Change of Civil Status

Hi sisses!

Sorry not sure where exactly to post this eh, I'm getting married this January, how do I process yung change of civil status? hubby kasi is leaving the country on Feb naman, so we have to process the changes ASAP para before he leaves, considered na ako as a dependent (or something like that).

Saan ba and what do we need to do?
Pwede ba na after ge leaves ako nalang magprocess?

if sa mga sss or other govt agency, fill up ka lang ng form then submit with a photocopied marriage contract. i have to warn you though, this is easier said than done.
just got married and nahihirapan ako kase in my case, kelangan pa daw pumunta sa mga main office ng ibang govt office like pagibig, philhealth, etc. i dont know about the others pero pinakamadali for me is yung SSS.

After getting married, it took me a year before getting an Id with my married name on it, kasi di ko alam kung saan ako maguumpisa, however the first thing we updated is BIR, then my Health Card since if you are married autmatically hindi na ang parents ang dependent mo, then SS, then may bank account. Hay!at least ngayon lahat ng ID's ko has my married name on it na!

sis superbratinella, you mean may SSS ID ka na using your married name? how did you go about this? i have thebarcoded ID using my maiden name, do i have to apply for a new one as in new application and go through the entire process pa rin for me to get an ID with my married name? although one year na updated status ko sa SSS. thanks

hay sis ang hirap mag changed ng status. kinasal me ng jan. 20, 2009 so after a month lumabas ang marriage cert. ko sa simbahan, dahil hindi pa cllear ang pirma dun wait pa ako for 6 months pa sa census dahil ayaw tanggapin ng sss [textspeak!] sa simbahan. kasi ang purpose ko buntis na me kelangang ko SSS id na married na ako para sa maternity. so naka pag apply me ng sss id mga aug. na up to now wala pa rin ang ID. 
kaya kumuha lang me sa barangay clearance kasi may photo me dun at pwede daw un sa bank kasama ang marriage certificate. ang hirap din hanggang ngaun wala me ID wala rin me mapakita kundi [textspeak!] brgy clearance na surname na ng asawa ko.

^^Yes, Sis.  I have my SSS ID with my married name, I applied just like a new application the only thing that is different is the form that you will be, actually sa lahat ng ID na need to change of my status, SS talaga ang pinaka mahabang processo in my case. BIR, PAG-IBIG, health card and bank account madali na lang basta may Marriage Cert and atleast one ID with Married name. 

Tip mga sis, sa BIR once updated ang status ninyo, you can request for an id, tapos bigay agad.

if employed, the assigned HR usually process that
just ask for a form from them and submit it together with the marriage contract photocopy

^yes that is to update your status, however when applying for ID's you need to process it by yourself.

Tip mga sis, sa BIR once updated ang status ninyo, you can request for an id, tapos bigay agad.

need ba sis ng personal appearance dito? or puede na ipalakad sa messenger ng office?

add ko lang sa passport mo naman, pag hindi pa sya mag-eexpire, fill up ka lang ng form for amendment, a copy of your marriage cert. Tpos pwede na ang magprocess nito yung mga taga travel agency... ewan ko lang kung pwede pa yun ha.

My passport is already under my married name. For change of status in passport need to apply again, hirap lang is sobrang tagal pa ng appointment set date ngayon. Buti nakaabot ako with the old passport application.

Hirap nga mga sis, i recently got married and after 3 months bago lumabas ang NSO Certified Marriage Contract namin and could not get an updated NBI, Postal ID etc without it.

same sa office namin, sila na ang nag aasikaso ng lahat ng papers. we just have to fill up all the required forms except sa sss ID.
Ask ko lang, on filling those forms, do we use the new surname as we sign na? TIA.

when i signed on those forms for change name/ status 'surname na ni hubby ginamit ko..

nung nag change status kami for sss, pag ibig, philhealth, bir and health insurance ng company and ginamit ko lang na marriage contract eh yung registered sa local civil registry..(hindi yung galing ng church ha? request ka ng copy sa city hall where the church submitted your marriage contract for registration..basta may nakatatak na received and registry number pwede na yun.. this was feb 2008 pa ha...

maski when i applied for the digitized id sa sss in nov. 2009 after i gave birth di nila ni require ang nso certified marriage contract.... basta registered tanggap na nila...di ko lang sure kung nagbago na ngayon

sa passport lang ako hindi makapag change ng name dahil sa US Visa ko so nagparenew ako single pa din name ko

ibabalik naman sayo ang lumang passport mo kung sakaling magpachange name ka.. pag babyahe ka ng US..you can still present your old passport..staple mo nalang 'yong luma sa bago.. 'yong back cover ng new then front cover ng old.. that's what my colleague did..
