I use agoda among other hotel booking sites. though minsan, mas mura dun sa ibang site, so pag yung hotel mas mura sa agoda, I go for agoda, else, dun sa kabila. lol

Do you guys use PayPal? I made a booking where the rates were in peso but come invoice ng PayPal, in dollars na so not much savings versus booking directly sa hotel

^ CC sa pinas ang gamit ko tuwing mag bobook ako sa agoda sis eh. haven't tried Paypal yet.

Hindi ko masyadong bet 'yung mga participating hotel sa upgrade promo nila. :|

Used Agoda to book a hotel for our upcoming trip. Rates are ok naman, halos same lang with Booking.com. They won't charge anything until 1 week prior to your stay. I prefer booking directly to the hotel sana but I'm not comfortable giving my credit card information via email.

^ I also use my local CC instead of Paypal. Did not know mataas pala FX conversion rates nila. :/

^ agree ako jan sis angelholic, i love their no cancellation fee if you call to their customer service to request for the cancellation..
I have done it for several times for the past 2 months..

I booked a room for our palawan tour last month and used my amex card..  I had to cancel because the charges automatical converts to USD instead of PHP.. after 3 consecutive cancellation request I've resorted to use my citicard instead.. it seems that the problem is my amex card.. and they didn't charge me any cancellation fees..

then just last week, i found out that the room i booked for our hk trip, had a special 25% discount, because another friend wants to join the trip.. what i did is I asked for cancellation again over the phone, because i'm upgrading it to family room..
But, what happened is this, when I told her that I am about to rebook our accomodation, she changed her mind again.. so I rebooked the same room again, this time at a lower rate (about php300/night difference), but I forgot to click the paylater option..
I immediately called their customer service again to request for cancellation and refund.. they immediately do the cancellation without fees and processed the refund after 2 days 

I am super happy for this service.. customer satisfaction indeed..
i am even glad to fill out their customer satisfaction survey, everytime I made a request, so that their admin will know the reasons of my cancellation and how i am satisfied with their customer service...

i just tried booking through agoda and selected the option to pay directly sa hotel since i am not comfortable giving my CC info online.. how do i confirm yung booking? they sent me an email as a confirmation kaso takot ako baka pagdating ko sa hotel they will not honor my booking? thanks

Hello, just want to ask kasi there this option of booking for a lower rate then there's this regular rate. The lower rate says hindi na pwedeng icancel or non-refundable while the higher rate has the option to cancel. I am planning to kasi to book via agoda, just want to check if my experience kayo in booking for a non-refundable rate? Can you give some tips kung paano makakakuha pa ng discount? First time Agoda user ako. Thanks.

^ Sometimes local credit cards have Agoda promotions on certain establishments.
I have used the 7-10% BPI credit card discount many times.

Other tips
- Always check fine print, especially breakfast inclusions (I tend to think Agoda promotions usually don't include breakfast)
- you can credit certain airline miles when you book with Agoda (if I'm not mistaken, they are Air Asia, Emirates, among others)

One question again- have you had any experience booking for the lower rate but no cancellation policy? I am based kasi abroad and will return on Dec pa and I am always checking Agoda. Sometimes the rate is super low but since 5 months pa more before we go home, I am hesitant to book the lower rate. Would it be better if I will book it a week prior to our flight? And when they say no-cancellation policy does it means if in case the trip won't push through, we won't be able to refund it? Thanks again.

^Ako sis nagtry ako magbook ng low rate no cancellation policy room nila. Ayaw nila magcancel they will ask you to contact the property directly and make the arrangement then contact Agoda just in case the property agreed to cancel. Issue ko is under maintenance ang pool and we were not informed about it pero wala silang ginawa.

Mas gusto ko service ng Hotels.com kasi kahit within the cancellation period na the cust reps will contact the property and check if they can cancel the room without charging the customer's card. Di man maging successful ang attempt ng rep atleast sinubukan niya. Pero base on experience ko with hotels.com naka-cancel naman ang booking without charging my card.

Recently tried booking a hotel thru Agoda. Booking.com and traveloka lang kasi ako usually. Much cheaper yung nakuha kong hotel rate when I compared kaya happy ako. Laki ng natipid ko.

Good experience naman ang mga bookings ko thru agoda. May 1 time nagtitingin lang ako ng final cost biglang tumuloy kasi may credit  card nakong naka input from previous bookings. No cancellation non refundable pa naman but i tried calling agoda.  Best ang customer service nila, na cancel ang booking at na reverse  charge sa credit card ko within 48 hours.

We have tried booking through agoda for a local hotel and the experience was good. Agoda is under the umbrella company where booking.com also belongs to so most of the time, price are with minimal difference.  The competitor of Agoda is the companies under expedia
