Yung uncle ko na nasa US na more than 20 years na dun at 57 years old na sya ngayon ay nagvoluntary contribution about 3 years ago para i-continue nya yung SSS contribution nya kasi less than 10 yrs pa sya nagcontribute nung nagwork sya dito sa Phils. At pag 55 years old na raw ay every month pwede kang magdagdag ng one bracket sa contribution mo pero pag less than 55 yrs old ka pwedeng 2 bracket ng contribution every month. Yun kasi ang sabi sa amin sa office ng SSS at kaya every month ay pataas ng pataas ang contribution nya up to 1560. At sabi din kung wala ng work dapat yung last 5 years ay continue khit voluntary contribution para mas mataas ang pension.

Sis i dn't think pede pa sya mag apply unless me existing SSS na sya that she just stops paying then continue na lang to be able to complete atleast 120 months payment. SSS also dnt allow lump payment of unpaid previous years contribution.

Also, employed employees & voluntary members can retire when they get 60 yrs old. Yung self employed is 65 pa.

^^pwede pa sis, I did that sa uncle ko 59 years old na siya ng ipa-register ko, as long as wala pa siyang 60 pwede pa ihabol.  kung sakaling di siya makakuha ng monthly pension, me lump sum naman, lakihan mo na lang yung monthly premium.....

SCOPE OF COVERAGE

SSS’ coverage is compulsory for all private-sector employees who are not over 60 years old, whether permanent, temporary or provisional, including domestic helpers. Self-employed individuals (e.g., artists, proprietors, professionals) and workers in the informal sector (e.g., unlicensed freelance workers, drivers, market vendors), regardless of trade, business or occupation, are also subject to mandatory coverage.

Filipinos recruited by foreign-based employers for work abroad, members separated from employment or ceased to be self-employed, and non-working spouses of SSS members may be covered on a voluntary basis. Voluntary coverage is also available for locals at foreign governments or international organizations (or their wholly owned instrumentalities) in the Philippines through administrative arrangements.

^Sis, ako voluntary contributor ako.  Yung hulog mo varies (look for SE/VM/OFW total contribution).  Dyan ka pipili.  Note na hindi pwede paiba iba ang hulog mo.  Pwedeng every two years increase mo yung hulog mo to the next available amount.  I do suggest na towards your 10th year, saka mo taasan ang iyong hulog.

http://www.sss.gov.ph/sss/index2.jsp?secid=111&cat=2

Same as what our other sister said, you can make your hulog quarterly.

Ganito ang deadline:

If for Jan, Feb or March... deadline is April 20.
Apr, May or June ... deadline is July 20.
Jul, Aug or Sept ... deadline is Oct 20.
Oct, Nov or Dec .... deadline is Jan 20.

You can pay either quarterly or monthly if you want.  Basta take note of the deadlines for every month.  You can also pay in advance.  Let's say for the whole year.  But you cannot pay for previous months basta nag natapos na ang deadline.

^sis may question ako since na-assigned ka once sa main office ng SSS. was there an instance na naka encounter ka nang kagaya nang sa situation ko?

i began working may 2002. sa previous employer ko, i was employed for 3 years and 3 months. tapos nung tinignan ko online ang contributions nila for my sss account, may isang buwan na hindi nahulugan. hindi ko na nahabol yung employer ko about that, sa isip ko kasi 500 lang yung hinuhulog eh, so wag na habulin. hindi ko naisip na 500 sa akin at meron rin share ang employer ko. tsk tsk

now am employed sa present employer ko since dec 5, 2005. i checked sss site again at nakita ko na wala akong contribution for dec 2005. reason ng hr sa akin kasi hindi daw ako nakabuo nang one month for dec 2005 kaya walang contribution. pwede ba yun? if yes, sige case closed na (for that month only)

then may 2 buwan pa akong nakitang bungi sa contributions ko. oct 2006 eh wala ring contribution. ang reason ng hr namin eh nagkaroon daw ng problem with the RECEIPT with sss. sabi ko, oct 2006 pa yan, 2010 na hindi pa rin resolved? another case was for my july 2009 contribution at ganun rin ang reason nila. Oh well, oct 2006 nga hindi pa nila maasikaso, what more yung recent month lang na July 2009.

dahil sa thread na ito, i am worried about the said contributions. if ipapag walang bahala ko ito, 3 contributions na ang nasayang sa akin.

please advise what actions i need to do. i constantly follow up on this situation from our HR pero laging response is we are still in contact with SSS to resolve this.

thanks in advance

^Hi sis, I have no idea as to how the procedure goes for your kind of situation.  Hindi kasi ako talaga employee of SSS per se.  I only get ideas based on employees who encouraged me to continue my contribution to SSS.

I do suggest contacting SSS to be able to inquire as to why may bungi sa iyong contributions.

^ parang wala sis. as in pag di ka nga nakabayad on the following year wala ka nang benefits. back to zero ka yearly. kung di mo nagamit on that year, tapon lang ang pera mo.

This was also my fear before, that someone would use my SSS contribution for loan. So I applied for salary loan and I just got the check. I just deposited the check in my savings account for future use.

Ask ko lang medyo OT pero regarding Philhealth. After 10 years, pwede mo rin makuha ang lump sum?
