Hello, question - did you also change your signature when you got married? I am still thinking if I'll change my signature.
I am on the process of acquiring IDs under my married name.

^yes sis kailangan eh. nakakalito nga kasi sa ibang banks eh iba pa din gamit kong signature. kanina after 1 year eh napuna ng bank teller na nag iba daw signature ko (using my former surname) sabi nya punta ko sa branch kung san ako nag open ng bank pabago daw ako signature. sabi ko ok lang papabago talaga ko since papa change of status na din ako haha!

^sa mga government sis oo. sa bank nalang hindi. tsaka pala passport ko di ko pa pinapalitan kasi kakaparenew ko lang nung 2014 bago ko ikasal. sayang yung mga visa hehe

wala ba talagang ibang way to check if available na MC sa NSO? we got our copy of MC from the LCRO a week after our wedding kasi, was thinking baka naiforward na agad. di ako makapag-update status sa BIR and sa SSS. -_-

Hello guys,

Seeking your advice on this.

I got married last August 2015 and I am 7 months pregnant now. I already have a copy of my marriage certificate authenticated by NSO.

Do I need change my status and name in SSS and Philhealth so I can avail the benefits? Haven't filed my MAT1 yet and I'm planning to do so in the next couple of weeks.

If no need naman to change name and status prior to giving birth, is my marriage certificate enough para sa documents ni baby? I mean for my baby's birth certificate and hospital records?

Hi sisses! May deadline ba ng pagchange ng status sa government id's etc? Okay lang ba kung sa renewal na lang kung kelan sila maeexpire? Tamad lang. Hehe

coco_cola It's actually up to you eh, for baby's birth certificate, marriage certificate of the parents is enough na regardless if the mother used the maiden name when confined or the husband's surname.

Ako kasi I had to change my status sa SSS before giving birth kasi I need to use my husband's Philhealth back then kasi I was on LOA so walang hulog SSS ko prior to giving birth. I had to use my husband's surname for the Philhealth kasi when he filed me as his dependent, married name ko na nilagay niya, so married name ko nag-appear sa MDR niya kaya married name ko ginamit ko when I gave birth, so para mag-match yung mga hospital records ko sa SSS name ko I had to change my SSS status. Since CS pa ko may mga Operating Room Record pang kelangan. Di ko kasi alam sa SSS nun if ano policies nila sa ganun eh so para mapadali at mag-match records ko, I changed na lang.

Just requested our MC online last week, which is 3mos after our wedding. Got a text from PSA a few days after na for their manual verification daw yung request ko with tentative release date of March 16. Therefore my MC is not really "out there" yet, since they still have to do some manual stuff. Bagal lang.

^^ medyo mabagal nga yung sayo sis. Ako mid sept kami kinasal and nagrequest ako 1st week ng january tapos 3 days after nadeliver din agad.

Ako January 2015 kinasal. Nakakuha ng MC sa NSO mga 3 months after. Thru SM Business Center lang ako nag-request then nakuha ko after 5 business days. Madali lang. Iyong iba after 6months pa nakakuha.

Sis as I know merong 2 websites that offer this- Isa yung ecensus and yung isa NSO something? Yung isa dyan, pwedeng credit card yung isa hindi. Search mo na lang sis. Dun ako sa pwede ang credit card nag request ☺

hello! newly wed here nitong march 5 lang. question po, kelangan ko pa hintayin marelease yung marriage contract namin bago ako makapag update ng civil status and surname sa mga IDs right?
nalilito kasi ako sa gagamitin kong surname. hehe

^^yes usually sa mga govt IDs they'd ask for your marriage certificate pag magpapapalit ka ng name.
