Agoda Booking online

Most of my hotel stays are booked through Agoda. Mas mura kumpara sa ibang booking websites na nakikita ko at so far wala akong naging problema sa Agoda

Booked through Agoda for our Singapore trip in April. Totally my first time to use their service. Having read through all the posts, I am starting to feel at ease that all will be well for our trip!!!

Hi sis question, pano ba iavail yung point system nila? kasi walang umappear sakin eh. Sayang naman yung mga bookings ko umaabot na 30k and more pa kasi lagi ako travel. Pahelp naman po. Salamat.

^ parang wala na yung points system nila. Matagal ko na nanotice wala rin sa account ko.

I checked the rewards program with Agoda support. I used Agoda a lot for a time specifically for the rewards, because I read it in their FAQ section. After over a thousand $ worth of hotels booked with them, I still could not see my points. This is their disappointing response:

We wish to inform you that as of the 1st April 2014 the Agoda rewards program is no longer open to new members. However, we value our customers, and members who log in on our website not only have access to special member rates and insider deals, but through our newsletters they also receive discount opportunties that they may use for future bookings.

Wala na nga yatang points for the new bookings.. pero I can still see my unused points (roughly $75 worth pa unused ko) whenever i make a new booking and may option pa din to use my remaining points to pay for my new booking..

It is very vital to keep checking Agoda nga every once in a while.
Based on a recent experience, my booking initially cost over 12K.
Then today, I just decided to pay the site a visit to see if the prices have one up as the date is nearing... to my surprise, the cost went down to just over 10K instead, so I immediately cancelled the initial booking and opted to book the lower rate. Since April pa our trip, I will check back maybe next week or in two weeks again... for all we know, the rate might even dive further *fingers crossed!*

I've had very good deals with agoda recently.
I booked our hotels for Japan with them and so far, within budget pa naman. Their rates are very competitive. Thumbs up!

Now, I suddenly have a question. For the booking I made... I forgot to choose the option that says charge my credit card at a later date. I wanted to know if anyone has tried charging their credit card to confirm a booking then later decided to cancel? No cancellation fee naman, but I wanted to see lang how prompt they are in terms of refunding payments made? TIA!

^sa experience ko, if yung pinili kong option is to charge my cc right away, free ang cancellation. Pero pag charge later, they charge 15USD for cancellation.

Free rebooking sila for either options.

^ For this particular booking, I booked twice and chose the charge later option. In both cases, free naman when I cancelled. When I did the third booking because the price point went significantly low, that's when I forgot to change the option to charge later. Regardless, naisip ko nalang na okay na ako sobra dun sa rate na nakuha ko. I feel like, how else can it go any lower? Regardless, I can always lean on Agoda's Lowest Price Guarantee, so I can just use that if ever may miracle na mangyari and talagang further mag reduce pa yung pricing ng hotel namin. Though, I highly doubt it! Thanks for the input, sis simang. All this booking on my own, is driving me nuts!

We've used Agoda more than twice, both local and abroad, okay naman. I know this is out of topic but I don't want to start a new thread. I'm checking Trip Advisor and may lumabas kasi na suggestion, www.otel.com parang cheapest siya sa lumabas sa search ko. Has anyone tried it? Parang bago lang kasi..

We have used agoda a couple of times, and so far satisfied with our hotel choices. I haven't tried to rebook when we experienced the typhoon last time we were in HK kasi regal hotel just upgraded us to suites to cover the charges.  Ok narin I suppose.

Doon mismo sa mga naka list na rooms hindi naman kasi sa lahat nang rooms available yung pay later na option.
