at ako'y nagbabalik =) thanks madam c, rys, and the rest of the gang!

so eto, more than one month na rin ako dito sa SG. umuubos ng call card at magdamagan ang internet kausap kids ko and the hubby. haha im sure madami nagulat =P so ayun na nga bumalik na ang asawa at nasa bahay na. pero mga kids, nasa parents ko pa din cuz nawalan kami ng yaya. every RD ni hubby, sinusundo nya mga bata at ayun magkakasama sila sa bahay. someone would ask, for sure na raw ba? sabi ko, hindi ko din alam. and ayoko na rin mag-expect. i guess, i want to take it one day at a time. ingat pa rin ako. and prayers prayers prayers everyday. this what strengthens me and makes me look forward to a better relationship with the hubby. he said he wants to join me here in SG, to work, and to save, and hopefully, by spending time with each other, mag-improve ang marriage namin. hmmm...mejo apprehensive pa ko. i admit, there's still a small voice inside my head telling me to be cautious at yun nga, baka trap lang. ang sama ko ba? so i told him, let's see. besides, i still need to become stable. nakikitira nga lang ako dito eh, hindi pa ko nakakalipat ng place. sabi nya, hindi naman daw now na. pero sana isama ko naman daw sa plano ko.

so anong suggest ng mga single mommies? gow na ba or wait and see pa ren?

sis anet, agree ako kay sis MC. why not give it a try, pero be cautious din and do not expect anything. nakaka-frustrate lang kasi kapag umasa ka, tapos hindi rin pala mangyayari yung ini-expect mo. but in giving it a try, at least wala kang what-ifs in the end.  ;) ingatz lagi and God bless!  :)

sis smoochyz, relax lang sis. you were able to balance your sched nung nag-aaral ka pa. im sure you can do the same thing (work and take care of aviela at the same time) now na graduate ka na. i guess isa yan sa mga specialty ng mga single mommies gaya natin - the ability to multi-task and to make ends meet para sa ating mga little darlings, ang ating mga dyunakis.  ;)

as for me naman, start ng aking almost-2-wks vacation starting tomorrow. pinayagan naman ako ng boss ko na mag-long leave dahil super drained at bugbog na kami sa work. besides, mahigit nang isang taon since mag-long leave ako, kaya siguro pumayag na rin sila. kukuha na ako ng solo parent ID ko during this 2-wks leave. sayang din naman yung extra 7-days leave, lalo na this coming school year, mag-start na ng formal schooling si zion.

Naguguluhan ako mga sis.

My Uncle(my Mom's brother who also acts as my father since my Mom & Dad separated, sha din ang guardian ng siblings ko dahil Mom resides in the states na) suggested na makipagpalit ako ng days na nasakin yung kids dun sa paternal grandparents nila. School days kasi nasakin sila. Then weekends sinusundo sila ng grandparents nila. Nahihirapan ako mag-decide.And shempre nalulungkot. Sa totoo lang it breaks my heart every time my kids leave during weekends. Eto yung mga pinoint-out ng uncle ko.

* Mas makakapag-focus ako sa studies ko, kasi pag nasakin sila ng weekdays 3 kaming nag-school, kailangan ko mag-aral then I have to teach them pa. Shempre kailangan ko pa sila asikasuhin before going to school saka pag dating ko sa house. Para sa kanila din naman daw yun mas mapapabilis ang pag-graduate ko and mas magkakaron ako ng opportunity to get higher grades.

* We can spend more quality time together pag weekends & days na walang pasok pag nasakin sila. We can go out kahit every week. (I've thought about this, onga longer days ko sila nakakasama pero parang kulang kasi nasakin nga sila pero pumapasok ako. Morning and evening lang kami nagkikita)

* I dont need to hire a yaya cos wala naman ako pasok pag weekends kaya maalagaan ko sila and nandito din yung family ko since wala din work, the paternal grandparents ang mapipilitan maghire ng helper.

Mas mabibigyan ko ng gusto nila yung kids ko and makakaipon ako for them.

In favor sakin lahat, pero nakaka-sad pa din cos I wont be able to see my kids everyday, gusto ko ako gagawa lahat para sa kanila e, ako magaasikaso, ako magtuturo ng lessons nila sa school, ako mag-read ng storybook before they sleep.:| Naguguluhan ako. sobra. I wish nandito nalang si Mommy ko.

If ever papayag ako sa ganun set-up, may conditions shempre. And ilalagay ko in paper para maliwanag sa kanila. Mahirap din kasi sila kausap (the paternal grandparents).

* All decisions regarding my kids will still be decided by me cos I'm the mother and legal guardian.
* They have to tell me the whereabouts of my kids in case they are going somewhere during the days na nasa kanila yung kids ko. I should also be informed in case may activities yung kids or meetings that I have to attend.
* My children means my rules.
* All holidays especially their birthdays,Christmas and New Year should be spent with me. In case there is a celebration and it falls on a school day, they should bring my kids home to celebrate.
* During vacation, christmas & Summer, maiiba yung schedule when the kids are staying with them cos Vacation naman at nandito ko.

What do you think mga Sis? Yan palang yung mga nasa isip ko. I need your opinions. :|

Medyo mahirap nga magdecide sa situation mo sis. A lot of advantages if you keep the kids with the grandparents on weekdays. But I also understand your concern about not being able to spend more time with the kids. I would guess na medyo malaki na kids mo based on your pic so established na loyalty nila sayo which means they will call you whenever they have concerns or to update you of what they need in school para in case di ka sabihan malalaman mo na may PTA meeting pala etc.

I guess my questions would be what would be the impact of this change to your kids? How long will you endure this kind of set-up? Also di kaya masanay yung kabila at balang araw eh humingi na ng more time than just weekends? Actually I think you are also losing by giving all weekends to them IMHO.

Maybe what you can do is test the waters. Maybe start by assigning Thursdays and Fridays to them so you can see the difference. At least you can observe if they will be able to provide for the kids' needs on school days and will the kids be ok. Then if you get more comfy you can increase the number of weekdays allotted to the grandparents.
