hay naku. christmas na christmas and i found out that i was banned from accessing GT. very weird since i haven't been visiting GT for days and the only places na nagppost ako was here.

apparently, yung gulong nangyayari caused several members to be banned. i emailed the webmaster and found out na IP block ang ginawa ng managing editor which resulted to a lot of members getting banned inadvertently.

that's the problem if the moderators are not strict with the members. perverts like this harass members.

I doubt that companies like Johnson & Johnson would want to be associated with a site that's so loosely moderated to the point that anyone can be accused of nymphomania ...and the offender gets a slap in the wrist because the site administrator is too afraid of any perceived legal repercussions of taking a more stringent action.

mr. punch, i couldn't agree with you more. unilab is also a heavy advertiser here in FN and other summitmedia sites. and if this continues, i'd be more than willing to make recommendations to our brands not to advertise here. we don't want to be associated with sites that allow women to be harassed. 

but I still wanna believe that the FN Admin is not sleeping on its job. though we all want FN to act fast on this issue, do remember that they(FN) also have to study and investigate this mess thoroughly before taking any action. let's give them some time to figure out how to boot this pervert out of GT PERMANENTLY, without affecting legit GT members(general IP ban won't just work, sorry).

fellow GTalkers, if you have any suggestions how to EFFECTIVELY prevent this pervert from posting/signing up using different alternicks and email addresses, please do get in touch with the FN Admin. paging GT IT experts!

anetski, i also want to believe that the administrators are not sleeping on the job. but in the more than five years that i've been a member of GT, i've never encountered this kind of gulo, thanks to the vigilance of the old web team of GT and the mods.

of course, nagkaroon na ng perverts here and in other summit sites like candy pero the old team was able to prevent it from getting out of hand. they have always been quick in addressing concerns, including the alternicks, different emails, etc.

FN admin, here's a tip. ask your programmers and developers on how to address this, especially DKho. THEY KNOW HOW TO PREVENT THIS. they've had years of experience handling these kinds of site problems. YOU JUST NEED TO ASK THEM.

"batchmate" ko si ms. joy campos of unilab sa isang org. (may batch photo kami as proof) if we need to use other channels, so the owner may listen, maybe we can go thru that org. i eventually became a member of the org's executive committee and still have friends there. My former boss is still there. the org is quite close with unilab as it holds a lot of activities there.

I remember this templar_knight. Lillyanne had been vigilant following him before and kept banning each and every alternick of his. Yes, I remember now...he did use proxy sites when he got banned and re-banned and re-banned. Lillyanne had to do something about that rin. Naging internet sleuth bigla si Motherhood! If I still kept the logs for Girltalk at the time we were moderating, andun pa yung ibang alternicks nya, and probably some of his IPs. Maybe Lillyanne still has those. Kilalang kilala niya ang da-moves nitong templar_knight, huli agad eh. Pinaglalamayan ito dati matigil lang. Isa siya sa nag-pastress sa amin.

Amazing, 2009...ay 2010 na...yun pa rin ang gawain niya! 

Hope what FN Admin has done will be able to stop him FOR GOOD.

And may problema talaga sa security ang Girltalk forum ever since. It's not just a case of public forum = no security. I mean, the backbone of this forum is faulty. Sorry to say this. Leela probably knows this more. That's why, vigilance is very important. Minsan kala ng ibang tao OA ang mga mods sa sobrang bantay-salakay. But, you know (copyright Manny Pacquiao), it's necessary.
