into perspective.

Anyway, I ordered some more Turkish books from Amazon just yesterday.

Honor: A Novel - Elif Shafak
My Name is Red - Orhan Pamuk (Nobel Laureate, if I may add)

I can't wait to receive them!
