^First thing you do is check with your vet if your dog will be safe to travel after giving birth. If safe sya to travel immediately after giving birth, check with the concerned airline ano mga requirement nila. Different airlines have different requirements. You can ask na rin how much are their freight charge.
As to the kennels, you can get this at any pet store. Just make sure they are sturdy and the locks don't give way easily. Tip: get the screw type locks not the clip-ons. Also, the kennel should be roomy enough na your dog can stand and move around easily.

Hi! Correct si mama squeak regarding travel after birth.  Ngpaship ako ng dog and when I called sa Cebu Pac, I think, is P40 per kilogram weight ng dog (though Im not sure kung nafollow to).  Basta it costed me P560 for a 4-month bully. They will need medical records ng dogs especially yung Antirabies. Yung kennel binili ko lang din online.

^Pag inflight the concern is more the cold kaya importante the kennel's flooring is lined and the pet has a blanket to help them keep warm. Yung heat concern is more during the holding period before and after the flight. One has to make sure well ventilated and in the shaded area yung pinag-stambayan ng kennel waiting for it to be loaded/unloaded.

Importante din na meron silang water at all times. You can get water dispensers na kinakabit sa door ng kennel at any petshop.

ooh ok thanks, baka by june ko pa masama my shihtzu actually was planning on bring all 3 pati the chihuahua but if it's by weight i think mas makakatipid ako sa chi ko?!wala pa sha 1kg hehe but feeling ko kase ma stress sha so baka the 3y/o tzu lang bring ko she's the only girl din kase. if papa quarantine nga daw 3hours before the flight dapat mag checkin, pwede kaya bantayan ko yung dog para last one in, 1st one out sha sa baggages. someone told me din kc na ganoon daw dapat para di sha ma kulob sa loob.

^sis, the standard of computing the charges will be based either on the gross weight (bigat) of the kennel with the pet inside or the volume weight (laki/measurement) ng kennel. Whichever amount is higher ang gagamitin sa computation ng charges.

Depends on the airline you'll be flying with some will allow all three pets in one kennel with the following conditions:

1.) kennel is big enough for all the pets to stand, turn around and lie down.
2.) pets have been living together in one household so no danger na mag-aaway sila inflight.

Pagdating naman sa loading, nasa bukana parati ang mga pets. Hindi sila pwedeng tabunan ng baggage or cargo. Usually meron talagang designated na pwesto para sa mga pets sa belly ng aircraft. So, last to load and first to unload sila.

at PAL sis, a dog should at least be 3 and a half months old with a kennel box. they require papers like vaccination papers. last month, nagpadala ako lab puppy through PAL bound for davao.. 790php ang total fees ko.. don't declare lang the actual value ng puppy, example for the lab, ang bili sakin is 15k, declare mo lang 10k para di nila taasan ang fee ng puppy.. well, i am not sure sa cebu pacific how much rates nila.

^sis yung sinasabi mo is the valuation charge in short insurance in case something happens to the pet. Hanggang sa amount lang na dineclare mo ang babayaran nila.

^I know sad nga  . I can just imagine what you're going through. If you have friends or relatives in Singapore who you can ask to temporarily adopt your dog sana. Or check what other countries ang AQIS approved na meron kang mapapagiwanan.

pwede ba sa cabin ang dog? and what airlines ang pumapayag? hand carry lang ba siya or as a passenger(na you have to purchase the seat)?

^yes, there's AVIH or "animal in hold"...and there's also PETC or pet in cabin. In the airline where I used to work for, we allow both cases. Just minimal difference in procedure and requirements. A lot of my passengers (especially transpacific ones) do PETC. the animal still needs to be in a proper kennel/container and need not purchase a seat for it, though there is still a corresponding fee, of course.

by the way, is it safer to transport shih tzu dogs by boat than by plane? from the horror stories i read online re domestic travel of pets parang i don't want to take a risk. me and my hubby have never travelled together by boat and i know it takes longer and ironically more expensive but it might be worth the sacrifice?

I'd like to know also if there's an airline that would allow dogs in the main cabin, manila to usa. Ayoko din ilagay sa cargo yung pet ko if ever.

In the usa there is pet airways. They only fly pets pero in the main cabin. Currently, domestic flights palang sila. Sana nga mag expand internationally and kasama phils.

^Yes, there are airlines that offer this service. I used to have quite a number of passengers with PETC (pet in cabin) who travel from MNL to the US. I even handled a case once, while at the gate, the passenger's dog wore a diaper with a cutout for the tail muna.  I don't remember exactly what the requirements are. It's something around the dimensions and weight of a handcarried baggage lang dapat....pet AND carrier. It's been a couple of years since I last worked. Better contact the airline directly. BTW, this was my experience at Korean Air but my last company was Qatar Airways.

EDITED: I checked the current KE regulations...check this link...btw, sa KE, we don't allow two or more pets in one carrier/kennel...1:1 lang...

^For CX, we don't allow pets in cabin unless they are seeing eye dogs.
