Hello girls! I've been searching around for tips or the best engagement ring from Tiffany's (for my girlfriend) and stumbled upon your thread. It seems that you girls are all experts here so I think I can get tips from any of you.

May I ask .. if the Tiffany's in Manila sells engagement rings?

Also, I've looked at Tiffanys website and found so many rings to choose from, I don't know which one to get. I'm kinda feeling for Tiffany Novo and Tiffany Harmony. I'm feeling more for Harmony because it's kinda shaped like infinity and gives more meaning. But Novo is more elegant, I guess? What do you guys think? Would u be able to give me your opinion?

^They sell engagement rings but I know it's an order basis. I think they have some engagement rings on display. Call them to confirm first.

Have you tried to check/spy what your girlfriend likes? Or is it really a surprise? Ako kase i'm vocal sa kung anong gusto ko lalo na if I know na mahal.  So I had make sure hubby knew what I wanted. Na-surprise pa din naman ako at the end.

With your options, I prefer the harmony because I prefer isang malaking bato lang and I prefer a round cut diamond.  But both rings are lovely!

The only thing with the harmony, parang dapat sa tiffany mo din bibilhin ang wedding band para sakto sa engagement ring, ie walang gap between engagement ring and e-ring. curve kase ang band ng harmony so mahirap ternuhan.

its very dainty, but the diamonds although they're pavé, it's really shiny. bought it in los angeles 1.9k plus tax

We'll be getting our platinum milgrain wedding bands here!! Buti na lang pagsukat ni h2b sa ring, gandang ganda sya bwahaha ayoko kasi magsabi kasi mahal pero sya na mismo naginsist dahil lifetime naman daw hihi pero we realized mas mura abroad, actually pinakamura sa narita! Dun nya bibilhin yung sakin, pero yung kanya sa hk kasi no size sya sa japan, tapos paengrave na lang namin dito.. Kulit nya nga pagkabili daw nya, gusto na nya suotin, naadik lang? Terno daw kasi sa rolex nya..

Naku sis, if you're going to buy, buy abroad. Ang laki ng tax dito sa Tiffany sa Pilipinas. As in 40% yata.

For example yung gusto kong celebration ring is priced at $2,500 online on the Tiffany website, so dapat mga P110,000. Gulat ako when I asked sa Tiffany Makati -- they're selling it for P160,000! Laki talaga ng taxes.

I saw the same ring sa Tiffany Singapore-Changi airport selling for the same online price. Maganda bumili sa airports kasi duty free. Laki ng difference.

I'm browsing online and ended up here, thanks for all the tips so far. Mas mura pala sa Duty Free and Abroad, grabe talaga taxes dito satin...

Question lang, if you buy it abroad, how do you get past customs? 
sinusuot nyo nalang agad yun rings to avoid the taxes?
I know kasi sometimes they ask if you have items above 10k php to declare.

Yes you can wear it if you want or just put it in your handbag. They don't check naman
