Mga sis! no Idea parin kami sa indonesia trip namin next year.
We plan to go to Bandung (half day) and 2 nights in Bali.
But we don't know what to do there, where to stay and what to see.
Help!
Hi, sis! We just arrived from Bali. Though our main purpose was to attend a conference, we extended naman for two and a half days for rest, relaxation, and touring, of course!
1st day was rest and swimming in the hotel, hehe. Next three and a half days was the conference. Half day we went to the Bali Safari and Marine Park (though super major kulang yung half day kasi malaki yung place! we didn't even get to see the marine park!). Do NOT miss the Bali Agung play in the Bali Theatre inside the Park. Ang ganda ng production, grabe! And the safari was sooooo fun!!!!! Ang daming animals!!!!
The next day, we arranged a whole-day tour. Ang type ko kasi ay nature stuff, as in appreciating God's wonderful creation! I wasn't interested in the Hindu temples, so hindi ako pumasok (pero syempre depende yan sa tao, i respect others' interests), pero you can't totally avoid the temples kasi Bali is 90% Hindu population. So the tourist spots are mostly located near a temple area.
Our itinerary for the whole-day tour was (my estimated timelines may be a bit off kasi di ako masyadong tumitingin sa time, hehe):
9:30 - 10:30 - travel from Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel to Tanah Lot
10:30 - 11:30 (1) Tanah Lot. You will see beautiful sea-side rock formations. It's nice to watch the waves crashing on the rocks. Aaaaawww... hehe.
11:30 - 12:30 travel from Tanah Lot to Padang Padang beach
12:30 - 2:00 (2) Padang Padang beach. Lunch, picture-taking, and swimming in Padang Padang beach (yung sinasabi nila na location daw ng Eat, Pray, Love, not sure kc i haven't seen the movie or researched the net) - it's a small strip of beach, nice whitish sand, beautiful rock formations, nakakatuwa kasi habang nasa beach ka, you can admire the cliff. yung ibang kasama ko said that some beaches are more beautiful in the Philippines, pero ako kasi i just appreciate the beauty of what's in front of me and i'm happy to be there. kung super taas ng standards nyo sa beach, baka average lang ang dating sa inyo, i dont know, hehe.
2:00 - 2:30 travel from Padang Padang to Ulu Watu Cliff
2:30-3:30 (3) Ulu Watu Cliff. Standing in awe of God's beautiful creation - ang ganda ng cliff by the sea!!! i just sat there at kumanta quietly ng "Indescribable", hehe. WARNING: this is located inside a temple area filled with MONKEYS (pero you won't enter the temple itself, andun lang sya sa area na yun). Do not bring in sunglasses, hats, or anything na madaling makuha ng monkeys. Cameras are allowed, wag nyo lang ilalabas dun sa area na talagang puro monkeys. Sa viewing of the cliff, walang masyadong monkeys. DO NOT WEAR orange or red slippers, grabe kukunin ng monkeys! yung kasama ko, kinuha yung slippers nya! di kasi nabanggit ng tour guide namin na attracted pala sa orange at red ang monkeys. TIP: if may aagawin ang monkey sa inyo na hindi super valuable, just give it, kasi baka kagatin pa kayo or something. If super valuable, try manipulating his attention with a banana then throw it very far from you! though it didnt quite work sa kasama namin)
3:30 - 4:00 travel from Ulu Watu Cliff to Jimbaran beach.
4:00 - 7:30 (4) Sunset-watching and Beach-side Dinner at Jimbaran. This is a fishing village. There's a super long strip of beach, pero not really for swimming, hindi white ang sand dito ha. Pero this is known for a sunset dinner by the beach, so there's a long line of restaurants. We were happy with our stay here kasi masaya lang to walk by the beach (it's a long strip!) and relax and sit on the sand while waiting for the sunset. My friend and I said that it's a beautiful way to end our trip.
- yung itinerary above ay medyo kulang pa kasi kami sa time, so madami pa kaming hindi napuntahan! ang laki pala kasi ng Bali. hehe. Eh sa may Southern part kami. Ang layo to go to the North, we didn't have the time. So di kami nakapunta sa Northern beaches like Lovina, and sa Kintamani volcano.
- btw, mas maganda ang beaches sa Kuta area ( southwest beach area) as compared to Sanur area (southeast beach area). Kaya lang kami sa Sanur kasi the hotel we stayed in is really great for conferences, as in expert na yata sila sa big conferences. Pero malapit lang naman sa Kuta area ang Sanur area, around 30mins. The airport is located sa south. Super lapit lang sa Kuta or Sanur. If you wanna go north, naku, mga 4-5 hours yata yun.
