^sis, with the help of the internet mas madali na mag DIY ngayon as compared to before. If you have the time and patience go for DIY but kung wala kang tyaga to do all the planning then go for a travel agency.

^True. Although sometimes travel agencies can get better prices than if you do a DIY, so it'd be ideal if you can check out both options so that you get the best deal.

Just to share, our family travels a lot and we are very "makulit" sa mga agents namin when we have trips because we want to make the most out of our time. Ang hirap kasi namin i-schedule na magkakasama, so dapat maraming activities, pero at the same time hindi ka naman harassed.  Usually we would opt for custom tours, especially if may kasama kaming mga seniors or small children. Ang hirap kasi pag kasama ka sa tour group, grabe nagmamadali lagi, ganon. If you can do it on your time, ang saya. And mas nakakapag-bond. 

Anyway, I am starting a career as a Trip Designer. I've actually been planning itineraries even for my friends before, since I enjoy doing it so much that I think I even have more fun planning that actually going on the trip.  Maybe other people would find my services useful as well, I can give you a custom "Trip Design" depending on your interest. I work with some travel agencies din so I can give the best deals. For now, I'm starting with domestic travel, as well as Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. For other destinations, I can refer you to agencies who specialize in those places.  PM me.

^You know what, that's what I plan to do when I finally retire from the airline industry. My hubby calls it naman a "Travel Concierge"     So, everytime we travel we make contacts na with the places for future recommendations. Hirap kasi mag refer tapos you haven't experienced it first hand, di ba?

You're right, it's fun making/planning itineraries. I have been doing this not only in my personal travels but also for friends and family. For free! Kasi nga I enjoy doing it.

Yes, that's true. Kaya I make it a point to travel a lot here and abroad, and have a rolodex of the different travel agencies/contacts that I can trust and know how I work. Haha!

mga sis, pa'recommend naman ng travel agency na may passport assistance... kumpleto na requirements ko, gusto ko lang kase makakuha ng maagang appointment sa dfa... and how much kaya ang fee?..

i have a dilemma we booked through an agency a hk-shenzhen package for 3 adults and 1 kid. i informed her that 2 pax are holders of japanese passport but the child is dual citizen. we paid extra charge for that, payment made. eto na problema, ayaw daw ihonor yung package kase need ng 3 pinoy pax to avail it. eh alam nya in the 1st palce na japanese passport yung bata kahit dual citizen.
so shes giving us yung with disney lang wala ng shenzhen, which di kame pumayag since di yun ang unang usapan.

now she said she already paid it sa hk partner kaya di wpedeng refund. kako dapat inassure mo muna bago mo binayran dahil hindi ako ang nagkulang sa info.

^candice23: pwede, although baka mas mahal ang lalabas compared to roundtrip flights. also, flying from caticlan/kalibo to HK...mas limited flight options than if flying from Manila or Cebu.  still, worth looking into if it will save you time and effort.

Ic. mas mahal pala pag ganun. Siguro nga round trip ticket na lang muna since maliit ang airport sa caticlan wala nga palang flight going to hongkong. Need ko pa mag kalibo or cebu. Thanks for the info sis.

^Sure, no problem. By the way, I think Cebu Pacific serves Caticlan-HK. Just not sure if they have flights everyday with that route.

Mga sis, need BIG HELP! Just got awarded yesterday with a free trip to Australia at work, leaving March 26th, it's a work related trip din. However, I don't have a passport. can u reommend a travle agency with the fastest ruch Passport Prcessing? I an in the NCR btw

^Sure, no problem. By the way, I think Cebu Pacific serves Caticlan-HK. Just not sure if they have flights everyday with that route.

sis, walang route na ganyan ang 5J. They have Caticlan to Cebu vv. Then from Cebu meron sila to HKG.
