I  recently cancelled my booking at agoda , i used the self service cancellation

they sent me a quick reply for the computation and the 15% cancellation fee.

i followed it up  with an e mail requesting to waive the cancellation fee  citing some reasons 

they replied that my request was granted

so happy with it

I will  avail of their services again  in the near future

^ true that. Cancelled with them several times too. We had to cancel first sched namin ng Italy trip one day before kami aalis kasi nagka-family emergency. Sinabi ko reason ng cancellations and sa 3 hotels na kinansel ko, walang kahit piso na cancellation fee.

Aliw din pag nagagamit ko yung rewards points para maka-discount sa hotel booking. Kaya I generally book via Agoda. Unless me better package pag direct sa hotel nag-reserve.

^sis gano katagal mo na rcvd refund,

 yung total amount that  was debited ba or the prevailing rate ng bank ?

^ hmm.. Yung cancellations ko yata e hindi prepaid booking so no need for refund processing..

question lang po regarding agoda booking. 2600 lang kasi yung price nya then nung nabook ko na naging 3000. same price lang din pag direct sa hotel. pwede ko pa icancel yung booking ko then hindi na sya ibabawas sa credit card ko?

^ Before ka mag-input ng credit card details makikita naman sa may right side yung total charges e (including the taxes, etc). So if di ka ok sa total cost, no need to input yung cc details na, just cancel.

^ depends yata sa rate na napili mo. Pag prepaid, charged na agad. Pag hindi naman, madali lang icancel. Check the "booking conditions" ng na-book mo.

Pero if same price ng direct sa hotel, bakit ika-cancel mo pa?

sis yung sinasabi mo ma 2,600 then naging 3k, siguro di mo napansin yung added taxes, kasi ganun talaga for instance, 2,600 / night, then sa total  computation  i add mo yun ,  baka di mo napansin ,,

pero ang alam ko kasi before nag a appear yung  the total computation and the breakdown

kasi ang agoda naman walang hidden charges,,, pero na try ko na din yang asiarooms sometimes pareho lang sila ng agoda, sa pricing , mganda lang sa agoda if you are a frequent traveler e me points ka to be collected/use later on...

Not always, sis.. Nakapag-book na din ako sa Agoda na sa hotel na ako nagbayad.. Pero madalas pag yung "flash deals" nila i-book mo, prepaid yun so charge agad sa cc..

para magamit ko pa yung cc, hehe

Ako naman, minsan gusto ko na naka-charge na agad sa cc. Para sa time ng byahe e bawas sa gastos. Na-distribute ang ibang expenses sa previous months so di masyadong mabigat sa bulsa. Hehe..

yung 15% cancellation kase nila... sa inn or hotel napupunta yun. depende kung ilan ang percentage nila na discount sa hotels/inn/resort. so dapat sure ka sa bookings mo sa kanila or else... may charge. kase charge din sila ng partners nila.

^^ minsan nga mas mganda yung charge na agad sa cc para less hassle na

kya lang ako 3 months before the travel period kung mag book ,, e I always choose pa the dollar rate

Pareho tayo, sis bagaholic_chewy. Ayokong magdala ng maraming cash pag nagta-travel, at ayoko rin na sabay sabay ang gastos, kaya maaga ako mag-book ng hotel.

good news  I received the refund from Agoda , I cancelled my hotel res. last dec.1

and yes they  gave  back the full amount,,,

good for you sis. usually maibabalik talaga nila in full.. lalo na kapag yung partner hotel nila hindi mahigpit sa cancellation policy. it usually depends sa cancellation policy ng hotel partner yan.

Hello I need help, first time ko kasi mabook sa agoda. I booked an international hotel, nabigay na sa akin confirmation from agoda... tanong ko lang kasi ang nakalagay dun sa booking status ay "booking charged" yun ba talaga dapat nakalagay dun? meaning confirmed na siya? I also made some special requests kaya lang paano ko ba malalaman kung confirmed na yun? do i really have to make an international call directly to the hotel to confirm?
