^Doc, may way ba para malaman kung ano ang nagcause ng astigmatism ng isang tao? Sabi kasi ng doctor before (and I've only been to the doctor once  ) usually inborn pero minsan may other causes. Di na ako nagsusuot ng glasses ngayon, I probably should get a new pair soon though. Another question, pag nagglasses ba pwedeng mawala ang astigmatism or is that a myth as well? Thank you!

Doc, ano po yung rigid gas permeable contact lens? Ano po difference nya dun sa mga namention ko po na soft contact lens? Ano po advantages nya? Thanks!

Thanks so much to this thread I've found Doc Richie. My mom is now very happy with her eyes without the cataract, doc. Thank you so much for being patient and nice. Hubby might have his eyes checked anytime soon, syempre after mom's successful cataract removal, he will come to you.

Finally, a thread for the eyes.  I think I have Computer Vision Syndrome, or at least according sa mga nabasa ko sa net na-eexperience ko yung symptoms niya.

• Nahihilo ako.
  Yung lights, hindi siya normal, brighter siya saka as in yung parang kumikislap. Para tuloy malalapit ang stars sa akin hehe. Kaya minsan talagang ang sakit sa mata kapag maliwanag.
  Then minsan nagdodouble vision ako. I think it is correlated dun sa lights.
  Parang hindi na ganun kalinaw ang mata ko. So I don't know if lumabo na ba talaga mata ko or I'm just having CVS.
  

Halos 12 hrs. a day kasi ako nakatutok sa computer for work. Yep, more than 8 hrs. I'm taking vitamins na for the eyes so far nag-improve naman, I'm not experiencing so much the symtoms na although minsan medyo malabo pa rin mata ko, kaso sometimes medyo malinaw siya.

Still not sure if it really is CVS or malabo na talaga mata ko. Don't know if papacheck-up ko ba since medyo nawala naman nung nagtake ako ng vits.

^ I can relate to the CVS... encoder kasi ako.  And I need to read para makatulog sa gabi... 
So, madalas mapagod yun mga mata and it causes blur.... No doble vision, but if its too bright, i need to closed my eyes....
So, I have poor eyesight din....
And i started taking Visionex.  [textspeak!] yun nakita kong improvement...?  Kahit whole day ako natutuok sa monitor, di sya ganun ka pagod and i can still read at night.

^hi sis! Pwede rin ako magrecommend sayo? kung clear lang, O2 Optix or Air Optix. Same company lang sila. Parehas ko na sila natry at mas like ko Air Optix though mas mahal.. Good for dry/sensitive eyes.. I'm not sure yung exact price pero mga 2k-3k yata yung Air Optix, 3 pairs na..   after use , nirurub/clean ko lang sya nung solution then babad lang din dun sa case with solution.. hth!

Where to buy sis? Not sure what my doc uses but I'll ask her next time

^ yung akin kasi di ko tinitingnan yung tatak pag binibigay ng doctor ko haha pero meron naman nito usually sa mga optical? I recently discovered kasi na I have sensitive eyes, like sa ilaw sa mall, or sa cinema.

^Yes. Available yan except mabilis ma-OOS yung Air Optix. Di ako nakabili nun kaya balik O2 Optix ako.

Also may alam ba kayo na colored lenses na 10months to a year ang shelf life? Sa doc ko kasi wala na ganon puro yung 30days-3 months nalang depende on how often you use it.
Ang ayoko kasi sa clear, prone ako to dropping the contacts and since it's clear, mahirap hanapin and ang usual ending is nawawala. So nagswitch ako sa colored, then lately nag clear ako ulit kasi ayoko ng hassle na every month babalik since almost everyday ko ginagamit.

ano mas maganda gamitin to correct vision, the last time 100 right ko and 50 yung left. I stopped using my eyeglasses na, im not comfortable eh.  Di ko sure if mas okay ang contact lens

nagpacheck ako ng eyes, sa EO kase nanlalabo yung mata ko ko.
Gusto ko sana mag contact lens kase pag eye glass baka mahulog pag nasa work ako.
Kase nasa fast food industry ako eh lage mabilis kilis plus may headset pa na suot.

Uncomfortable lang kase sumasakit talaga ang ilong ko kung saan may nakatung tung tuwing eye glass.
SAbe kase nung Optha, di pa daw ako pwede mag contact lens mag eyeglass muna daw ako, kase wala daw 75 or 50 na vision pa ang contact lens ngayon.. totoo ba yun?

ask ko lang 3 years na po kasi eto sa eyelid ko pag hinawakan ko eyelid ko meron maliliit na circle sa loob hindi po siya halata sa loob po siya. malliiit talaga siya, plan ko pumunta sa eye doctor or ent diyan sa manila para pa check meron po ba kayo recommendd?
malinaw naman po 2 eyes ko concern ko yon nasa eyeid na maliliit na circle  ano po ba yon?
wala naman po pain.
anyone meron ganito dito?

That is possible. Yes, see an ophthalmologist.

The cost ranges widely. It depends on the caliber of the doctor, the place the surgery will be done, the choice of lens implant, the method of cataract surgery removal, the presence of senior citizen discount, the presence of philhealth coverage, presence of other HMO's, the type of cataract, presence of other eye conditions, condition of the patient,etc. Range is from zero to 120,000 pesos. Personally, I'd evaluate the eye and patient first before I give formal quotes.

-Hello Dr. Richie just wanna ask something po..was it bad to wear a month past CL po? im using Air optix for toric..i only wear my one pair once last Nov. 1 then just let it soaked into solution and cleaning once a week then give it a try yesterday..how bad is this?does it has side effects?But I noticed that its a kinda blurry compare the last time i opened new one.thank you in advance..

There are manufacurer's guidelines as to use of the contact lenses. That is what is RECOMMENDED for maximum safety. Beyond that, you are no longer in the "maximum safety zone". Not worth the risks of eye problems if you ask me.
