@ sis remi - 15 kg or 15 lbs? :) for more definition, you'll need to build more muscle, which means you're going to have to start lifting heavier weights. :) if you can do lots and lots of reps, that bar isn't heavy enough!
Hi sis caeca!  15kgs, I knew you'll say it's not enough. :)
I'm trying to increase the weight gradually.  It's usually a 1 hour class kasi so lots and lots of reps.  You think I should do more weight lifting outside class?  I don't have motivation kasi when nobody is shouting at me and no loud music to help me beast myself. :)

^15kg is around 33lbs.. 11 more pounds and that would be the weight of the olympic bar sis..
i remember starting with my first ever squats na manginig nginig pa ko sa pag buhat ng 20kg bar.. try mo pag halo ang mga exercises a body pump in "real life" weights sa BAKAL AREA hehe.. try mo compounds like clean and press (fave ko yun sa body pump before hehe), squats, deadlifts, lunges kung gusto mo haluan.. for your lower.. for upper naman, banch press, shoulder press, lat raises, rows, triceps, biceps.. body pump teaches it naman just make sure you have the right form.. just traslate it in real life. :D

^^ 15kg isn't too bad, considering the high number of reps. :) but i agree with sis feline, go for compound exercises, with heavier weight. how often do you attend body pump ba? you could opt to substitute a couple of body pump workouts with one that uses heavier weight. :) i know it's more motivating when you're in a group and there's someone pushing you, but the nice thing about working with heavier weights is that when you try to beat your previous record, you end up motivating yourself.

Hi mga sisses!  Thanks so much for all your help!  I will try heavier weights, quite hesistant but I will, kaya ko ito! :)

I go Body Pump classes 3 times a week.  I find it easier training in a group.  But progress is not always so obvious. :)

Lift like a man, look like a goddess! ;D
^^^Great quote!
Every woman who goes to the gym should read and memorize these myths.

Seeing pictures here of women squatting brings tears of joy. Squats are the best exercise to build muscle all over the body - period.

sis, masama yun sa health.. yung sis ko naoperahan sa gallstone kasi minsan di kumakain or konti kinakain tapos pag may handaan madami kinakain.. so di na-absorbed ng katawan nya yung excess fats kaya naging buo at naging bato sa bato.. bad sa health ang ganun
