Mga sis, i noticed na from abroad to Phils. e kasama nyo mga pets nyo kaya 350 lang and yung fixer na walang receipt. What if ipapadala from US to Phils? magkano kaya babayaran sa customs? Iba ba ang rate kung talagang inimport ko at di kasabay umuwi?

^ sis same lang din babayaran mo.. halos 350 pesos for import permit sa Bureau of animal industry. Ipakita mo sa naia quarantine office na meron kana nun  otherwise  sisingili ka ulit.. ganon hinawa saken nakita niya na may  import permit na ako ang ginawa inalis niya then gumawa bg panibago.. what the fudge diba??? ...

Grabe siningil ka uli? Sabi kasi ng friend ko may alam sya nag import ng doberman 10k daw singil sa customs..so malamang walang resibo yun?

Hi. To those who have tried to ship their pets domestic, does it need a permit from Bureau of Animal Industry or the certificate from your vet is enough?

so mas mura pag tayo mismo nagayos ng papers nila for import and export. kasi nagaask ako sa mga international breeders, mas mura kasi dogs nila at quality compared satin. pero ang quote sakin double or triple na yung price! yung mga puppies around 30-60k, pag inexport daw aabutin ng 100-130k! hindi naman pala dapat ganun.

Yes sis ganun talaga aabutin. Ako naman nag-order na ako nagiging double or triple talaga if you include the shipping expenses. I am not sure lang talaga how much babayaran sa customs. Kasi iba-iba sinasabi. Some were not taxed i guess mostly ofw sila pero for those who import i believe malaki ang tax kasi baka madali ng customs kaya pinahold ko muna yung shipment ng inorder ko na animal. Daoat kasi next week na yun.

^i thought hindi ganun kalaki aabutin since puppy lang at magaan lang sila. nung nalaman ko ang price, nagulat ako. mahilig ako sa aso and dream ko to breed my favorite breed someday, pero di kaya ng konsensya ko to spend 100k for a dog! sa daming animal cruelty na nangyayare, at neglected dogs, it's too much! I'd rather donate the money to animal welfare groups.

Kahit mahal ng binayad ko sa airline sa pag-ship ng dog ko super sulit naman kasi ngayon kasama na ng parents ko dog ko at masayang masaya naman siya kasi palaging nabibigyan ng atensyon kaya lang medyo spoiled sa lola overweight na tuloy.

Hi pet lovers!

I am going to the USA and I want to bring my cat with me. I definitely don't want to leave him behind. Does anybody know how I can go about this.
I know there are options to fly with your cat, but what I want to do is get settled first and send him after!

any help would be appreciated

^you will go through needle hole,  it's difficult but not impossible.. You better go to  Animal industry near UP its in visayas avenue they will give you some requirements to comply.  That's the best advise that I can give sis. As soon as possible asikasuhin muna. 2 months before you fly hehe.

sis, depende kase madalas may mga seat sale. most of the time, Cebu Pac ang maraming sale, abang abang ka lang

^sis, I think she was asking how much the fare will be for her pet and not for her as a passenger. 

@code_blue, better to contact the airline you'll be shipping your pet with directly. Iba-iba kasi ang rate nila as cargo. But same lang ang magiging computation i.e. volume weight or actual weight of the kennel with the pet inside. Whichever weight is higher ang magiging basis nila to compute the rate. Sa airline mo rin malalaman anong documentation need mo to transport your pet, once again iba-ibang airline iba-ibang requirement.

Hi Fur-parents!

I've successfully travelled a Bichon Frise I bought in MNL to Roxas City, Western Visayas after one failed attempt.
My pet and I are both on the same plane, he was my excess baggage
We flew PAL, T3.

Here's how I did it:

Airport:
At Terminal 3 I went to Animal Quarantine and got the green slip. I forgot what it's exactly called but it's an approval of NAIA and BAI to ship your dog from point A to point B.
#1 requirement to get the green slip is anti-rabies vaccine!
The officer didn't even inspect my pet. They're just really after the anti-rabies so as not to spread rabies all over the country.
Pet should be have anti-rabies vaccine at least 14 days of departure.
I also presented my pet's registration and health record.
Green slip is free, and no queue! It was a breeze.

Airline
PAL automatically charges pets as excess baggage even if you have unused baggage allowance.

In my case, 3.5 kg dog + airline crate, I paid Php 2,000 flat.
My dog in his crate was the first thing that landed on the conveyor belt and he was personally hand-carried by airport staff!
I felt so relieved since I read a horror story of pets dying on board the other airline!


My failed attempt:

I just bought the dog and although he has shots no rabies vaccine. We had to wait 14 days after getting the vaccine for shipping permit.

Airline: CEB
Airport didn't allow us to travel, so I took it to cargo.  They didn't ask for the green slip but they refused shipping because they have a fixed schedule for shipping live animals, something like 8-3pm and it was 4pm na.

How about if you're just going to buy a pet from another country tapos import dito sa ph? Baka kasi iba ang case nito and malaki ang bayaran sa custom. Knowing na sobrang corrupt talaga dito. The pet will be imported from Australia. Another option I have is ipasabay ko na lang sa pinsan ko na uuwi from Australia kaso nakakahiya lang baka pagdating dito maging hassle pa rin sa custom. Baka masmahal pa ang babayaran sa custom kesa sa pet.
