Check out sulit.com There are china made GPS with Garmin software including the updated Philippine map.

I bought one in US for ony $100 garmin na touchscreen.. tuwang tuwa ako kaso when I got here sa pinas.. wala akong madownload na phil map! sabi ng friend ko bumili daw sya ng memory card sa Greenhills na me phil map pero ang mahal... inabot ng 4k! somebody help pls.. pano download sa torrent?

^I'm using a Garmin Nuvi 205. Coming from a generic China GPS, the Nuvi is actually better as it doesn't hang or go memory full all of a sudden. Lots of options pa if you register the unit at the Garmin website.

I have a contributor's edition ng map although last year pa sya updated. It's under 50MB lang. AFAIK, you need to load two files in .IMG format. Connect your garmin unit to your pc then look for the Garmin folder and load the two files. Turn on your garmin GPS and select the loaded map. Voila!

Got it from a friend sa states. Around 100USD din. Pero here they're selling at at 6-7k

been using garmin nuvi each for both cars. updated naman ang street names and landmarks here in manila. but yet to identify most provincial roads.

^ d ako sure sa prices sis pero the last time i talked to my hubby, nilalalaunch pa lang nila is 12k yata tapos you can update the maps from their website.

Works well all the time. Di pa namin natry sa province, though.

Robinson's Forum in Pioneer, yung appliance center nila dun. Although I saw a CarNavi stall in Cyberzone, Megamall and in Robinson's Galleria.

predownloaded yung map, upgradable din for free daw. hindi pa namin na uupdate.
feedback pala, nahuli kami once pumasok kami sa one-way road. dun kami pinaliko ng GPS

and sa Makati nalilito sya lalo na sa Paseo de Roxas. Buti na lang kabisado ko roads dun. Wala rin direction in Rodriguez, Rizal.

^gps is a big help for us lalo na sa mga unfamiliar roads and with no local to guide us. like the time we went to mindoro en route to bora and to panay, negros and cebu and back and the time we went to banaue rice terraces.

^ sobrang malaking help, kasi you can detour anytime you want. not necessary na sundin mo sya all the time, more or less reference lang. I use garmin too, ka size lang siya ng Iphone. A must na dala ko siya lagi whenever I go to a certain place na di ko alam..
