NEVER CONTACT AN EX. Never, never never! Delete him/her on fb, twitter, etc. his/her fone, change your number... Because talking to your ex is pure torture. No reason for you to talk. And oh, you're really not "friends".
Shop.

Therapeutic kapag alam ang limit. Although pag broken hearted medyo sablay sablay 'yan. For as long as may kakainin ka 5x a day, mababayaran ang bills, etc why not? ^_^
Iiyak hanggang magsawa. Do not suppress the feelings. It will just creep out. Do not deny the emotions like anger, just don't act out on it. Wag din maguilty kapag nalulungkot or depressed ka. It's perfectly normal as long as you won't entertain suicidal thoughts.
Accept that it's over OVER. Tipong hindi na magkakabalikan EVER. Because, if you're secretly hoping that you'll get back together, even a TINY hope, it will kill out any chances of moving on truly.
SET HIGH STANDARDS. The reason why we settle is because our standards are set on low or we don't have one at all. No love can ever wash that standard away - EXCEPT your love for yourself. Standards are FOR YOU not for other people.
Love yourself - the good, the bad and the ugly. Accept the imperfections.
STOP STALKING THE EX. Facebook, whatever. You do not need to paddle your self esteem with his/her posts or whether or not s/he is in a new (old) relationship. Maybe the person is faking what s/he feels, too. Or a fake nonetheless.

Go out with friends and have friends readily available when you need to vent and call them @ 2am. Super helpful in times of need. Most friends never leave and partners rarely stay in your life.
Read, take up a new hobby, clean the house, basta keep your mind occupied.
It's okay to miss an ex and think about him/her. But do not give the entire time of the day. Focus the attention on YOU. You're broken up, you can't control him/her in whatever thing you do.
