^ Hi sis, how are you doing naman in ADB?  Would you know if continuous pa rin hiring nila kahit may current tax issue ngayon? na settle na kaya un? I have a pending application kasi and still praying hard na sana maging positive ang result. Feeling ko kasi freeze hiring sila ngayon eh.

Nakapasa na ako ng exam and naghihintay na lang ng schedule ng interview. after kasi ng recommendation sa akin na shortlist na ako. Kaso dahil sa issue ng tax for ADB Filipino Staff medyo pending muna...Malaking issue sya ngayon...because ADB Filipino staff should pay their taxes. Although ADB is a tax free under UN Umbrella, but as a Filipino who resides and as a citizen of the Philippines, we are oblige to pay taxes.

^^ I already accepted the offer sis..same rate din kasi when I went abroad dati..hehe..Just list down all your priorities then ilagay mo sa pros and cons..yan din ginawa ko kasi im going to start a family now kaya benefits din iniisip ko..kaso in my side naman, mas mabilis akong makakaipon dito, and im still young pa naman and hopefully remain healthy for the next couple of years..And for career growth kasi, mas madami naman ako natututunan dito so gora nalang ako..ang sarap pa ng foods sa cafeteria

^ Ang hirap ng situation mo sis. If I have to decide, I will consider my goal of what I really want to be in  10 years. (thinking of long term) where growth is possible together with joyful benefits and rewards. Pero if for experience, winner talaga ang ADB.  Pero if you want to settle na and grow with a company, isipin mo din yung stability ang growth mo. I know someone na contractual sa ADB but then immediately became a regular employee. She's good siguro kaya she was given an offer.

If winner naman yung counter offer ng company mo, and if you don't see any cons pa plus you see yourself with them for good, why not accept it?

Its really hard if ADB ang one of the options.

Yes, nakatulong. thank you sobra. and you're right, kung ibang company lang 'to madali naman magdecide.   Opportunity knocks on your door once, so if I turn this one down baka wala nang susunod. Pero ang laki ng risk kasi contractual at lalo na if regular employee ka na sa current company mo. Well, I'm still young pa naman... 25 (bata pa na naman yun di ba LOL) and no plans yet to start a family in the next 3 years.

As of the moment, I'm still contemplating. 2 days left to decide. :|

Sis grintea, almost same age lang pala tayo, and yes we are young!  I liked what you said na opportunity knocks on your door once, malay mo nga you will regret it forever if you will take this one down. Saka take note ha, not all are given a chance (out of thousands) kahit ma invite lang to take an exam, some are are really good and with exceptional background, pero until now no invitation pa din. So you are really lucky to have given this opportunity and ma-reach mo yung stage na yan na may JO ka na. Ang sarap kaya ng feeling nun. 

Ako, I am still waiting for another invitation. I didn't get the first position kasi.  So I'm still praying hard na ma invite again.

I think it's best to avoid making comments regarding the tax issue. And no, ADB is not under UN.

Ako lang yata ang di naging happy sa working experience sa adb.toxic yung department na napuntahan ko.kung magaway ang mga oldies,very unprofessional.away trabaho,nagppersonalan and di nahihiya magsigawan.very distracting.super discriminated din pakiramdam ko (i was a contractual btw).1230 lang pwede pumasok sa canteen,pag may nawala e sa contractuals agad ang turo.there was a time na yung pregnant teammate ko,dun sa entrance ng visitors,pinataas ang blouse just to make sure na pregnant tummy talaga at di nagnakaw ng kung ano.iyak si officemate nun.basta ito lang ang napasukan ko na di ako naging happy.bright side is ok talaga tingnan sa resume.

@grintea09 - sa IT ako sis na dept naassign..as of my almost 3 mos stay sa adb, all of my kateam are mabait naman..ako lang kasi girl sa group..hehe..they still guide me and give me advice pag may tinatanong ako sa about sa work..so far so good naman ako..

@evilwoman -same tayo sis dept, pero malaki masyado ang IT e..oo nga, naloka din ako sa trato nila sa contractors, pero keri ko pa naman kasi most of my kateam naman are contractors din kaya may karamay din..

for those who used to work as consultant in ADB, pag wala pa narereceive na notice to proceed pero may offer na
does it mean good as hired ka na with the offer lang?

sis, need pa din ng notice to proceed (ntp) para sure. usually pag may offer na, mabilis na yung ntp
