^backpacking ba? Jakarta city itself e enough na 3 days. Cheap lang local food dito and local transportation (except taxi), sa bali not so sure expenses dun kasi isang side lang sko nagstay. No idea sa gili.

You may want to consider bandung and bogor too.

Mukhang di ata keri ang 17k for a month. Well for me ha. Hehe.

^mura lang dito sa jakarta. [textspeak!] bloated budget na ang 1k pesos per day, including na meals (local food) and transportation (commute). Depends din what you feel like doing here in Jakarta. Mahal magtaxi pero convenient. Food wise, of course mas mahal sa malls. If you're the type na adventurous sa food, try local restaurants around the city. And if you're brave enough, try mo din street food. Hehe.

2-2.5 weeks for indonesia tour? I think that's enough.

Small amount lang ipapalit sa airport then sa authorized money changer ka na lang papalit the rest of your money.

For indonesian cuisine na hindi ganun kamahal i would highly recommend "kafe betawi"

For western food na wala sa pinas meron dito marche, din tai fung

Maganda din ang magnum cafe dito jakarta.

For the city skyline ambiance with food and drinks, ok din pumunta sa SKYE.

^^ shopping for branded items are cheaper in singapore. food wise, every corner of jakarta may food choices. Every where you go, may malls. hehe. 

tourist attractions/sights in Jakarta na ok puntahan for first timer are taman mini, ancol, kota tua and malls. haha.
