^sis, one of the option is to take the night bus from osaka to tokyo, have the mt. fuji tour and then go back to osaka. you can wash up sa mga rest stations. medyo pagod nga lang but adventure in itself na rin, imo.

Natry mo na yung ganun trip sis?  and if ever ba what time normally yung mga nightbus leaving Osaka and how much is the cost?  Kasi sayang naman if we buy JR pass tapos we go to Tokyo for 1 day and MT Fuji 1 day din, parang hinde yata sulit yung halos 50K (php) na additional cost (JR pass and day tour from Tokyo).

Hope you can share possible ways to go there.  5D/5N lang pala kami.... THanks sis!

^yes, sis... halos lahat ng gala ko in japan, i used the night bus. maximize na yun travel time at the same time nakakalibre na ng hotel. marami naman lipovitan/energy drink kasi syempre, di naman comfortable mag-sleep sa bus

Sis salamat for sharing, I'm wondering if we can travel on the same night na touch down namin, mga around 8pm sa kansai, meron kaya derecho na punta ng mt. Fuji. Grabe dapat pack lit kami.

Meron pala ganito. I'm also planning on traveling right after I arrive in Osaka. Ang nakita ko na sleeper bus that leaves for Tokyo is yung Seishun Ladies Dream night bus. It leaves before midnight ata. Gusto ko kasi yung ganon na bus para pang babae lang, at least mas comfortable makatulog kahit mahirap naman makatulog sa bus. hehe

^^i suggest you store your things sa mga coin lockers. meron sa mga big stations (na mostly pick up stations din ng mga bus) para di kayo mahirapan.  me route from osaka to shizuoka prefecture where mt. fuji is sa willerexpress up to numazu station. how to navigate from there, di ko sure how kasi from shinjuku station kami and depende rin kung ano gusto ninyo route (hakone trail or yun sa 5th station).

Must-visit places in Kyoto:

Kinkakuji or The Golden Pavilion (parang this is their official landmark)
Ginkakuji or The Silver Pavilion (the color is not silver at all)
Fushimi-Inari Taisha shrine (love it!)
Kyoto Imperial Palace (nothing appealing though. mas gusto ko yung Imperial Palace sa Tokyo)
JR Kyoto Station (love the architecture and its interior is amazing)
Gion (if you're lucky, you can see geishas or geikos on their way to tea houses)
Kiyomizu-dera (best time to go is early morning to avoid the crowd)

Kyoto has a charm of its own. It's the old capital of Japan. Thus old shrines and temples are preserved well.

Hi mga sisses! Almost decided na to take osaka/kyoto/nara 5D trip sa 1st week ng Mar. Question lang po, yung nakapunta po same time (1st week ng Mar), rainy po ba sa ganoong period? Meron bang place na meron snow na pwedeng puntahan? How much po normally yung per meal per head? For transpo anong magandang pass o card na dapat bilhin na pwedeng kyoto at osaka at pwedeng gamitin sa airport? Sensya na po daming questions, pero hoping na meron makasagot.  Thanks po ulit!

^went there first week of march. malamig but not really rainy and wala na rin halos snow. super konti na lang yung snow and when it hits the ground, natutunaw na agad but yes, you will still see snow especially in the train from osaka to kyoto =).

normally wheh it comes to food, we don't have a budget. the thing is, if you are in japan, never put budget on the food kasi you will miss a lot! as in splurge on food talaga kasi super sarap especially in osaka's dotonbori. i had the best ramen ever in osaka. its called ichiran osaka near the bridge in dotonbori.

as for the train ticket, just ride the local train. mas ma-eenjoy mo yun kasi you'll get to mingle with the locals =)

Thanks sis vhanya, wondering lang kung meron pang places na covered pa rin ng ices or snow? Thinking also of staying in kyoto for 2N and 3N in Osaka mas okay ba yun kesa staying 5N sa Osaka and just doing a day trip in Kyoto and Nara? Do we need to buy ba JR pass or suica pass para tipid sa fare? Meron place sa Osaka na same ng akihibara ng mura ang techies? Daming questions pero thanks in advance for sharing.

^yup mas ok na yan than going back and forth from kyoto and osaka and nara. just stay in osaka then go to kyoto then stay there too. =) if you are into culture, you will really dig kyoto. one of the best places ive been to. also, masaya mag-bike dun hehe.

wala na masyado places na covered in snow. tunaw na talaga lahat. pero may konting snowfall pa rin of course but not much to cover the ground in white.

as for passes, we didnt really buy those passes so i can't help you there. =)

Wow! Gusto ko yung bike moment sa kyoto... Salamat sis. Any recommendation hotel in kyoto? We plan to stay in Fraser residences in Osaka or do you also have suggestion sa osaka hotel? Last, have you try going to Mt Fuji during your early week March stay in osaka? Thinking lang kung carry namin isingit sya sa 5D na vacay namin. Thanks talaga sis!

^yup frasier is walking distance using the nankai train from the airport. if you want to stay near dotonbori where all the nice restos are located, stay in vista grande osaka. halos same price lang yang 2 hotels na yan. both are almost new and modern yung loob =)

i think that 5D vacay is just good for osaka-kyoto. when we went there, we stayed for a week in osaka and kyoto alone ha. parang amazing race gagawin mo if kasama mt. fuji. we didn't try going there early march. it was april na when we went to mt. fuji on a diff trip =)

Last mura ba gadgets sa Osaka? I know sa tokyo mura kasi don ko nabili yung ipod touch before na more than 50% lower sa Manila, so wondering kung meron bang ganun sa osaka.

^hi, sis! if you really want to see mt. fuji, here's a suggestion:

Day 1: Arrival, night travel to Tokyo (though me direct route to Shizuoka or Yamanashi prefecture, from Shinjuku kasi travel namin before to Mt. Fuji kaya not much help there).

Day 2: Whole Day Mt. Fuji tour, night transfer, morning arrival in Osaka or Kyoto.
Day 3: Osaka/Kyoto
Day 4: Osaka/Kyoto
Day 5: Osaka/Kyoto

Meron pa snow sa mga mountains during that time. Near Osaka Station, me malaking Bic Store Yodobashi  for electronics. Parang apple products almost same lang sa world market (unless old models na). As for meals, around 1,500 yen, set meal na sa decent restaurants.
