I saw an ortho surgeon to get cortisone shots for my bum knee last week.  we started talking about the best running shoes and when i told him i've been using Asics GT-21** (2130,2140,2150,2160,2170)  he confirmed that this is the best shoes for my gait, running surface and running style.  I tried the Kayanos before but it didn't give the same support, stability  and cushioning that I get from the GT-21**.
(ps,  the bum knee was from an accident, not bec of the running shoes).

Some sports supply shops has this stuff for classifying your foot's type and walking/running habit before choosing the shoe to buy. Have anyone tried it? Effective ba? Or should we stick to the classic of trying any shoes and get the one that fits you perfectly and comfortably?

runnr has gait analysis. free naman yun. 4k shoes depende sa brand eh. I'm also looking for one pero yung mga gusto ko na running shoues are too expensive

I think ok yun service na yun, sis. The person who assisted me even told me how to walk/run more effectively. I've been stretching my legs too much daw which does something to my balance. Sinunod ko naman sya although di ko binili yun recommended shoes nya kasi di ko type haha. In the end, I still chose style over function.

This is a really good thread. I didn't know you have to consider a lot to buy running shoes. Dati I just go to a store look at the running shoes and get the size and look/style that i like

Newbie runner here. I don't know my foot/gait type and there weren't a lot of choices for my size so I got a Merrell AllOut Rush. I didn't know they were trail running shoes, meant more for dirt roads and such. I use them on the track, but they're okay naman despite that.

Hi. I'm looking for shoes na size 3, US size sya. Maliit kasi talaga paa ko.. And nahihirapan ako mag tingin ng rubber shoes talaga kasi mostly size 6 yung smallest na andun... I want sana yung asics or nike. But any good brand will do as long as may size ako.. And preferrably less than 4k sana...

^try the kid's section sis. I'm a size 6 but the rubber shoes for driving are made mostly for men only. An SA advised me to look one for a pair at the kid's section. I got mine at puma.

For flat footed people like me, try buying running shoes na meron built in arc to assist your running. Ako kasi im super flat footed so i got myself new balance 1226. Super comfy siya for me and i can run as much as i can without my feet hurting so much.

If you are not sure if you have flat feet, you can go to mizuno. They have a pad na parang when you step on it, your feet will leave a mark. Tapos from there, you will see if flat footed ka or not

when i bought my 1st running shoes, i chose beauty over quality so I ended up having an injury. but now i know better, and in fairness, there are a lot of women's running shoes with cute designs.

i'm using [textspeak!] running (neutral) shoes (i forgot ng model), so far it endured 2 marathons and a lot of lsds and practice runs. Too bad K Swiss discounted their active line.
