Meron pa bang ibang store na gumagawa ng gait analysis? Besides Runnr and the other store mentioned here? A bit too far from me kasi.

i choose shoes that are super lightweight. like adidas adizero or nike free. i also want to try five fingers but i really cant get myself to pay for weird looking footwear, at least for me.

I'm using Nike pre (air max+)

Yan yung nakalagay sa shoes, (bigay lang kasi ng nanay ko)
so far, hndi sumakit ang paa ko after 10km of non-stop running. (da best)

I also have Nike free (pang 3rd ko usually nabubutas yung fabric sa likod) - hindi ko masyadong feel pang takbo, para akong madadapa. pero super comfortable talaga.

Im lovin this Nike run avant I got solely bec of its glowing neon green color, it's an old design I think. It's so damn light that even when Im just walking, my pace quickly transforms involuntarily to running. Sarap kasi itakbo.

i finally have merrell with vibram. and ang cool kasi pang-water din sya so madaling matuyo. and hindi ka basta basta madudulas. :) it's surprisingly light on the feet, cute pa yung design. mine is merrell water maipo. :)

If you mean trail runners, you can check out TNF, Columbia or Keen, you can find some models of these at discounted prices in outdoor shops (R.O.X., TNF, Columbia, etc.).  Also, Mizuno, Asics, Adidas, Nike, New Balance, and Merrel also have trail runners in a wide range of prices.  My personal favorite was Hi-Tec but you can't easily find them in the Phils. anymore.  As for recommending model or which brand, I really can't because 1) I don't know your running gait/style or need and 2) I personally won't hike in a trail runner or a running shoes, at least not with the load that I carry.

Edit:  I forgot Salomon, it's now owned by Adidas and they have a lot of outdoor shoes.

Hey, thanks! This is just right on time as Ive been scouting on store shelves this late. At least now, i can easily narrow down my choices. It will be primarily for hiking and usually just for slow-paced running. I have considered something with a cleat-like sole architecture for that much needed grip espy on uneven terrain and at the same time the rubber sole shld be adequately thick for cushioning purposes but must remain light still but I figured it will be difficult to score said features in a single pair.

Slightly OT: When should I change my running shoes? and if I run everyday, should I have 2 (or more) pairs of running shoes para alternate use? My Mizunos have been with me for a year or more already but I still use it regularly (5x a week max, mostly at the gym and not running). I don't join fun runs regularly naman (last was the adidas kotr because i had free tickets c/o a!life vitamins) but plan to go jogging more often since my gym mebership has now expired.

@anachanel, I'm no runner and personally don't know how long before you replace your shoes but logically, if it doesn't support your feet anymore then it should be replaced.  Example, kung pudpud na yung rubber sole at wala nang grip or yung cushion wala nang effect.  Should you use 2 or more pairs, I believe you should.  It prolongs the life span of your shoes and it eliminates dependency on just one shoe model.  Baka masobrang sanay ka sa isang pair na after masira na yan mahihirapan ka na maghanap ng kasing kumportableng replacement.

^^ I'm no runner but from what I read serious runners change shoes every 6 months, even less if you log serious mileage on them. So yes, makes sense you have several pairs to rotate so Hindi nalalaspag ang 1 pair. Or if you go pa sa gym, have a pair just for the gym. I have 3 pairs, 2 cross trainers for gym and group classes and a pair of running shoes. Me I change them every year naman, nice to get new pairs for use sa gym and to go with your new gym outfits. Now will even be buying shoes for Zumba.

I want a running shoe that's lightweight.  Nahihirapan kasi ako tumakbo pag mabigat shoes.  Any suggestion?
