I also applied in ADB around more than a month ago pero after nun kinalimutan ko na ang application ko. Pinagdadasal ko na lang na sana matawagan ako for an exam.. Congrats to our sisses here na nakapasok. Ok ba ang pay? and true din ba na pati ang food sa cafeteria ay subsidized?

Entry-level positions (the ones with “assistant” on the position title) are mostly Levels AS3 to AS5. Those with “officer” on the position title are Levels NS1 to NS6.

As to meals being subsidized, we don’t really call it subsidy pero we have this “meal of the day” for P55 (this is not just for ADB staff – consultants and contractors alike can avail of this). There’s also a variety of food in the cafeteria (mostly international cuisines) which are considerably cheaper than when you go to restos outside. We have Figaro, San Francisco Coffee and Starbucks na tax-free and prices.

How about those with ""Administrator" in title? From what I heard AS6 (if there is such a level). What level is that?

my friend works here as an admin asst and true matagal ang application process. nagsubmit lang sya sa cv databank ng resume nya at after 1 yr pa sya tinawagan. pero ng nakapasok sya, immediate naman yung start.

maganda daw talaga pay at medical benefits. at sa position nya d naman daw ganun kadami ginagawa nya. medyo mapurol na nga raw english nya kasi puro "how many copies sir?" , "who's on the line?" ang sinasabi nya. hehe pero oks na rin daw. i think dapat at least nakapag MA ka para maging qualified ka kahit entry-level position lang. yung friend ko 5 yrs experience na sya nun at nagttake ng MA.

I applied for a position here -- IT specialist... 'til now my application status is still "Under Referral". Nakakainip, though I still look forward to an opportunity here. If it's true that others take a year, apply muna ko sa iba hehe. Good luck to all of us!

Just a few questions to those in ADB already. Are they still open to negotiations on the PRELIMINARY salary offer? Or better yet, after passing all character references and medical evaluation.

I actually dont work at ADB, but I work in an organization similiar to it and these types of orgs (govt orgs, humanitarian orgs, NGOs, etc) dont do negotiations as they have a fixed salary scale para transparent lahat. Pero I could be wrong.

afaik fixed ang entry level, but if you're applying for level 8 or 9 siguro, i think pwede, not sure lang coz i dont know anyone from our HR eh

hi sis! how about the "Specialist"? What level is that?

^^ sis pag me "specialist" ang title, mga international staff na to (the expats and a few pinoys).

^ sis, you may check the website (staff vacancies) from time to time. Usually, me openings for CPAs sa Controller's Department and Office of the Auditor General. tama ba sis lelila? hindi naman always required na me Master's Degree.
