^oo nga e tataas daw yung friend ko na nasa trading yun din ang sabi pero sa kanyang ko lang nalaman na may mga golds na government issue and non-government issued. And yung government issued lang ang talagang may halaga kapag nagkagipitan na. I'm so happy to know na yung mga binili ko e government issued.

Hi! My mom passed away two years ago. She is a collector of different jewelries, diamonds, pearls, gold. You name it! She's a walking diamond even before! Ako, i never liked them, maybe because they are too flashy, diamonds are too big.. E im not that kind of girl (yep! I know.. Weird right) now, i want to know the value of each jewelry, not that i want to sell them.. But at least i know how high or low their value. Her babies is stucked in our safe by the way. No one's using them. unles may formal occassions.

Do you guys know somehow who i can trust to look at them, tapos magbigay ng quote or range ng value niya? By the way, we live in meycauayan bulacan (makers of jewelries) kaya siguro naadik mom ko magpagawa ng mga alahas. Thanks!!

kung mga diamonds sis mas maganda ipakilatis mo sa mlhuillier sa main branch nila sa makati.  ang alam ko kasi pagdiamond ang isangla sa mlhuillier sa main branch mismo, di kumikilatis ng diamond yung mga branches ang nila.

Tumaas Ang mga Italy and 18k gold.  Almost 400 din within 2 months! Grabe mahal na now o kya xmas [textspeak!] kaya nag mahal!

^ Mabilis talga tumaas ang value ng Italian Gold sis. Kaya magandang investment yun at collection na din. Magaganda na designs at totoong nag-appreciate ang value.

i bought gold in SG 5 mos ago. sinangla ko sya last week here sa manila. lo and behold, mas mahal pa ang sangla kesa sa purchase cost ko. the reasons were 1, gold appreciation and 2, cheaper lang talaga sa ibang bansa ang gold. now, i realized, this is really a good investment.

Mga sis san pwede makabili ng mga loose gems na authentic, may mga loose golds kasi ako galing sa mga pinareset kong jewelries at yung ibang hikaw na nag-iisa na lang dahil nawala yung kapares. May design na ako gusto ko sana magpagawa ng hikaw for my daughter. Gusto ko sana birthstone nya.

I don't think it's a good investment. Of course the alahera will say that the jewelry appreciates in value but it's not true at all times.. Unless it's like an heirloom piece, I'd rather invest my money elsewhere..

i believe in this. my grandma used to collect jewelries.. gold, loose stones, sets. when she gold older, she sold them (not pawned) and she was able to buy a townhouse for herself. this was in the 90's.

my mom naman is an avid fan of jewelry and she bought a lot. ngayon, she has given me my share kasi i recently got married and yung mga nabili niya before ng 200-300k, nasa 500k na. she was able to use it pa and enjoy the pieces. lahat kaming siblings may natabi na siya so she doesn't have to buy anymore. one of her friend's daughter is getting married this year and ngayon lang namimili and when they compared the prices, super big difference na.

i also like jewelry and i invest in nice pieces. nice meaning bigger cuts and overall better quality and mas mabigat.

also, i guess you lose a lot when you pawn it kasi the pawnshop needs to make a profit. it can easily be sold if you know people in the industry or have friends or a network who is into it. my mom was able to sell some pieces na ayaw na niya at a profit tapos na enjoy pa niya.
