@clumsish... hehe.. it is expensive.  :D i was actually thinking of getting one.. was thinking if it is a good investment... my friend told me.. "oo naman noh!  teacher ka... maganda yan para sayo.. sulit na!"  ... i don't know.. i still think it is expensive. hehe

Clothes.... the truth is I only use generic cycling shorts or leggings. my top is just your normal razor back stretch sando. :)  Basically as long as you are comfortable in your clothes and you can move in it freely.. then that should already be fine. :)

@clumsish... hehe.. please please please skip the "Po, or Kayo" ... no need for it.  pare pareho rin naman tayong practitioners.  ;)

well yeah that is true, the one in auro... the eco mats by manduka are earth friendly.  and from what i know may version pa ng manduka na parts of the profit go to a good cause.  i think the cheapest that they have are 2k... yun lang it's manipis na ng sobra.. which medyo mahirap din magpractice the mat is manipis.

the clothes... the truth is it is better to wear dry fit clothes... even for beginners (unless you are dehydrated....)  will sweat alot.  but for starters... any clothing will do.... actually when i was in india everyone was wearing anything.... no dryfits.... just bascially your comfortable clothing. :)  so ok lang yan.. kahit ano naman pwede talaga. :)

i teach in makati.  one in valero and one guadalupe.. which is like 10 minutes away from high street bonifacio. :)

anyway, i hope this helps!  enjoy your practice!!!!

I got the Manduka Pro Lite mat very nice talaga siya compared to the Nike mat that I used before.  Although the problem with Manduka mats is the coating it has when its new, until now I'm still struggling to take it out since nadudulas talaga ako sa kanya..  But the thickness is really very helpful, sarap...

FYI din, Bliss Yoga Manila has a promo until Dec 15, 2010.  Less 15% on their unlimited monthly and 10% off on their unlimited weekly.  Valid for 6 mos. from date of purchase.. =)

... konti nalang then i'll get na my manduka... just a little bit more convincing i guess! hahaha!!!

i also had the nike mat ... i used for 3 years.  its the mat i used when i went to india for my practice.... may scars na nga sya eh... i've already worn it off.. my foot prints are permamently marked on the mat.  well it's  not a manduka... it costs 1200.. though i just got it for free... manipis and madulas sya... though infairness... my mat (aka mat-ew...) served its purpose..   and i was still able to do my practice.   ... although after using a thicker mat... that's when irealized that it is actually nice to have a thick mat. :)

thanks so much ibong! sorry if medyo makulit kami and magulo. thank you for being patient and making our first experience a good one! next week ulit!  ;D

@Juni - Yogaholic!!!!
@ishko - it is always best to go to a professional.... Yoga may look easy but there are poses that could really hurt you if done wrong... I suggest go attend a few classes first.  :)

@ibong nepomuceno ora  i forgot to ask about the towel. Yogitoes po di ba? Where did you buy yours? I bought na po my yoga mat sa Toby's, salamat sa suggestions!

x0x0 ;)

Hi Clumsish... sorry for the delay... mine's just aquazorb..  not even the one with the stickies... I'm not even sure how you call that... the one with like beads that makes sure that the towel won't move when practicing.. for me just the normal aquazorb yoga towel... so that it is longer.  though i seldom use it coz i feel more comfortable without it... it feels madulas sometimes kasi and i loose grip.  :)

Hi! Yogitoes is a bit too pricey, around 2250Php and is available in Certified calm (shangrila mall), aura athletica (rockwell), and of course in some selected studios around the metropolis.

Try getting the aquazorb towels with the studs, its 1000Php and you get a free bag, where you can put your clothes or other stuff.

If youve been practicing for a very long time I would suggest you get a Manduka or a jade yoga mat.

Hi mga sis. I do yoga every now and then. I really love it but I must admit that it can really be expensive. I hope you can suggest an affordable place to go because I'm really hoping to do yoga every week.

Go to Ibong's class :)
