mga sis ano ba ok na theme for a boy's 7th birthday party? im thinking of mad science, sports, magical..hmmm..ano pa kaya? not sana the usual themes or activities since bigger kids ang invited.

My sons also had a football-themed party on their 3rd birthday in time for the World Cup. I incorporated the theme through the decorations (we had Zakumi, the World Cup mascot, as a standee), I gave soccer balls as prizes for one of the games (using the same balls, thanks to Beverly who devised a game using the balls), soccer player figures (got them at a steal from a toy store) were included in the loot bag and table centerpieces, etc.  Oh and my kids were wearing soccer jerseys!  It was a fun fun party.

^ Since your child is 7, you can have a game like Guess the Football Player (just download photos of famous footballers and print them), a football trivia game conducted in q& a format (you can have this as a father and son game), etc.  You can decorate the venue with the colors of famous football clubs ( in our case, since WC, we had flags of countries participating in the tournament all over the venue).

Maraming generic football-themed toys in toy stores.  You just have to look very well and give yourself enough time to look before the party. 

The game we had involving the soccer balls was mild dribbling, holding the ball above the head, passing the ball, etc.  it was fun for the small and big kids.

My daughter's 7th birthday is Feb next year pa pero I'm so excited that I wanna plan it as early as now. I'm thinking kasi na by the time mag-18 na siya baka they'll find having debut party "baduy" na.

^ We are in the same dilemma sis. I'm thinking whether to throw a party for my son or trip na lang kami. May mga considerations kasi ako like most of our friends are in a different country, so closest friends & family lang talaga ang maiinvite namin. Plus, my son's bday falls on summer vacation so kahit mga classmates nya mahirap mainvite. Name your reasons or factors kung bakit ayaw mo magpa bday party..if not, you don't have to feel guilty or regretful. You know it better and you'll be the one to decide.

my son is also turning 7yrs. old this july. i'm torn between giving him a party and bringing him to hongkong disneyland.

budget ko is 70k for his party. well binuyo kasi ako ng mga tao sa paligid ko. sabi nila yan daw more or less ang magagastos. so yan ang nilaan ko for that. yung iba nga daw 100k (over naman).

but seeing all these group deals and airline promos, napaisip tuloy ako kung mag hongkong na lang kame tapos i-shopping ko na lang siya.

ano po sa tingin niyo?? magsisi ba ako kung hindi ko siya nabigyan ng party?

sis, i suggest you bring him to hongkong disneyland.  your 70k might just be enough to throw away for your whole 4days/3 nights trip but go there by end of winter ( end march) it's still very cold now.

@amethyst028 'yun siguro ang dilemma ng lalaki ang anak. Ako kasi babae ang anak ko kaya siya mismo ang nagre-request ng party. Ngayong 6th bday nga niya siya pa ang gumawa ng "invitation" isinulat lang nya eh. Na-try ko na din i-HK Disneyland Resort siya when she was 4y.o. kaya mas gusto na niya mag-party na lang this time. Anyway 'yung last party na we celebrated her bday was when she turned 1y.o. pa.

@chiqmom saan ang venue mo sis? Scouting for venue pa lang ako hehe.

I suggest naman mga sis, kung ano ang gusto ng mga anak ninyo Like sa akin, I asked her, ano ang gusto niya, sabi niya swimming party, so ayun yung ginawa namin kahapon, stories and pics, sa swimming party thread ko pinost.

Sa travel naman, dinala na namin siya sa Hongkong disneyland, ocean park and Macau nung 6 years old siya, hindi nga lang tapat sa birthday niya. This April na mahal na araw, dadalhin namin siya ng singapore, then sa May 2012, punta kaming south korea with my brother.


Point ko lang, lahat naman ng bagay, pwede nating ibigay, kung party man yan, travel or what, mahalaga kung magiging masaya sila sa mismong araw nila

oh my.  my eldest is also turning 7 this year.  i told him last year that i'll take him to disneyland na lang kesa magparty and he agreed naman.  kaso when his classmates started having bday parties, gusto na daw niya ng party.  eh nakabook na kami sa hk this march.  hay.  anyway, i'm planning a small party na lang.  problem ko lang, ang hirap magi-isip ng theme.  ang fave kasi niya is boboi boy from disney channel.  i think this is malaysian...so for sure wala sa divi ng mga items na ganyan.  =/  ang hirap talaga pagboys.
